사무엘하 5장

 

다윗이 온 이스라엘의 왕이 되다;대상11:1-3

 

5:1 이스라엘의 모든 지파가 헤브론으로 다윗을 찾아가서 말하였다 "우리는 임금님과 한 골육입니다

( All the tribes of Israel came to David at Hebron and said, "We are your own flesh and blood.)

 

5:2 전에 사울이 왕이 되어서 우리를 다스릴 때에, 이스라엘 군대를 거느리고 출전하였다가 다시 데리고 돌아오신 분이 바로 임금님이십니다 그리고 주님께서 '네가 나의 백성 이스라엘의 목자가 될 것이며, 네가 이스라엘의 통치자가 될 것이다' 하고 말씀하실 때에도 바로 임금님을 가리켜 말씀하신 것입니다"

( In the past, while Saul was king over us, you were the one who led Israel on their military campaigns. And the LORD said to you, 'You will shepherd my people Israel, and you will become their ruler.'")

 

5:3 그리하여 이스라엘의 모든 장로가 헤브론으로 왕을 찾아오니, 다윗 왕이 헤브론에서 주님 앞으로 나아가 그들과 언약을 세웠다 그리고 그들은 다윗에게 기름을 부어서, 이스라엘의 왕으로 삼았다

( When all the elders of Israel had come to King David at Hebron, the king made a compact with them at Hebron before the LORD, and they anointed David king over Israel.)

 

5:4 다윗은 서른 살에 왕이 되어서, 사십 년 동안 다스렸다

( David was thirty years old when he became king, and he reigned forty years.)

 

5:5 그는 헤브론에서 일곱 해 여섯 달 동안 유다를 다스리고, 예루살렘에서 서른세 해 동안 온 이스라엘과 유다를 다스렸다

( In Hebron he reigned over Judah seven years and six months, and in Jerusalem he reigned over all Israel and Judah thirty-three years.)

 

다윗이 시온을 정복하여 수도로 삼다;대상11:4-9,14:1-2

 

5:6 다윗 왕이 부하들을 거느리고 예루살렘으로 가서, 그 땅에 사는 여부스 사람을 치려고 하니, 그들이 다윗에게 말하였다 "너는 여기에 들어올 수 없다 눈 먼 사람이나 다리 저는 사람도 너쯤은 물리칠 수 있다" 그들은, 다윗이 그 곳으로는 들어올 수 없을 것이라고 생각한 것이다

( The king and his men marched to Jerusalem to attack the Jebusites, who lived there. The Jebusites said to David, "You will not get in here; even the blind and the lame can ward you off." They thought, "David cannot get in here.")

 

5:7 （그러나 다윗이 시온 산성을 점령하였으므로, 그 곳의 이름을 '다윗 성'이라고 하였다）

( Nevertheless, David captured the fortress of Zion, the City of David.)

 

5:8 그 날, 다윗이 이렇게 명령을 내렸다 "누구든지 여부스 사람을 치려거든, 물을 길어 올리는 바위벽을 타고 올라가서, 저 여부스 사람들 곧 다윗이 몹시 미워하는 저 '다리 저는 자들'과 '눈 먼 자들'을 쳐죽여라!" （그래서 '눈 먼 사람과 다리 저는 사람은 왕궁에 들어갈 수 없다'는 속담이 생겼다）

( On that day, David said, "Anyone who conquers the Jebusites will have to use the water shaft to reach those 'lame and blind' who are David's enemies." That is why they say, "The 'blind and lame' will not enter the palace.")

 

5:9 다윗은 그 산성을 점령하고 나서, 그 산성에 살면서, 그 이름을 '다윗 성'이라고 하였다 그가 성을 쌓았는데, 밀로에서부터 안쪽으로 성을 쌓았다

( David then took up residence in the fortress and called it the City of David. He built up the area around it, from the supporting terraces inward.)

 

5:10 만군의 주 하나님이 다윗과 함께 계시므로, 다윗이 점점 강대해졌다

( And he became more and more powerful, because the LORD God Almighty was with him.)

