이사야 62장

 

62:1 시온의 의가 빛처럼 드러나고, 예루살렘의 구원이 횃불처럼 나타날 때까지, 시온을 격려해야 하므로, 내가 잠잠하지 않겠고, 예루살렘이 구원받기까지 내가 쉬지 않겠다

( For Zion's sake I will not keep silent, for Jerusalem's sake I will not remain quiet, till her righteousness shines out like the dawn, her salvation like a blazing torch.)

 

62:2 이방 나라들이 네게서 의가 이루어지는 것을 볼 것이다 뭇 왕이 네가 받은 영광을 볼 것이다 사람들이 너를 부를 때에, 주님께서 네게 지어 주신 새 이름으로 부를 것이다

( The nations will see your righteousness, and all kings your glory; you will be called by a new name that the mouth of the LORD will bestow.)

 

62:3 또한 너는 주님의 손에 들려 있는 아름다운 면류관이 될 것이며, 하나님의 손바닥에 놓여 있는 왕관이 될 것이다

( You will be a crown of splendor in the LORD'S hand, a royal diadem in the hand of your God.)

 

62:4 다시는 어느 누구도 너를 두고 '버림받은 자'라고 하지 않을 것이며, 다시는 너의 땅을 일컬어 '버림받은 아내'라고 하지 않을 것이다 오직 너를 '하나님께서 좋아하시는 여인' 이라고 부르고, 네 땅을 '결혼한 여인' 이라고 부를 것이니, 이는 주님께서 너를 좋아하시며, 네 땅을 아내로 맞아 주는 신랑과 같이 되실 것이기 때문이다

( No longer will they call you Deserted, or name your land Desolate. But you will be called Hephzibah, and your land Beulah; for the LORD will take delight in you, and your land will be married.)

 

62:5 총각이 처녀와 결혼하듯이, 너의 아들들이 너와 결혼하며, 신랑이 신부를 반기듯이, 네 하나님께서 너를 반기실 것이다

( As a young man marries a maiden, so will your sons marry you; as a bridegroom rejoices over his bride, so will your God rejoice over you.)

 

62:6 예루살렘아, 내가 너의 성벽 위에 파수꾼들을 세웠다 그들은 밤이나 낮이나 늘 잠잠하지 않을 것이다 주님께서 하신 약속을 늘 주님께 상기시켜 드려야 할 너희는, 가만히 있어서는 안 된다 늘 상기시켜 드려야 한다

( I have posted watchmen on your walls, O Jerusalem; they will never be silent day or night. You who call on the LORD, give yourselves no rest,)

 

62:7 주님께서 예루살렘을 세우실 때까지 쉬시지 못하게 해야 한다 또 예루살렘이 세상에서 칭송을 받게 하시기까지, 주님께서 쉬시지 못하게 해야 한다

( and give him no rest till he establishes Jerusalem and makes her the praise of the earth.)

 

62:8 주님께서 그의 오른손 곧 그의 능력 있는 팔을 들어 맹세하셨다 "내가 다시는 네 곡식을 네 원수들의 식량으로 내주지 않겠다 다시는 네가 수고하여 얻은 포도주를 이방 사람들이 마시도록 내주지 않겠다"

( The LORD has sworn by his right hand and by his mighty arm: "Never again will I give your grain as food for your enemies, and never again will foreigners drink the new wine for which you have toiled;)

 

62:9 곡식을 거둔 사람이, 곡식을 빼앗기지 않고 자기가 거둔 것을 먹고, 주님을 찬송할 것이다 "거둔 사람이 자기가 거둔 것을 내 성소 뜰에서 마실 것이다"

( but those who harvest it will eat it and praise the LORD, and those who gather the grapes will drink it in the courts of my sanctuary.")

