이사야 52장

 

52:1 너 시온아, 깨어라, 깨어라! 힘을 내어라 거룩한 성 예루살렘아, 아름다운 옷을 입어라 이제 다시는 할례받지 않은 자와 부정한 자가 너에게로 들어오지 못할 것이다

( Awake, awake, O Zion, clothe yourself with strength. Put on your garments of splendor, O Jerusalem, the holy city. The uncircumcised and defiled will not enter you again.)

 

52:2 예루살렘아, 먼지를 털고 일어나서 보좌에 앉아라 포로된 딸 시온아, 너의 목에서 사슬을 풀어 내어라

( Shake off your dust; rise up, sit enthroned, O Jerusalem. Free yourself from the chains on your neck, O captive Daughter of Zion.)

 

52:3 주님께서 이렇게 말씀하신다 "너희가 값없이 팔려 갔으니, 돈을 내지 않고 속량될 것이다"

( For this is what the LORD says: "You were sold for nothing, and without money you will be redeemed.")

 

52:4 주 하나님께서 이렇게 말씀하신다 "나의 백성이 일찍이 이집트로 내려가서, 거기에서 머물러 살려고 하였으나, 앗시리아가 까닭없이 그들을 억압하였다"

( For this is what the Sovereign LORD says: "At first my people went down to Egypt to live; lately, Assyria has oppressed them.)

 

52:5 주님께서 말씀하신다 "여기 바빌로니아에서도 똑같은 일이 일어났다 나의 백성이 까닭도 없이 여기로 사로잡혀 왔고, 지배자들은 그들을 조롱한다 날마다 쉬지 않고 나의 이름을 모독하고 있으니, 지금 내가 무슨 일을 하여야 하겠느냐?" 주님께서 하신 말씀이다

( "And now what do I have here?" declares the LORD. "For my people have been taken away for nothing, and those who rule them mock," declares the LORD. "And all day long my name is constantly blasphemed.)

 

52:6 "반드시 나의 백성이 나의 이름을 알게 될 것이다 그 날이 오면, 반드시 나의 백성은 내가 하나님이라는 것과 내가 그들에게 말한 하나님이었다는 것을 알게 될 것이다"

( Therefore my people will know my name; therefore in that day they will know that it is I who foretold it. Yes, it is I.")

 

52:7 놀랍고도 반가워라! 희소식을 전하려고 산을 넘어 달려오는 저 발이여! 평화가 왔다고 외치며, 복된 희소식을 전하는구나 구원이 이르렀다고 선포하면서, 시온을 보고 이르기를 "너의 하나님께서 통치하신다" 하는구나

( How beautiful on the mountains are the feet of those who bring good news, who proclaim peace, who bring good tidings, who proclaim salvation, who say to Zion, "Your God reigns!")

 

52:8 성을 지키는 파수꾼들의 소리를 들어 보아라 그들이 소리를 높여서, 기뻐하며 외친다 주님께서 시온으로 돌아오실 때에, 오시는 그 모습을 그들이 직접 눈으로 볼 수 있을 것이다

( Listen! Your watchmen lift up their voices; together they shout for joy. When the LORD returns to Zion, they will see it with their own eyes.)

 

52:9 너희 예루살렘의 황폐한 곳들아, 함성을 터뜨려라 함께 기뻐 외쳐라 주님께서 당신의 백성을 위로하셨고, 예루살렘을 속량하셨다

( Burst into songs of joy together, you ruins of Jerusalem, for the LORD has comforted his people, he has redeemed Jerusalem.)

 

 

52:10 주님께서 모든 이방 나라들이 보는 앞에서, 당신의 거룩하신 능력을 드러내시니, 땅 끝에 있는 사람들은 모두 우리 하나님의 구원을 볼 것이다

( The LORD will lay bare his holy arm in the sight of all the nations, and all the ends of the earth will see the salvation of our God.)

 

52:11 너희는 떠나거라, 그 곳에서 떠나 나오너라 부정한 것을 만지지 말아라 그 가운데서 나오너라 주님의 그릇을 운반하는 사람들아, 너희는 스스로 정결하게 하여라

( Depart, depart, go out from there! Touch no unclean thing! Come out from it and be pure, you who carry the vessels of the LORD.)