 

5:11 두로 왕 히람이 다윗에게, 사절단과 함께 백향목과 목수와 석수를 보내어서, 다윗에게 궁궐을 지어 주게 하였다

( Now Hiram king of Tyre sent messengers to David, along with cedar logs and carpenters and stonemasons, and they built a palace for David.)

 

5:12 다윗은, 주님께서 자기를 이스라엘의 왕으로 굳건히 세워 주신 것과, 그의 백성 이스라엘을 번영하게 하시려고 자기의 나라를 높여 주신 것을, 깨달아 알았다

( And David knew that the LORD had established him as king over Israel and had exalted his kingdom for the sake of his people Israel.)

 

다윗의 자녀들;대상14:3-7

 

5:13 다윗은, 헤브론에서 떠나온 뒤에, 예루살렘에 와서 더 많은 후궁과 아내들을 맞아들여서, 또 자녀를 낳았다

( After he left Hebron, David took more concubines and wives in Jerusalem, and more sons and daughters were born to him.)

 

5:14 그가 예루살렘에서 낳은 아이들의 이름은, 삼무아와 소밥과 나단과 솔로몬과

( These are the names of the children born to him there: Shammua, Shobab, Nathan, Solomon,)

 

5:15 입할과 엘리수아와 네벡과 야비아와

( Ibhar, Elishua, Nepheg, Japhia,)

 

5:16 엘리사마와 엘리아다와 엘리벨렛이다

( Elishama, Eliada and Eliphelet.)

 

다윗이 블레셋과 싸워서 이기다;대상14:8-17

 

5:17 다윗이 기름부음을 받아 이스라엘의 왕이 되었다는 소식을 블레셋 사람이 듣고, 온 블레셋 사람이 다윗을 잡으려고 올라왔다 다윗이 이 말을 듣고서, 요새로 내려갔다

( When the Philistines heard that David had been anointed king over Israel, they went up in full force to search for him, but David heard about it and went down to the stronghold.)

 

5:18 블레셋 사람들이 이미 몰려와서, 르바임 골짜기의 평원을 가득히 메우고 있었다

( Now the Philistines had come and spread out in the Valley of Rephaim;)

 

5:19 다윗이 주님께 아뢰었다 "제가 저 블레셋 사람들을 치러 올라가도 되겠습니까? 주님께서 그들을 저의 손에 넘겨 주시겠습니까?" 주님께서 다윗에게 대답하셨다 "올라가거라 내가 저 블레셋 사람들을 반드시 너의 손에 넘겨 주겠다"

( so David inquired of the LORD, "Shall I go and attack the Philistines? Will you hand them over to me?" The LORD answered him, "Go, for I will surely hand the Philistines over to you.")

 

5:20 그래서 다윗이 바알브라심으로 쳐들어갔다 다윗이 거기에서 블레셋 사람들을 쳐서 이기고 나서, 이렇게 말하였다 "홍수가 모든 것을 휩쓸어 버리듯이, 주님께서 나의 원수들을 내 앞에서 그렇게 휩쓸어 버리셨다" 그래서 사람들이 그 곳 이름을 바알브라심이라고 한다

( So David went to Baal Perazim, and there he defeated them. He said, "As waters break out, the LORD has broken out against my enemies before me." So that place was called Baal Perazim.)

 

5:21 블레셋 사람들이 그들의 온갖 우상을 그 곳에 버리고 도망하였으므로, 다윗이 부하들과 함께 그 신상들을 치웠다

( The Philistines abandoned their idols there, and David and his men carried them off.)

 

5:22 블레셋 사람들이 또 올라와서, 르바임 골짜기의 평원을 가득 메웠다

( Once more the Philistines came up and spread out in the Valley of Rephaim;)

 

5:23 다윗이 주님께 또 아뢰니, 주님께서 대답하셨다 "너는 정면으로 그들 쪽으로 올라가지 말고, 그들의 뒤로 돌아가서 숨어 있다가, 뽕나무 숲의 맞은쪽에서부터 그들을 기습하여 공격하여라

( so David inquired of the LORD, and he answered, "Do not go straight up, but circle around behind them and attack them in front of the balsam trees.)