 

62:10 나아가거라, 성 바깥으로 나아가거라 백성이 돌아올 길을 만들어라 큰길을 닦고 돌들을 없애어라 뭇 민족이 보도록 깃발을 올려라

( Pass through, pass through the gates! Prepare the way for the people. Build up, build up the highway! Remove the stones. Raise a banner for the nations.)

 

62:11 보아라, 주님께서 땅 끝까지 선포하신다 딸 시온에게 일러주어라 보아라, 너의 구원자가 오신다 그가 구원한 백성을 데리고 오신다 그가 찾은 백성을 앞장 세우고 오신다

( The LORD has made proclamation to the ends of the earth: "Say to the Daughter of Zion, 'See, your Savior comes! See, his reward is with him, and his recompense accompanies him.'")

 

62:12 사람들은 그들을 '거룩한 분의 백성'이라 부르며 '주님께서 속량하신 백성'이라 부를 것이다 사람들은 너 예루살렘을 '하나님께서 사랑한 도성' 이라고 부르며, '하나님께서 버리지 않은 도성' 이라고 부를 것이다

( They will be called the Holy People, the Redeemed of the LORD; and you will be called Sought After, the City No Longer Deserted.)

이사야 63장

 

주의 승리

 

63:1 에돔에서 오시는 이분은 누구신가? 붉게 물든 옷을 입고 보스라에서 오시는 이분은 누구신가? 화려한 옷차림으로 권세 당당하게 걸어오시는 이분은 누구신가? 그는 바로 나다 의를 말하는 자요, 구원의 권능을 가진 자다

( Who is this coming from Edom, from Bozrah, with his garments stained crimson? Who is this, robed in splendor, striding forward in the greatness of his strength? "It is I, speaking in righteousness, mighty to save.")

 

63:2 어찌하여 네 옷이 붉으며, 어찌하여 포도주 틀을 밟는 사람의 옷과 같으냐?

( Why are your garments red, like those of one treading the winepress?)

 

63:3 나는 혼자서 포도주 틀을 밟듯이 민족들을 짓밟았다 민족들 가운데서 나를 도와 함께 일한 자가 아무도 없었다 내가 분내어 민족들을 짓밟았고, 내가 격하여 그들을 짓밟았다 그들의 피가 내 옷에 튀어 내 옷이 온통 피로 물들었다

( "I have trodden the winepress alone; from the nations no one was with me. I trampled them in my anger and trod them down in my wrath; their blood spattered my garments, and I stained all my clothing.)

 

63:4 복수할 날이 다가왔고, 구원의 해가 이르렀다는 생각이 들었으나,

( For the day of vengeance was in my heart, and the year of my redemption has come.)

 

63:5 아무리 살펴보아도 나를 도와서 나와 함께 일할 사람이 없었다 나를 거들어 주는 사람이 없다니, 놀라운 일이었다 그러나 분노가 나를 강하게 하였고, 나 혼자서 승리를 쟁취하였다

( I looked, but there was no one to help, I was appalled that no one gave support; so my own arm worked salvation for me, and my own wrath sustained me.)

 

63:6 내가 분노하여 민족들을 짓밟았으며, 내가 진노하여 그들이 취하여 비틀거리게 하였고, 그들의 피가 땅에 쏟아지게 하였다

( I trampled the nations in my anger; in my wrath I made them drunk and poured their blood on the ground.")

 

이스라엘에게 베푸신 주의 선하심

 

63:7 나는 주님께서 베풀어 주신 변함없는 사랑을 말하고, 주님께서 우리에게 하여 주신 일로 주님을 찬양하였습니다 주님께서 우리 모두에게 베푸신 은혜, 그의 긍휼과 그의 풍성한 자비를 따라서 이스라엘 집에 베푸신 크신 은총을 내가 전하렵니다

( I will tell of the kindnesses of the LORD, the deeds for which he is to be praised, according to all the LORD has done for us--yes, the many good things he has done for the house of Israel, according to his compassion and many kindnesses.)