 

52:12 그러나 이제는 주님께서 너희 앞에 가시며, 이스라엘의 하나님께서 너희 뒤를 지켜 주시니, 너희가 나올 때에 황급히 나오지 않아도 되며, 도망 치듯 달아나지 않아도 된다

( But you will not leave in haste or go in flight; for the LORD will go before you, the God of Israel will be your rear guard.)

 

52:13 "나의 종이 매사에 형통할 것이니, 그가 받들어 높임을 받고, 크게 존경을 받게 될 것이다

( See, my servant will act wisely; he will be raised and lifted up and highly exalted.)

 

52:14 전에는 그의 얼굴이 남들보다 더 안 되어 보였고, 그 모습이 다른 사람들보다 더욱 상해서, 그를 보는 사람마다 모두 놀랐다

( Just as there were many who were appalled at him--his appearance was so disfigured beyond that of any man and his form marred beyond human likeness--)

 

52:15 이제는 그가 많은 이방 나라를 놀라게 할 것이며, 왕들은 그 앞에서 입을 다물 것이다 왕들은 이제까지 듣지도 못한 일들을 볼 것이며, 아무도 말하여 주지 않은 일들을 볼 것이다"

( so will he sprinkle many nations, and kings will shut their mouths because of him. For what they were not told, they will see, and what they have not heard, they will understand.)

이사야 53장

 

53:1 우리가 들은 것을 누가 믿었느냐? 주님의 능력이 누구에게 나타났느냐?

( Who has believed our message and to whom has the arm of the LORD been revealed?)

 

53:2 그는 주님 앞에서, 마치 연한 순과 같이, 마른 땅에서 나온 싹과 같이 자라서, 그에게는 고운 모양도 없고, 훌륭한 풍채도 없으니, 우리가 보기에 흠모할 만한 아름다운 모습이 없다

( He grew up before him like a tender shoot, and like a root out of dry ground. He had no beauty or majesty to attract us to him, nothing in his appearance that we should desire him.)

 

53:3 그는 사람들에게 멸시를 받고, 버림을 받고, 고통을 많이 겪었다 그는 언제나 병을 앓고 있었다 사람들이 그에게서 얼굴을 돌렸고, 그가 멸시를 받으니, 우리도 덩달아 그를 귀하게 여기지 않았다

( He was despised and rejected by men, a man of sorrows, and familiar with suffering. Like one from whom men hide their faces he was despised, and we esteemed him not.)

 

53:4 그는 실로 우리가 받아야 할 고통을 대신 받고, 우리가 겪어야 할 슬픔을 대신 겪었다 그러나 우리는, 그가 징벌을 받아서 하나님에게 맞으며, 고난을 받는다고 생각하였다

( Surely he took up our infirmities and carried our sorrows, yet we considered him stricken by God, smitten by him, and afflicted.)

 

53:5 그러나 그가 찔린 것은 우리의 허물 때문이고, 그가 상처를 받은 것은 우리의 악함 때문이다 그가 징계를 받음으로써 우리가 평화를 누리고, 그가 매를 맞음으로써 우리의 병이 나았다

( But he was pierced for our transgressions, he was crushed for our iniquities; the punishment that brought us peace was upon him, and by his wounds we are healed.)

 

53:6 우리는 모두 양처럼 길을 잃고, 각기 제 갈 길로 흩어졌으나, 주님께서 우리 모두의 죄악을 그에게 지우셨다

( We all, like sheep, have gone astray, each of us has turned to his own way; and the LORD has laid on him the iniquity of us all.)

 

53:7 그는 굴욕을 당하고 고문을 당하였으나, 아무 말도 하지 않았다 마치 도살장으로 끌려가는 어린 양처럼, 마치 털 깎는 사람 앞에서 잠잠한 암양처럼, 끌려가기만 할 뿐, 아무 말도 하지 않았다

( He was oppressed and afflicted, yet he did not open his mouth; he was led like a lamb to the slaughter, and as a sheep before her shearers is silent, so he did not open his mouth.)

 

53:8 그가 체포되어 유죄판결을 받았지만 그 세대 사람들 가운데서 어느 누가, 그가 사람 사는 땅에서 격리된 것을 보고서, 그것이 바로 형벌을 받아야 할 내 백성의 허물 때문이라고 생각하였느냐?