 

5:24 뽕나무 밭 위쪽에서 행군하는 소리가 나거든, 너는 곧 진격하여라 그러면, 나 주가 너보다 먼저 가서, 블레셋 군대를 치겠다"

( As soon as you hear the sound of marching in the tops of the balsam trees, move quickly, because that will mean the LORD has gone out in front of you to strike the Philistine army.")

 

5:25 다윗은 주님께서 명하신 대로, 게바에서 게셀에 이르기까지 쫓아가면서, 블레셋 군대를 무찔렀다

( So David did as the LORD commanded him, and he struck down the Philistines all the way from Gibeon to Gezer.)

사무엘하 6장

 

하나님의 궤를 예루살렘으로 옮기다;대상13:1-14,15:25-16:6,43

 

6:1 다윗이 다시 이스라엘에서 정병 삼만 명을 징집하여서,

( David again brought together out of Israel chosen men, thirty thousand in all.)

 

6:2 그들을 모두 이끌고 유다의 바알라로 올라갔다 거기에서 하나님의 궤를 옮겨 올 생각이었다 그 궤는 그룹들 위에 앉아 계신 만군의 주님의 이름으로 부르는 궤였다

( He and all his men set out from Baalah of Judah to bring up from there the ark of God, which is called by the Name, the name of the LORD Almighty, who is enthroned between the cherubim that are on the ark.)

 

6:3 그들이 언덕 위에 있는 아비나답의 집에서 하나님의 궤를 꺼내서, 새 수레에 싣고 나올 때에, 아비나답의 두 아들 웃사와 아히요가 그 새 수레를 몰았다

( They set the ark of God on a new cart and brought it from the house of Abinadab, which was on the hill. Uzzah and Ahio, sons of Abinadab, were guiding the new cart)

 

6:4 그들이 산에 있는 아비나답의 집에서 하나님의 궤를 싣고 나올 때에, 아히요는 궤 앞에서 걸었고,

( with the ark of God on it, and Ahio was walking in front of it.)

 

6:5 다윗과 이스라엘의 모든 가문은, 온 힘을 다하여서, 잣나무로 만든 온갖 악기와 수금과 거문고를 타며, 소구와 꽹과리와 심벌즈를 치면서, 주님 앞에서 기뻐하였다

( David and the whole house of Israel were celebrating with all their might before the LORD, with songs and with harps, lyres, tambourines, sistrums and cymbals.)

 

6:6 그들이 나곤의 타작 마당에 이르렀을 때에, 소들이 뛰어서 궤가 떨어지려고 하였으므로, 웃사가 손을 내밀어 하나님의 궤를 꼭 붙들었는데,

( When they came to the threshing floor of Nacon, Uzzah reached out and took hold of the ark of God, because the oxen stumbled.)

 

6:7 주 하나님이 웃사에게 진노하셔서 거기에서 그를 치시니, 그가 거기 하나님의 궤 곁에서 죽었다

( The LORD'S anger burned against Uzzah because of his irreverent act; therefore God struck him down and he died there beside the ark of God.)

 

6:8 주님께서 그렇게 급격히 웃사를 벌하셨으므로, 다윗이 화를 내었다 그래서 그 곳 이름을 오늘날까지 베레스 웃사라고 한다

( Then David was angry because the LORD'S wrath had broken out against Uzzah, and to this day that place is called Perez Uzzah.)

 

6:9 그 날 다윗은 이 일 때문에 주님이 무서워서 "이래서야 내가 어떻게 주님의 궤를 내가 있는 곳으로 옮길 수 있겠는가?" 하였다

( David was afraid of the LORD that day and said, "How can the ark of the LORD ever come to me?")

 

6:10 그래서 다윗은 주님의 궤를 '다윗 성'으로 옮기지 않고, 가드 사람 오벳에돔의 집으로 실어 가게 하였다

( He was not willing to take the ark of the LORD to be with him in the City of David. Instead, he took it aside to the house of Obed-Edom the Gittite.)