 

63:8 주님께서 이르시기를 "그들은 나의 백성이며, 그들은 나를 속이지 않는 자녀들이다" 하셨습니다 그런 다음에 그들의 구원자가 되어 주셨습니다

( He said, "Surely they are my people, sons who will not be false to me"; and so he became their Savior.)

 

63:9 주님께서는, 그들이 고난을 받을 때에 주님께서도 친히 고난을 받으셨습니다 천사를 보내셔서 그들을 구하게 하시지 않고 주님께서 친히 그들을 구해 주셨습니다 사랑과 긍휼로 그들을 구하여 주시고, 옛적 오랜 세월 동안 그들을 치켜들고 안아 주셨습니다

( In all their distress he too was distressed, and the angel of his presence saved them. In his love and mercy he redeemed them; he lifted them up and carried them all the days of old.)

 

63:10 그러나 그들은 반역하고, 그의 거룩하신 영을 근심하게 했습니다 그러므로 그는 도리어 그들의 대적이 되셔서, 친히 그들과 싸우셨습니다

( Yet they rebelled and grieved his Holy Spirit. So he turned and became their enemy and he himself fought against them.)

 

63:11 그들은, 지난날 곧 주님의 종 모세의 날을 생각하며 물었습니다 "그의 백성 곧 양 떼의 목자들을 바다로부터 올라오게 하신 그분이, 이제는 어디에 계시는가? 그들에게 그의 거룩한 영을 넣어 주신 그분이, 이제는 어디에 계시는가?

( Then his people recalled the days of old, the days of Moses and his people--where is he who brought them through the sea, with the shepherd of his flock? Where is he who set his Holy Spirit among them,)

 

63:12 그의 영광스러운 팔로, 모세를 시켜서, 오른손으로 그들을 이끌게 하시며, 그들 앞에서 물을 갈라지게 하셔서, 그의 이름을 영원히 빛나게 하신 그분이 이제는 어디에 계시는가?

( who sent his glorious arm of power to be at Moses' right hand, who divided the waters before them, to gain for himself everlasting renown,)

 

63:13 말이 광야에서 달리듯이, 그들을 깊은 바다로 걸어가게 하신 그분이, 이제는 어디에 계시는가?

( who led them through the depths? Like a horse in open country, they did not stumble;)

 

63:14 주님의 영이 그들을, 마치 골짜기로 내려가는 가축 떼처럼, 편히 쉬게 하시지 않았던가?" 주님께서 이렇게 주님의 백성을 인도하셔서, 주님의 이름을 영광스럽게 하셨습니다

( like cattle that go down to the plain, they were given rest by the Spirit of the LORD. This is how you guided your people to make for yourself a glorious name.)

 

63:15 하늘로부터 굽어 살펴 주십시오 주님이 계시는 거룩하고 영화로우신 곳에서 굽어보아 주십시오 주님의 열성과 권능은 이제 어디에 있습니까? 이제 나에게는 주님의 자비와 긍휼이 그쳤습니다

( Look down from heaven and see from your lofty throne, holy and glorious. Where are your zeal and your might? Your tenderness and compassion are withheld from us.)

 

63:16 주님께서는 우리의 아버지이십니다 아브라함은 우리를 모르고, 이스라엘은 우리를 인정하지 않는다 하여도, 오직 주 하나님은 우리의 아버지이십니다 옛적부터 주님의 이름은 '우리의 속량자'이십니다

( But you are our Father, though Abraham does not know us or Israel acknowledge us; you, O LORD, are our Father, our Redeemer from of old is your name.)

 

63:17 주님, 어찌하여 우리를 주님의 길에서 떠나게 하시며, 우리의 마음을 굳어지게 하셔서, 주님을 경외하지 않게 하십니까? 주님의 종들 곧 주님의 유산인 이 지파들을 보셔서라도 돌아와 주십시오

( Why, O LORD, do you make us wander from your ways and harden our hearts so we do not revere you? Return for the sake of your servants, the tribes that are your inheritance.)