( By oppression and judgment he was taken away. And who can speak of his descendants? For he was cut off from the land of the living; for the transgression of my people he was stricken.)

 

53:9 그는 폭력을 휘두르지도 않았고, 거짓말도 하지 않았지만, 사람들은 그에게 악한 사람과 함께 묻힐 무덤을 주었고, 죽어서 부자와 함께 들어가게 하였다

( He was assigned a grave with the wicked, and with the rich in his death, though he had done no violence, nor was any deceit in his mouth.)

 

53:10 주님께서 그를 상하게 하고자 하셨다 주님께서 그를 병들게 하셨다 그가 그의 영혼을 속건제물로 여기면, 그는 자손을 볼 것이며, 오래오래 살 것이다 주님께서 세우신 뜻을 그가 이루어 드릴 것이다

( Yet it was the LORD'S will to crush him and cause him to suffer, and though the LORD makes his life a guilt offering, he will see his offspring and prolong his days, and the will of the LORD will prosper in his hand.)

 

53:11 "고난을 당하고 난 뒤에, 그는 생명의 빛을 보고 만족할 것이다 나의 의로운 종이 자기의 지식으로 많은 사람을 의롭게 할 것이다 그는 다른 사람들이 받아야 할 형벌을 자기가 짊어질 것이다

( After the suffering of his soul, he will see the light of life and be satisfied; by his knowledge my righteous servant will justify many, and he will bear their iniquities.)

 

53:12 그러므로 나는 그가 존귀한 자들과 함께 자기 몫을 차지하게 하며, 강한 자들과 함께 전리품을 나누게 하겠다 그는 죽는 데까지 자기의 영혼을 서슴없이 내맡기고, 남들이 죄인처럼 여기는 것도 마다하지 않았다 그는 많은 사람의 죄를 대신 짊어졌고, 죄 지은 사람들을 살리려고 중재에 나선 것이다"

( Therefore I will give him a portion among the great, and he will divide the spoils with the strong, because he poured out his life unto death, and was numbered with the transgressors. For he bore the sin of many, and made intercession for the transgressors.)

이사야 54장

 

54:1 임신하지 못하고 아기를 낳지 못한 너는 노래하여라 해산의 고통을 겪어 본 적이 없는 너는 환성을 올리며 소리를 높여라 아이를 못 낳아 버림받은 여인이 남편과 함께 사는 여인보다 더 많은 자녀를 볼 것이다 주님께서 하신 말씀이다

( "Sing, O barren woman, you who never bore a child; burst into song, shout for joy, you who were never in labor; because more are the children of the desolate woman than of her who has a husband," says the LORD.)

 

54:2 너의 장막 터를 넓혀라 장막의 휘장을 아끼지 말고 펴라 너의 장막 줄을 길게 늘이고 말뚝을 단단히 박아라

( "Enlarge the place of your tent, stretch your tent curtains wide, do not hold back; lengthen your cords, strengthen your stakes.)

 

54:3 네가 좌우로 퍼져 나가고, 너의 자손이 이방 나라들을 차지할 것이며, 황폐한 성읍들마다 주민들이 가득할 것이다

( For you will spread out to the right and to the left; your descendants will dispossess nations and settle in their desolate cities.)

 

54:4 두려워하지 말아라! 네가 이제는 수치를 당하지 않을 것이다 당황하지 말아라! 네가 부끄러움을 당하는 일이 없을 것이다 젊은 시절의 수치를 잊으며, 과부 시절의 치욕을 네가 다시는 기억하지 않을 것이다

( "Do not be afraid; you will not suffer shame. Do not fear disgrace; you will not be humiliated. You will forget the shame of your youth and remember no more the reproach of your widowhood.)

 

54:5 너를 지으신 분께서 너의 남편이 되실 것이다 그분의 이름은 만군의 주님이시다 너를 구속하신 분은 이스라엘의 거룩하신 하나님이시다 그분은 온 세상의 하나님으로 불릴 것이다

( For your Maker is your husband--the LORD Almighty is his name--the Holy One of Israel is your Redeemer; he is called the God of all the earth.)