 

6:11 그래서 주님의 궤가 가드 사람 오벳에돔의 집에서 석 달 동안 머물렀는데, 그 때에 주님께서 오벳에돔과 그의 온 집안에 복을 내려 주셨다

( The ark of the LORD remained in the house of Obed-Edom the Gittite for three months, and the LORD blessed him and his entire household.)

 

6:12 누군가가, 오벳에돔의 집에 하나님의 궤를 보관하였기 때문에, 주님께서 오벳에돔의 집과 그에게 딸린 모든 것에 복을 내려 주셨다는 소식을, 다윗 왕에게 전하였다 그리하여 다윗은 기쁜 마음으로 가서, 하나님의 궤를 오벳에돔의 집에서 '다윗 성'으로 가지고 올라왔다 궤를 옮길 때에 그는 큰 축제를 벌였다

( Now King David was told, "The LORD has blessed the household of Obed-Edom and everything he has, because of the ark of God." So David went down and brought up the ark of God from the house of Obed-Edom to the City of David with rejoicing.)

 

6:13 다윗은, 주님의 궤를 멘 사람들이 여섯 걸음을 옮겼을 때에, 행렬을 멈추게 하고, 소와 살진 양을 제물로 잡아서 바쳤다

( When those who were carrying the ark of the LORD had taken six steps, he sacrificed a bull and a fattened calf.)

 

6:14 그리고 다윗은 모시로 만든 에봇만을 걸치고, 주님 앞에서 온 힘을 다하여 힘차게 춤을 추었다

( David, wearing a linen ephod, danced before the LORD with all his might,)

 

6:15 다윗과 온 이스라엘 가문은 환호성을 올리고, 나팔 소리가 우렁찬 가운데, 주님의 궤를 옮겨 왔다

( while he and the entire house of Israel brought up the ark of the LORD with shouts and the sound of trumpets.)

 

6:16 주님의 궤가 '다윗 성'으로 들어올 때에, 사울의 딸 미갈이 창 밖을 내다보다가, 다윗 왕이 주님 앞에서 뛰면서 춤을 추는 것을 보고, 마음 속으로 그를 업신여겼다

( As the ark of the LORD was entering the City of David, Michal daughter of Saul watched from a window. And when she saw King David leaping and dancing before the LORD, she despised him in her heart.)

 

6:17 그들이 주님의 궤를 들어다가, 다윗이 궤를 두려고 쳐 놓은 장막 안 제자리에 옮겨 놓았을 때에, 다윗이 주님 앞에 번제와 화목제를 드렸다

( They brought the ark of the LORD and set it in its place inside the tent that David had pitched for it, and David sacrificed burnt offerings and fellowship offerings before the LORD.)

 

6:18 다윗은 번제와 화목제를 드리고 나서, 만군의 주님의 이름으로 백성에게 복을 빌어 주고,

( After he had finished sacrificing the burnt offerings and fellowship offerings, he blessed the people in the name of the LORD Almighty.)

 

6:19 그 곳에 모인 온 이스라엘 백성에게, 남녀를 가리지 않고, 각 사람에게, 빵 한 덩이와 고기 한 점과 건포도 과자 한 개씩을 나누어 주었다 그런 다음에 온 백성이 각각 자기들의 집으로 돌아갔다

( Then he gave a loaf of bread, a cake of dates and a cake of raisins to each person in the whole crowd of Israelites, both men and women. And all the people went to their homes.)

 

6:20 다윗이 자기의 집안 식구들에게 복을 빌어 주려고 궁전으로 돌아가니, 사울의 딸 미갈이 다윗을 맞으러 나와서, 이렇게 말하였다 "오늘 이스라엘의 임금님이, 건달패들이 맨살을 드러내고 춤을 추듯이, 신하들의 아내가 보는 앞에서 몸을 드러내며 춤을 추셨으니, 임금님의 체통이 어떻게 되었겠습니까?"

