히브리서 3장

 

예수는 모세보다 뛰어나시다

 

3:1 그러므로 하늘의 부르심을 함께 받은 거룩한 형제자매 여러분, 우리가 고백하는 신앙의 사도요, 대제사장이신 예수를 깊이 생각하십시오

( Therefore, holy brothers, who share in the heavenly calling, fix your thoughts on Jesus, the apostle and high priest whom we confess.)

 

3:2 이 예수는 모세가 하나님의 온 집안에 성실했던 것과 같이, 자기를 세우신 분께 성실하셨습니다

( He was faithful to the one who appointed him, just as Moses was faithful in all God's house.)

 

3:3 집을 지은 사람이 집보다 더 존귀한 것과 같이, 예수는 모세보다 더 큰 영광을 누리기에 합당한 분이십니다

( Jesus has been found worthy of greater honor than Moses, just as the builder of a house has greater honor than the house itself.)

 

3:4 어떠한 집이든지 어떤 사람이 짓습니다 그러나 모든 것을 지으신 분은 하나님이십니다

( For every house is built by someone, but God is the builder of everything.)

 

3:5 모세는, 하나님께서 장차 말씀하시려는 것을 증언하기 위한 일꾼으로서, 하나님의 온 집안 사람에게 성실하였습니다

( Moses was faithful as a servant in all God's house, testifying to what would be said in the future.)

 

3:6 그러나 그리스도는 아들로서, 하나님의 집안 사람을 성실하게 돌보셨습니다 우리가 그 소망에 대하여 확신과 자부심을 지니고 있으면, 우리는 하나님의 집안 사람입니다

( But Christ is faithful as a son over God's house. And we are his house, if we hold on to our courage and the hope of which we boast.)

 

하나님이 주시는 안식

 

3:7 그러므로 성령이 이와 같이 말씀하셨습니다 "오늘 너희가 그의 음성을 듣거든,

( So, as the Holy Spirit says: "Today, if you hear his voice,)

 

3:8 너희 조상들이 광야에서 시험받던 날에 반역한 것과 같이, 너희 마음을 완고하게 하지 말아라

( do not harden your hearts as you did in the rebellion, during the time of testing in the desert,)

 

3:9 거기에서 그들은 나를 시험하여 보았고, 사십 년 동안이나 내가 하는 일들을 보았다

( where your fathers tested and tried me and for forty years saw what I did.)

 

3:10 그러므로 나는 그 세대에게 분노해서 말하였다 '그들은 언제나 마음이 미혹되어서 내 길을 알지 못하였다'

( That is why I was angry with that generation, and I said, 'Their hearts are always going astray, and they have not known my ways.')

 

3:11 내가 진노하여 맹세한 대로 그들은 결코 내 안식에 들어오지 못할 것이다"

( So I declared on oath in my anger, 'They shall never enter my rest.'")

 

3:12 형제자매 여러분, 여러분 가운데에 믿지 않는 악한 마음을 품고서, 살아 계신 하나님을 떠나는 사람이 아무도 없도록, 여러분은 조심하십시오

( See to it, brothers, that none of you has a sinful, unbelieving heart that turns away from the living God.)

 

3:13 오늘'이라고 하는 그날그날, 서로 권면하여, 아무도 죄의 유혹에 빠져 완고하게 되지 않도록 하십시오

( But encourage one another daily, as long as it is called Today, so that none of you may be hardened by sin's deceitfulness.)

 

3:14 우리가 처음 믿을 때에 가졌던 확신을 끝까지 가지고 있으면, 우리는 그리스도께서 주시는 구원을 함께 누리는 사람이 될 것입니다

( We have come to share in Christ if we hold firmly till the end the confidence we had at first.)

 

3:15 "오늘 너희가 그의 음성을 듣거든, 반역하던 때와 같이 너희의 마음을 완고하게 하지 말아라" 하는 말씀이 있는데,

( As has just been said: "Today, if you hear his voice, do not harden your hearts as you did in the rebellion.")

 

3:16 듣고서도 하나님께 반역한 사람들이 누구였습니까? 모세의 인도로 이집트에서 나온 사람들 모두가 아니었습니까?

( Who were they who heard and rebelled? Were they not all those Moses led out of Egypt?)

 

3:17 하나님께서 사십 년 동안 누구에게 진노하셨습니까? 죄를 짓고, 시체가 되어서 광야에 쓰러진 그 사람들이 아닙니까?

( And with whom was he angry for forty years? Was it not with those who sinned, whose bodies fell in the desert?)

 

3:18 하나님께서는 누구에게 하나님의 안식에 들어가지 못하리라고 맹세하셨습니까? 순종하지 않은 사람들에게 하신 것이 아닙니까?

( And to whom did God swear that they would never enter his rest if not to those who disobeyed?)

 

3:19 결국, 그들이 들어갈 수 없었던 것은 믿지 않았기 때문임을 우리는 압니다

( So we see that they were not able to enter, because of their unbelief.)