 

63:18 주님의 거룩한 백성이 주님의 성소를 잠시 차지하였으나, 이제는 우리의 원수들이 주님의 성소를 짓밟습니다

( For a little while your people possessed your holy place, but now our enemies have trampled down your sanctuary.)

 

63:19 우리는 오래 전부터 주님의 다스림을 전혀 받지 못하는 자같이 되었으며, 주님의 이름으로 불리지도 못하는 자같이 되었습니다

( We are yours from of old; but you have not ruled over them, they have not been called by your name.)

이사야 64장

 

64:1 주님께서 하늘을 가르시고 내려오시면, 산들이 주님 앞에서 떨 것입니다

( Oh, that you would rend the heavens and come down, that the mountains would tremble before you!)

 

64:2 마치 불이 섶을 사르듯, 불이 물을 끓이듯 할 것입니다 주님의 대적들에게 주님의 이름을 알게 하시고, 이방 나라들이 주님 앞에서 떨게 하여 주십시오

( As when fire sets twigs ablaze and causes water to boil, come down to make your name known to your enemies and cause the nations to quake before you!)

 

64:3 주님께서 친히 내려오셔서, 우리들이 예측하지도 못한 놀라운 일을 하셨을 때에, 산들이 주님 앞에서 떨었습니다

( For when you did awesome things that we did not expect, you came down, and the mountains trembled before you.)

 

64:4 이런 일은 예로부터 아무도 들어 본 적이 없습니다 아무도 귀로 듣거나 눈으로 본 적이 없습니다 주님 말고 어느 신이 자기를 기다리는 자들에게 이렇게 할 수 있었겠습니까?

( Since ancient times no one has heard, no ear has perceived, no eye has seen any God besides you, who acts on behalf of those who wait for him.)

 

64:5 주님께서는, 정의를 기쁨으로 실천하는 사람과, 주님의 길을 따르는 사람과, 주님을 기억하는 사람을 만나 주십니다 그러나 주님, 보십시오 주님께서 진노하신 것은 우리가 오랫동안 죄를 지었기 때문입니다 우리가 어찌 구원을 받겠습니까?

( You come to the help of those who gladly do right, who remember your ways. But when we continued to sin against them, you were angry. How then can we be saved?)

 

64:6 우리는 모두 부정한 자와 같고 우리의 모든 의는 더러운 옷과 같습니다 우리는 모두 나뭇잎처럼 시들었으니, 우리의 죄악이 바람처럼 우리를 휘몰아 갑니다

( All of us have become like one who is unclean, and all our righteous acts are like filthy rags; we all shrivel up like a leaf, and like the wind our sins sweep us away.)

 

64:7 아무도 주님의 이름을 부르지 않습니다 주님을 굳게 의지하려고 분발하는 사람도 없습니다 그러기에 주님이 우리에게서 얼굴을 숨기셨으며, 우리의 죄악 탓으로 우리를 소멸시키셨습니다

( No one calls on your name or strives to lay hold of you; for you have hidden your face from us and made us waste away because of our sins.)

 

64:8 그러나 주님, 주님은 우리의 아버지이십니다 우리는 진흙이요, 주님은 우리를 빚으신 토기장이이십니다 우리 모두가 주님이 손수 지으신 피조물입니다

( Yet, O LORD, you are our Father. We are the clay, you are the potter; we are all the work of your hand.)

 

64:9 주님, 진노를 거두어 주십시오 우리의 죄악을 영원히 기억하지 말아 주십시오 주님, 보십시오 우리는 다 주님의 백성입니다

( Do not be angry beyond measure, O LORD; do not remember our sins forever. Oh, look upon us, we pray, for we are all your people.)