( When David returned home to bless his household, Michal daughter of Saul came out to meet him and said, "How the king of Israel has distinguished himself today, disrobing in the sight of the slave girls of his servants as any vulgar fellow would!")

 

6:21 다윗이 미갈에게 대답하였다 "그렇소 내가 주님 앞에서 그렇게 춤을 추었소 주님께서는, 그대의 아버지와 그의 온 집안이 있는데도, 그들을 마다하시고, 나를 뽑으셔서, 주님의 백성 이스라엘을 다스리도록, 통치자로 세워 주셨소 그러니 나는 주님을 찬양할 수밖에 없소 나는 언제나 주님 앞에서 기뻐하며 뛸 것이오

( David said to Michal, "It was before the LORD, who chose me rather than your father or anyone from his house when he appointed me ruler over the LORD'S people Israel--I will celebrate before the LORD.)

 

6:22 내가 스스로를 보아도 천한 사람처럼 보이지만, 주님을 찬양하는 일 때문이라면, 이보다 더 낮아지고 싶소 그래도 그대가 말한 그 여자들은 나를 더욱더 존경할 것이오"

( I will become even more undignified than this, and I will be humiliated in my own eyes. But by these slave girls you spoke of, I will be held in honor.")

 

6:23 이런 일 때문에 사울의 딸 미갈은 죽는 날까지 자식을 낳지 못하였다

( And Michal daughter of Saul had no children to the day of her death.)

사무엘하 7장

 

나단의 예언;대상17:1-15

 

7:1 주님께서 사방에 있는 모든 원수에게서 다윗 왕을 안전하게 지켜 주셨으므로, 왕은 이제 자기의 왕궁에서 살게 되었다

( After the king was settled in his palace and the LORD had given him rest from all his enemies around him,)

 

7:2 하루는, 왕이 예언자 나단에게 말하였다 "나는 백향목 왕궁에 사는데, 하나님의 궤는 아직도 휘장 안에 있습니다"

( he said to Nathan the prophet, "Here I am, living in a palace of cedar, while the ark of God remains in a tent.")

 

7:3 나단이 왕에게 말하였다 "주님께서 임금님과 함께 계시니, 가셔서, 무슨 일이든지 계획하신 대로 하십시오"

( Nathan replied to the king, "Whatever you have in mind, go ahead and do it, for the LORD is with you.")

 

7:4 그러나 바로 그 날 밤에 주님께서 나단에게 말씀하셨다

( That night the word of the LORD came to Nathan, saying:)

 

7:5 "너는 내 종 다윗에게 가서 전하여라 '나 주가 말한다 내가 살 집을 네가 지으려고 하느냐?

( "Go and tell my servant David, 'This is what the LORD says: Are you the one to build me a house to dwell in?)

 

7:6 그러나 나는, 이스라엘 자손을 이집트에서 데리고 올라온 날로부터 오늘에 이르기까지, 어떤 집에서도 살지 않고, 오직 장막이나 성막에 있으면서, 옮겨 다니며 지냈다

( I have not dwelt in a house from the day I brought the Israelites up out of Egypt to this day. I have been moving from place to place with a tent as my dwelling.)

 

7:7 내가 이스라엘 온 자손과 함께 옮겨 다닌 모든 곳에서, 내가 나의 백성 이스라엘을 돌보라고 명한 이스라엘 그 어느 지파에게라도, 나에게 백향목 집을 지어 주지 않은 것을 두고 말한 적이 있느냐?'

( Wherever I have moved with all the Israelites, did I ever say to any of their rulers whom I commanded to shepherd my people Israel, "Why have you not built me a house of cedar?" ')

 

7:8 그러므로 이제 너는 나의 종 다윗에게 전하여라 '나 만군의 주가 말한다 양 떼를 따라다니던 너를 목장에서 데려다가, 내 백성 이스라엘의 통치자로 삼은 것은, 바로 나다

( "Now then, tell my servant David, 'This is what the LORD Almighty says: I took you from the pasture and from following the flock to be ruler over my people Israel.)