 

54:6 버림을 받아서 마음이 아픈 너를, 주님께서 부르신다 젊은 나이에 아내가 되었다가 버림받은 너를, 주님께서 부르신다 너의 하나님께서 말씀하신다

( The LORD will call you back as if you were a wife deserted and distressed in spirit--a wife who married young, only to be rejected," says your God.)

 

54:7 "내가 잠시 너를 버렸으나, 큰 긍휼로 너를 다시 불러들이겠다

( "For a brief moment I abandoned you, but with deep compassion I will bring you back.)

 

54:8 분노가 북받쳐서 나의 얼굴을 너에게서 잠시 가렸으나 나의 영원한 사랑으로 너에게 긍휼을 베풀겠다 너의 속량자인 나 주의 말이다

( In a surge of anger I hid my face from you for a moment, but with everlasting kindness I will have compassion on you," says the LORD your Redeemer.)

 

54:9 노아 때에, 다시는 땅을 홍수로 멸망시키지 않겠다고 내가 약속하였다 이제, 나는 너에게 노하지 않겠다고 약속한다 너를 꾸짖거나 벌하지 않겠다

( "To me this is like the days of Noah, when I swore that the waters of Noah would never again cover the earth. So now I have sworn not to be angry with you, never to rebuke you again.)

 

54:10 비록 산들이 옮겨지고 언덕이 흔들린다 하여도, 나의 은총이 너에게서 떠나지 않으며, 평화의 언약을 파기하지 않겠다" 너를 가엾게 여기는 주님께서 하시는 말씀이다

( Though the mountains be shaken and the hills be removed, yet my unfailing love for you will not be shaken nor my covenant of peace be removed," says the LORD, who has compassion on you.)

 

54:11 너, 고난을 당하고 광풍에 시달려도 위로를 받지 못한 예루살렘아, 이제 내가 홍옥으로 벽을 쌓고, 청옥으로 성벽 기초를 놓겠다

( "O afflicted city, lashed by storms and not comforted, I will build you with stones of turquoise, your foundations with sapphires.)

 

54:12 홍보석으로 흉벽을 만들고, 석류석으로 성문을 만들고, 보석으로 성벽 둘레를 꾸미겠다

( I will make your battlements of rubies, your gates of sparkling jewels, and all your walls of precious stones.)

 

54:13 나 주가 너의 모든 아이를 제자로 삼아 가르치겠고, 너의 아이들은 번영과 평화를 누릴 것이다

( All your sons will be taught by the LORD, and great will be your children's peace.)

 

54:14 네가 공의의 터 위에 굳게 설 것이며, 억압이 너에게서 멀어질 것이니 너에게서는 두려움이 사라지고 공포 또한 사라져, 너에게 접근하지 못할 것이다

( In righteousness you will be established: Tyranny will be far from you; you will have nothing to fear. Terror will be far removed; it will not come near you.)

 

54:15 너를 공격하는 자들이 반드시 있겠지만, 그것은 내가 허락한 것이 아니다 너를 공격하는 자는 누구든 너에게 패할 것이다

( If anyone does attack you, it will not be my doing; whoever attacks you will surrender to you.)

 

54:16 "나는 대장장이를 창조하였다 그는 숯불을 피워서 자기가 쓸 연장을 만든다 군인도 내가 창조하였다 그는 무기를 가지고 사람을 죽인다"

( "See, it is I who created the blacksmith who fans the coals into flame and forges a weapon fit for its work. And it is I who have created the destroyer to work havoc;)

 

54:17 그러나 어떤 무기도 너를 상하게 하지 못하고, 너에게 맞서서 송사하려고 일어나 혀를 놀리는 자를 네가 모두 논박할 것이다 "나의 종들을 내가 이렇게 막아 주고, 그들이 승리를 차지하도록 하겠다" 주님께서 하신 말씀이다

( no weapon forged against you will prevail, and you will refute every tongue that accuses you. This is the heritage of the servants of the LORD, and this is their vindication from me," declares the LORD.)

이사야 55장

 

55:1 너희 모든 목마른 사람들아, 어서 물로 나오너라 돈이 없는 사람도 오너라 너희는 와서 사서 먹되, 돈도 내지 말고 값도 지불하지 말고 포도주와 젖을 사거라

( "Come, all you who are thirsty, come to the waters; and you who have no money, come, buy and eat! Come, buy wine and milk without money and without cost.)