 

64:10 주님의 거룩한 성읍들이 광야가 되었습니다 시온은 광야가 되었고, 예루살렘은 황폐해졌습니다

( Your sacred cities have become a desert; even Zion is a desert, Jerusalem a desolation.)

 

64:11 우리의 조상이 주님을 찬송하던 성전, 우리의 거룩하고 영광스럽던 성전이 불에 탔고, 우리에게 즐거움을 주던 곳들이 모두 황폐해졌습니다

( Our holy and glorious temple, where our fathers praised you, has been burned with fire, and all that we treasured lies in ruins.)

 

64:12 주님, 형편이 이러한데도, 주님께서는 그저 가만히 계십니까? 그렇게 잠잠히 계셔서, 우리가 극심한 고통을 받도록 하시렵니까?

( After all this, O LORD, will you hold yourself back? Will you keep silent and punish us beyond measure?)

이사야 65장

 

65:1 "나는 내 백성의 기도에 응답할 준비를 하고 있었지만, 내 백성은 아직도 내게 요청하지 않았다 누구든지 나를 찾으면, 언제든지 만나려고 준비를 하고 있었지만, 아무도 나를 찾지 않았다 내 이름을 부르지도 않던 나라에게, 나는 '보아라, 나 여기 있다 보아라, 나 여기 있다' 하고 말하였다

( "I revealed myself to those who did not ask for me; I was found by those who did not seek me. To a nation that did not call on my name, I said, 'Here am I, here am I.')

 

65:2 제멋대로 가며 악한 길로 가는 반역하는 저 백성을 맞이하려고, 내가 종일 팔을 벌리고 있었다

( All day long I have held out my hands to an obstinate people, who walk in ways not good, pursuing their own imaginations--)

 

65:3 이 백성은 동산에서 우상에게 제사하며, 벽돌 제단 위에 분향하여, 내 앞에서 늘 나를 분노하게 만드는 백성이다

( a people who continually provoke me to my very face, offering sacrifices in gardens and burning incense on altars of brick;)

 

65:4 그들은 밤마다 무덤 사이로 다니면서, 죽은 자의 영들에게 물어 본다 돼지고기를 먹으며, 이방 제삿상에 올랐던 고기 국물을 마신다

( who sit among the graves and spend their nights keeping secret vigil; who eat the flesh of pigs, and whose pots hold broth of unclean meat;)

 

65:5 그러면서도 그들은 다른 사람들에게 '멀찍이 서 있어라, 우리는 거룩하니, 너희가 우리에게 닿아서는 안 된다 가까이 오지 말아라' 하고 말하는 백성이다 이런 자들을 내가 참지 못한다 그들을 향한 나의 분노는 꺼지지 않는 불처럼 타오른다

( who say, 'Keep away; don't come near me, for I am too sacred for you!' Such people are smoke in my nostrils, a fire that keeps burning all day.)

 

65:6 보아라, 이 모든 것이 내 앞에 기록되어 있으니, 내가 갚고야 말겠다 그들의 품에 갚을 때까지는, 내가 절대로 잠잠하지 않겠다"

( "See, it stands written before me: I will not keep silent but will pay back in full; I will pay it back into their laps--)

 

65:7 주님께서 말씀하신다 "산에서 분향하며 언덕에서 나를 모독한 자들의 죄악과, 그 조상의 죄악을 내가 모두 보응하겠다 내가 먼저 그 행위를 헤아리고, 그들의 품에 보응하겠다"

( both your sins and the sins of your fathers," says the LORD. "Because they burned sacrifices on the mountains and defied me on the hills, I will measure into their laps the full payment for their former deeds.")

 

65:8 주님께서 말씀하신다 "포도송이에 즙이 들어 있으므로, 사람들이, '그것을 없애지 말아라 그 속에 복이 들어 있다' 하고 말한다 나도 이와 같이 나의 종들을 생각하여, 그들을 다 멸하지는 않겠다

( This is what the LORD says: "As when juice is still found in a cluster of grapes and men say, 'Don't destroy it, there is yet some good in it,' so will I do in behalf of my servants; I will not destroy them all.)