 

7:9 나는, 네가 어디로 가든지, 언제나 너와 함께 있어서, 네 모든 원수를 네 앞에서 물리쳐 주었다 나는 이제 네 이름을, 세상에서 위대한 사람들의 이름과 같이, 빛나게 해주겠다

( I have been with you wherever you have gone, and I have cut off all your enemies from before you. Now I will make your name great, like the names of the greatest men of the earth.)

 

7:10 이제 내가 한 곳을 정하여, 거기에 내 백성 이스라엘을 심어, 그들이 자기의 땅에서 자리잡고 살면서, 다시는 옮겨 다닐 필요가 없도록 하고, 이전과 같이 악한 사람들에게 억압을 받는 일도 없도록 하겠다

( And I will provide a place for my people Israel and will plant them so that they can have a home of their own and no longer be disturbed. Wicked people will not oppress them anymore, as they did at the beginning)

 

7:11 이전에 내가 나의 백성 이스라엘에게 사사들을 세워 준 때와는 달리, 내가 너를 너의 모든 원수로부터 보호하여서, 평안히 살게 하겠다 그뿐만 아니라, 나 주가 너의 집안을 한 왕조로 만들겠다는 것을 이제 나 주가 너에게 선언한다

( and have done ever since the time I appointed leaders over my people Israel. I will also give you rest from all your enemies. "'The LORD declares to you that the LORD himself will establish a house for you:)

 

7:12 너의 생애가 다하여서, 네가 너의 조상들과 함께 묻히면, 내가 네 몸에서 나올 자식을 후계자로 세워서, 그의 나라를 튼튼하게 하겠다

( When your days are over and you rest with your fathers, I will raise up your offspring to succeed you, who will come from your own body, and I will establish his kingdom.)

 

7:13 바로 그가 나의 이름을 드러내려고 집을 지을 것이며, 나는 그의 나라의 왕위를 영원토록 튼튼하게 하여 주겠다

( He is the one who will build a house for my Name, and I will establish the throne of his kingdom forever.)

 

7:14 나는 그의 아버지가 되고, 그는 나의 아들이 될 것이다 그가 죄를 지으면, 사람들이 저의 자식을 매로 때리거나 채찍으로 치듯이, 나도 그를 징계하겠다

( I will be his father, and he will be my son. When he does wrong, I will punish him with the rod of men, with floggings inflicted by men.)

 

7:15 내가, 사울에게서 나의 총애를 거두어, 나의 앞에서 물러가게 하였지만, 너의 자손에게서는 총애를 거두지 아니하겠다

( But my love will never be taken away from him, as I took it away from Saul, whom I removed from before you.)

 

7:16 네 집과 네 나라가 내 앞에서 영원히 이어 갈 것이며, 네 왕위가 영원히 튼튼하게 서 있을 것이다'"

( Your house and your kingdom will endure forever before me; your throne will be established forever.'")

 

7:17 나단은 이 모든 말씀과 계시를, 받은 그대로 다윗에게 말하였다

( Nathan reported to David all the words of this entire revelation.)

 

다윗의 감사 기도;대상17:16-27

 

7:18 다윗 왕이 성막으로 들어가서, 주님 앞에 꿇어앉아, 이렇게 기도하였다 "주 하나님, 내가 누구이며 또 내 집안이 무엇이기에, 주님께서 나를 이러한 자리에까지 오르게 해주셨습니까?

( Then King David went in and sat before the LORD, and he said: "Who am I, O Sovereign LORD, and what is my family, that you have brought me this far?)

 

7:19 주 하나님, 그런데도 주님께서는 이것도 오히려 부족하게 여기시고, 주님의 종의 집안에 있을 먼 장래의 일까지 말씀해 주셨습니다 주 나의 하나님, 이것이 어찌 주님께서 사람을 대하시는 일상적인 방법이겠습니까?

( And as if this were not enough in your sight, O Sovereign LORD, you have also spoken about the future of the house of your servant. Is this your usual way of dealing with man, O Sovereign LORD?)