히브리서 4장

 

4:1 그러므로 하나님께서 주시는 안식에 들어가리라는 약속이 아직 남아 있는 동안에, 여러분 가운데서 거기에 미치지 못하는 사람이 아무도 없도록, 두려운 마음으로 조심하십시오

( Therefore, since the promise of entering his rest still stands, let us be careful that none of you be found to have fallen short of it.)

 

4:2 그들이나 우리나 기쁜 소식을 들은 것은 마찬가지입니다 그런데 들은 그 말씀이 그들에게는 아무런 유익이 되지 못하였습니다 그들은 그 말씀을 듣고서도, 그것을 믿음과 결합시키지 않았기 때문입니다

( For we also have had the gospel preached to us, just as they did; but the message they heard was of no value to them, because those who heard did not combine it with faith.)

 

4:3 그러나 그 말씀을 믿은 우리는 안식에 들어갈 것입니다 그것은, "내가 진노하여 맹세한 것과 같이, 그들은 결코 내 안식에 들어오지 못할 것이다" 하고 말씀하신 그대로입니다 사실상 하나님께서 세상을 창조하시고 모든 일을 끝마치셨으므로, 그때부터 안식이 있어온 것입니다

( Now we who have believed enter that rest, just as God has said, "So I declared on oath in my anger, 'They shall never enter my rest.'" And yet his work has been finished since the creation of the world.)

 

4:4 일곱째 날에 관해서는 어딘가에서 "하나님께서 일곱째 되는 날에는 그 모든 일을 마치고 쉬셨다" 하였고,

( For somewhere he has spoken about the seventh day in these words: "And on the seventh day God rested from all his work.")

 

4:5 또 이 곳에서는 다시 "그들은 결코 내 안식에 들어오지 못할 것이다" 하셨습니다

( And again in the passage above he says, "They shall never enter my rest.")

 

4:6 그러므로 어떤 사람들에게는 안식에 들어갈 기회가 아직 남아 있습니다 그런데 기쁜 소식을 먼저 들은 사람들이 순종하지 않았으므로, 들어갈 수 없었습니다

( It still remains that some will enter that rest, and those who formerly had the gospel preached to them did not go in, because of their disobedience.)

 

4:7 그렇지만 하나님께서는 다시 '오늘'이라는 어떤 날을 정하시고, 이미 인용한 말씀대로, 오랜 뒤에 다윗을 통하여 "오늘 너희가 그의 음성을 듣거든 너희 마음을 완고하게 하지 말아라" 하고 말씀하셨습니다

( Therefore God again set a certain day, calling it Today, when a long time later he spoke through David, as was said before: "Today, if you hear his voice, do not harden your hearts.")

 

4:8 여호수아가 그들에게 안식을 주었더라면, 하나님께서는 그 뒤에 다른 날이 있으리라는 것을 말씀하시지 않았을 것입니다

( For if Joshua had given them rest, God would not have spoken later about another day.)

 

4:9 그러니 하나님의 백성에게는 안식하는 일이 아직 남아 있습니다

( There remains, then, a Sabbath-rest for the people of God;)

 

4:10 하나님께서 주실 안식에 들어가는 사람은, 하나님이 자기 일을 마치고 쉬신 것과 같이, 그 사람도 자기 일을 마치고 쉬는 것입니다

( for anyone who enters God's rest also rests from his own work, just as God did from his.)

 

4:11 그러므로 우리는 이 안식에 들어가기를 힘씁시다 아무도 그와 같은 불순종의 본을 따르다가 떨어져 나가는 일이 없도록 해야 하겠습니다

( Let us, therefore, make every effort to enter that rest, so that no one will fall by following their example of disobedience.)

 

4:12 하나님의 말씀은 살아 있고 힘이 있어서, 어떤 양날칼보다도 더 날카롭습니다 그래서, 사람 속을 꿰뚫어 혼과 영을 갈라내고, 관절과 골수를 갈라놓기까지 하며, 마음에 품은 생각과 의도를 밝혀냅니다

( For the word of God is living and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart.)

 

4:13 하나님 앞에는 아무 피조물도 숨겨진 것이 없고, 모든 것이 그의 눈 앞에 벌거숭이로 드러나 있습니다 우리는 그의 앞에 모든 것을 드러내 놓아야 합니다

( Nothing in all creation is hidden from God's sight Everything is uncovered and laid bare before the eyes of him to whom we must give account.)

 

예수는 위대한 대제사장이시다

 

4:14 그러나 우리에게는 하늘에 올라가신 위대한 대제사장이신 하나님의 아들 예수가 계십니다 그러므로 우리의 신앙 고백을 굳게 지킵시다

( Therefore, since we have a great high priest who has gone through the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold firmly to the faith we profess.)

 

4:15 우리의 대제사장은 우리의 연약함을 동정하지 못하시는 분이 아닙니다 그는 모든 점에서 우리와 마찬가지로 시험을 받으셨지만, 죄는 없으십니다

( For we do not have a high priest who is unable to sympathize with our weaknesses, but we have one who has been tempted in every way, just as we are--yet was without sin.)

 

4:16 그러므로 우리는 담대하게 은혜의 보좌로 나아갑시다 그리하여 우리가 자비를 받고 은혜를 입어서, 제때에 주시는 도움을 받도록 합시다

( Let us then approach the throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need.)