 

55:2 어찌하여 너희는 양식을 얻지도 못하면서 돈을 지불하며, 배부르게 하여 주지도 못하는데, 그것 때문에 수고하느냐? "들어라, 내가 하는 말을 들어라 그리하면 너희가 좋은 것을 먹으며, 기름진 것으로 너희 마음이 즐거울 것이다

( Why spend money on what is not bread, and your labor on what does not satisfy? Listen, listen to me, and eat what is good, and your soul will delight in the richest of fare.)

 

55:3 너희는 귀를 기울이고, 나에게 와서 들어라 그러면 너희 영혼이 살 것이다 내가 너희와 영원한 언약을 맺겠으니, 이것은 곧 다윗에게 베푼 나의 확실한 은혜다

( Give ear and come to me; hear me, that your soul may live. I will make an everlasting covenant with you, my faithful love promised to David.)

 

55:4 내가 그를 많은 민족 앞에 증인으로 세웠고, 많은 민족들의 인도자와 명령자로 삼았다"

( See, I have made him a witness to the peoples, a leader and commander of the peoples.)

 

55:5 네가 알지 못하는 나라를 네가 부를 것이며, 너를 알지 못하는 나라가 너에게 달려올 것이니, 이는 주 너의 하나님, 이스라엘의 거룩하신 하나님께서 너를 영화롭게 하시기 때문이다

( Surely you will summon nations you know not, and nations that do not know you will hasten to you, because of the LORD your God, the Holy One of Israel, for he has endowed you with splendor.")

 

55:6 너희는, 만날 수 있을 때에 주님을 찾아라 너희는, 가까이 계실 때에 주님을 불러라

( Seek the LORD while he may be found; call on him while he is near.)

 

55:7 악한 자는 그 길을 버리고, 불의한 자는 그 생각을 버리고, 주님께 돌아오너라 주님께서 그에게 긍휼을 베푸실 것이다 우리의 하나님께로 돌아오너라 주님께서 너그럽게 용서하여 주실 것이다

( Let the wicked forsake his way and the evil man his thoughts. Let him turn to the LORD, and he will have mercy on him, and to our God, for he will freely pardon.)

 

55:8 "나의 생각은 너희의 생각과 다르며, 너희의 길은 나의 길과 다르다" 주님께서 하신 말씀이다

( "For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways," declares the LORD.)

 

55:9 "하늘이 땅보다 높듯이, 나의 길은 너희의 길보다 높으며, 나의 생각은 너희의 생각보다 높다

( "As the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts than your thoughts.)

 

55:10 비와 눈이 하늘에서 내려서, 땅을 적셔서 싹이 돋아 열매를 맺게 하고, 씨뿌리는 사람에게 씨앗을 주고, 사람에게 먹거리를 주고 나서야, 그 근원으로 돌아가는 것처럼,

( As the rain and the snow come down from heaven, and do not return to it without watering the earth and making it bud and flourish, so that it yields seed for the sower and bread for the eater,)

 

55:11 나의 입에서 나가는 말도, 내가 뜻하는 바를 이루고 나서야, 내가 하라고 보낸 일을 성취하고 나서야, 나에게로 돌아올 것이다"

( so is my word that goes out from my mouth: It will not return to me empty, but will accomplish what I desire and achieve the purpose for which I sent it.)

 

55:12 참으로 너희는 기뻐하면서 바빌론을 떠날 것이며, 평안히 인도받아 나아올 것이다 산과 언덕이 너희 앞에서 소리 높여 노래하며, 들의 모든 나무가 손뼉을 칠 것이다

( You will go out in joy and be led forth in peace; the mountains and hills will burst into song before you, and all the trees of the field will clap their hands.)

 

55:13 가시나무가 자라던 곳에는 잣나무가 자랄 것이며, 찔레나무가 자라던 곳에는 화석류가 자랄 것이다 이것은 영원토록 남아 있어서, 주님께서 하신 일을 증언할 것이다

( Instead of the thornbush will grow the pine tree, and instead of briers the myrtle will grow. This will be for the LORD'S renown, for an everlasting sign, which will not be destroyed.")