 

7:20 주 하나님, 주님께서 주님의 종을 잘 아시니, 이 다윗이 주님께 무슨 말씀을 더 드릴 필요가 있겠습니까?

( "What more can David say to you? For you know your servant, O Sovereign LORD.)

 

7:21 주님께서 세우신 뜻과 목적대로 주님께서는 이렇게 크나큰 일을 하시고, 또 그것을 이 종에게까지 알려 주셨습니다

( For the sake of your word and according to your will, you have done this great thing and made it known to your servant.)

 

7:22 주 하나님, 주님은 위대하십니다 우리의 귀로 다 들어 보았습니다만, 주님과 같은 분이 또 계시다는 말은 들어 본 적이 없고, 주님 밖에 또 다른 하나님이 있다는 말도 들어 본 적이 없습니다

( "How great you are, O Sovereign LORD! There is no one like you, and there is no God but you, as we have heard with our own ears.)

 

7:23 이 세상에서 어떤 민족이 주님의 백성 이스라엘과 같겠습니까? 하나님이 직접 찾아가셔서, 이스라엘을 구하여 내시고, 주님의 백성으로 삼아서, 주님의 명성을 드러내셨습니다 그들을 이집트에서 구하여 내시려고 큰 일을 하셨고, 주님의 백성이 보는 앞에서, 다른 민족들과 그 신들에게서 그들을 친히 구원하시려고 이렇게 큰 일을 하시었고, 주님의 땅에서 놀라운 일을 하셨습니다

( And who is like your people Israel--the one nation on earth that God went out to redeem as a people for himself, and to make a name for himself, and to perform great and awesome wonders by driving out nations and their gods from before your people, whom you redeemed from Egypt?)

 

7:24 주님께서는 이렇게 주님의 백성 이스라엘을 튼튼히 세우셔서, 영원히 주님의 백성으로 삼으셨습니다 또 주님께서 그들의 하나님이 되셨습니다

( You have established your people Israel as your very own forever, and you, O LORD, have become their God.)

 

7:25 주 하나님, 주님께서 주님의 종과 이 종의 집안에 약속하여 주신 말씀이 영원히 변하지 않게 하여 주십시오

( "And now, LORD God, keep forever the promise you have made concerning your servant and his house. Do as you promised,)

 

7:26 그래서 사람들이 '만군의 주님께서 이스라엘의 하나님이시다!' 하고 외치며, 주님의 이름을 영원토록 높이게 하시고, 주님의 종 다윗의 집안도 주님 앞에서 튼튼히 서게 해주시기를 바랍니다

( so that your name will be great forever. Then men will say, 'The LORD Almighty is God over Israel!' And the house of your servant David will be established before you.)

 

7:27 만군의 주, 이스라엘의 하나님, 주님께서 몸소 이 계시를 이 종에게 주시고 '내가 너의 집안을 세우겠다!' 하고 말씀하여 주셨으므로, 주님의 종이 감히 주님께 이러한 간구를 드릴 용기를 얻었습니다

( "O LORD Almighty, God of Israel, you have revealed this to your servant, saying, 'I will build a house for you.' So your servant has found courage to offer you this prayer.)

 

7:28 그리고 이제 주 나의 하나님, 주님께서는 참으로 하나님이십니다 주님께서는 언제나 약속을 지키십니다 그리고 주님께서 주님의 종에게 이와 같이 놀라운 약속을 하셨습니다

( O Sovereign LORD, you are God! Your words are trustworthy, and you have promised these good things to your servant.)

 

7:29 그러므로 이제 주님의 종의 집안에 기꺼이 복을 내리셔서, 나의 자손이 주님 앞에서 영원토록 대를 잇게 해주시기를 바랍니다 주 하나님, 주님께서 직접 그렇게 약속하여 주셨으니, 주님의 종의 집안이 영원토록, 주님께서 내리시는 복을 받게 해주십시오"

( Now be pleased to bless the house of your servant, that it may continue forever in your sight; for you, O Sovereign LORD, have spoken, and with your blessing the house of your servant will be blessed forever.")