 

65:9 내가 야곱으로부터 자손이 나오게 하며, 유다로부터 내 산을 유업으로 얻을 자들이 나오게 하겠다 내가 택한 사람들이 그것을 유업으로 얻으며, 내 종들이 거기에 살 것이다

( I will bring forth descendants from Jacob, and from Judah those who will possess my mountains; my chosen people will inherit them, and there will my servants live.)

 

65:10 샤론 평야는 나를 찾는 내 백성이 양 떼를 치는 목장이 되고, 아골 골짜기는 소들이 쉬는 곳이 될 것이다

( Sharon will become a pasture for flocks, and the Valley of Achor a resting place for herds, for my people who seek me.)

 

65:11 그러나 나 주를 떠나서, 내 거룩한 산을 잊고, 갓에게 상을 차려 놓으며, 므니에게 섞은 술을 가득히 부어 바치는 자들아!

( "But as for you who forsake the LORD and forget my holy mountain, who spread a table for Fortune and fill bowls of mixed wine for Destiny,)

 

65:12 내가 너희를 칼에 죽는 신세가 되게 하겠다 너희 모두가 살육하는 자에게 몸을 구부리게 될 것이다 이는 내가 불러도 너희가 대답하지 않으며, 내가 말하여도 너희가 듣지 않으며, 너희가 내 눈에 악하게 보이는 일만을 하며, 내가 좋아하지 않는 일만을 골라서 하기 때문이다"

( I will destine you for the sword, and you will all bend down for the slaughter; for I called but you did not answer, I spoke but you did not listen. You did evil in my sight and chose what displeases me.")

 

65:13 그러므로 주 하나님께서 말씀하신다 "보아라, 내 종들은 먹겠지만, 너희는 굶을 것이다 보아라, 내 종들은 마시겠지만, 너희는 목이 마를 것이다 보아라, 내 종들은 기뻐하겠지만, 너희는 수치를 당할 것이다

( Therefore this is what the Sovereign LORD says: "My servants will eat, but you will go hungry; my servants will drink, but you will go thirsty; my servants will rejoice, but you will be put to shame.)

 

65:14 보아라, 내 종들은 마음이 즐거워 노래를 부르겠지만, 너희는 마음이 아파 울부짖으며, 속이 상하여 통곡할 것이다

( My servants will sing out of the joy of their hearts, but you will cry out from anguish of heart and wail in brokenness of spirit.)

 

65:15 너희의 이름은, 내가 택한 백성이 저주할 거리로 남을 것이다" 내 주 하나님께서 너희를 죽게 하실 것이다 그러나 주님께서 주님의 종들은 다른 이름으로 부르실 것이다

( You will leave your name to my chosen ones as a curse; the Sovereign LORD will put you to death, but to his servants he will give another name.)

 

65:16 땅에서 복을 비는 사람은 진리이신 하나님을 두고 빌며, 땅에서 맹세하는 사람도 진리이신 하나님을 두고 맹세할 것이다 "지난날의 괴로운 일들을, 내가 다시 기억하지 않고, 지나간 과거를, 내가 다시 되돌아보지 않기 때문이다"

( Whoever invokes a blessing in the land will do so by the God of truth; he who takes an oath in the land will swear by the God of truth. For the past troubles will be forgotten and hidden from my eyes.)

 

65:17 "보아라, 내가 새 하늘과 새 땅을 창조할 것이니, 이전 것들은 기억되거나 마음에 떠오르거나 하지 않을 것이다

( "Behold, I will create new heavens and a new earth. The former things will not be remembered, nor will they come to mind.)