이사야 56장

 

56:1 주님께서 말씀하신다 "너희는 공평을 지키며 공의를 행하여라 나의 구원이 가까이 왔고, 나의 의가 곧 나타날 것이다"

( This is what the LORD says: "Maintain justice and do what is right, for my salvation is close at hand and my righteousness will soon be revealed.)

 

56:2 공평을 지키고 공의를 철저히 지키는 사람은 복이 있다 안식일을 지켜서 더럽히지 않는 사람, 그 어떤 악행에도 손을 대지 않는 사람은 복이 있다

( Blessed is the man who does this, the man who holds it fast, who keeps the Sabbath without desecrating it, and keeps his hand from doing any evil.")

 

56:3 이방 사람이라도 주님께로 온 사람은 '주님께서 나를 당신의 백성과는 차별하신다' 하고 말하지 못하게 하여라 고자라도 '나는 마른 장작에 지나지 않는다' 하고 말하지 못하게 하여라

( Let no foreigner who has bound himself to the LORD say, "The LORD will surely exclude me from his people." And let not any eunuch complain, "I am only a dry tree.")

 

56:4 이러한 사람들에게 주님께서 이렇게 말씀하신다 "비록 고자라 하더라도, 나의 안식일을 지키고, 나를 기쁘게 하는 일을 하고, 나의 언약을 철저히 지키면,

( For this is what the LORD says: "To the eunuchs who keep my Sabbaths, who choose what pleases me and hold fast to my covenant--)

 

56:5 그들의 이름이 나의 성전과 나의 성벽 안에서 영원히 기억되도록 하겠다 아들딸을 두어서 이름을 남기는 것보다 더 낫게 하여 주겠다 그들의 이름이 잊혀지지 않도록, 영원한 명성을 그들에게 주겠다"

( to them I will give within my temple and its walls a memorial and a name better than sons and daughters; I will give them an everlasting name that will not be cut off.)

 

56:6 주님을 섬기려고 하는 이방 사람들은, 주님의 이름을 사랑하여 주님의 종이 되어라 "안식일을 지켜 더럽히지 않고, 나의 언약을 철저히 지키는 이방 사람들은,

( And foreigners who bind themselves to the LORD to serve him, to love the name of the LORD, and to worship him, all who keep the Sabbath without desecrating it and who hold fast to my covenant--)

 

56:7 내가 그들을 나의 거룩한 산으로 인도하여, 기도하는 내 집에서 기쁨을 누리게 하겠다 또한 그들이 내 제단 위에 바친 번제물과 희생제물들을 내가 기꺼이 받을 것이니, 나의 집은 만민이 모여 기도하는 집이라고 불릴 것이다"

( these I will bring to my holy mountain and give them joy in my house of prayer. Their burnt offerings and sacrifices will be accepted on my altar; for my house will be called a house of prayer for all nations.")

 

56:8 쫓겨난 이스라엘 사람을 모으시는 주 하나님께서 말씀하신다 "내가 이미 나에게로 모아 들인 사람들 외에 또 더 모아 들이겠다"

( The Sovereign LORD declares--he who gathers the exiles of Israel: "I will gather still others to them besides those already gathered.")

 

56:9 들짐승들아, 와서 나의 백성을 잡아먹어라 숲 속의 짐승들아, 와서 나의 백성을 삼켜라

( Come, all you beasts of the field, come and devour, all you beasts of the forest!)

 

56:10 백성을 지키는 파수꾼이라는 것들은 눈이 멀어서 살피지도 못한다 지도자가 되어 망을 보라고 하였더니, 벙어리 개가 되어서 야수가 와도 짖지도 못한다 기껏 한다는 것이 꿈이나 꾸고, 늘어지게 누워서 잠자기나 좋아한다

( Israel's watchmen are blind, they all lack knowledge; they are all mute dogs, they cannot bark; they lie around and dream, they love to sleep.)

 

56:11 지도자라는 것들은 굶주린 개처럼 그렇게 먹고도 만족할 줄을 모른다 백성을 지키는 지도자가 되어서도 분별력이 없다 모두들 저 좋을 대로만 하고 저마다 제 배만 채운다

( They are dogs with mighty appetites; they never have enough. They are shepherds who lack understanding; they all turn to their own way, each seeks his own gain.)