 

65:18 그러니 너희는 내가 창조하는 것을 길이길이 기뻐하고 즐거워하여라 보아라, 내가 예루살렘을 기쁨이 가득 찬 도성으로 창조하고, 그 주민을 행복을 누리는 백성으로 창조하겠다

( But be glad and rejoice forever in what I will create, for I will create Jerusalem to be a delight and its people a joy.)

 

65:19 예루살렘은 나의 기쁨이 되고, 거기에 사는 백성은 나의 즐거움이 될 것이니, 그 안에서 다시는 울음 소리와 울부짖는 소리가 들리지 않을 것이다"

( I will rejoice over Jerusalem and take delight in my people; the sound of weeping and of crying will be heard in it no more.)

 

65:20 거기에는 몇 날 살지 못하고 죽는 아이가 없을 것이며, 수명을 다 채우지 못하는 노인도 없을 것이다 백 살에 죽는 사람을 젊은이라고 할 것이며, 백 살을 채우지 못하는 사람을 저주받은 자로 여길 것이다

( "Never again will there be in it an infant who lives but a few days, or an old man who does not live out his years; he who dies at a hundred will be thought a mere youth; he who fails to reach a hundred will be considered accursed.)

 

65:21 집을 지은 사람들이 자기가 지은 집에 들어가 살 것이며, 포도나무를 심은 사람들이 자기가 기른 나무의 열매를 먹을 것이다

( They will build houses and dwell in them; they will plant vineyards and eat their fruit.)

 

65:22 자기가 지은 집에 다른 사람이 들어가 살지 않을 것이며, 자기가 심은 것을 다른 사람이 먹지 않을 것이다 "나의 백성은 나무처럼 오래 살겠고, 그들이 수고하여 번 것을 오래오래 누릴 것이다"

( No longer will they build houses and others live in them, or plant and others eat. For as the days of a tree, so will be the days of my people; my chosen ones will long enjoy the works of their hands.)

 

65:23 그들은 헛되이 수고하지 않으며, 그들이 낳은 자식은 재난을 당하지 않을 것이다 그들은 주님께 복 받은 자손이며, 그들의 자손도 그들과 같이 복을 받을 것이다

( They will not toil in vain or bear children doomed to misfortune; for they will be a people blessed by the LORD, they and their descendants with them.)

 

65:24 "그들이 부르기 전에 내가 응답하며, 그들이 말을 마치기도 전에 내가 들어주겠다

( Before they call I will answer; while they are still speaking I will hear.)

 

65:25 이리와 어린 양이 함께 풀을 먹으며, 사자가 소처럼 여물을 먹으며, 뱀이 흙을 먹이로 삼을 것이다 나의 거룩한 산에서는 서로 해치거나 상하게 하는 일이 전혀 없을 것이다" 주님의 말씀이시다

( The wolf and the lamb will feed together, and the lion will eat straw like the ox, but dust will be the serpent's food. They will neither harm nor destroy on all my holy mountain," says the LORD.)

이사야 66장

 

66:1 주님께서 이렇게 말씀하신다 "하늘은 나의 보좌요, 땅은 나의 발 받침대다 그러니 너희가 어떻게 내가 살 집을 짓겠으며, 어느 곳에다가 나를 쉬게 하겠느냐?"

( This is what the LORD says: "Heaven is my throne, and the earth is my footstool. Where is the house you will build for me? Where will my resting place be?)

 

66:2 주님의 말씀이시다 "나의 손이 이 모든 것을 지었으며, 이 모든 것이 나의 것이다 겸손한 사람, 회개하는 사람, 나를 경외하고 복종하는 사람, 바로 이런 사람을 내가 좋아한다"

( Has not my hand made all these things, and so they came into being?" declares the LORD. "This is the one I esteem: he who is humble and contrite in spirit, and trembles at my word.)

 

66:3 소를 죽여 제물로 바치는 자는 사람을 제물로 바치는 자와 같다 양을 잡아 희생제물로 바치는 자는 개의 목을 부러뜨리는 자와 같다 부어 드리는 제물을 바치는 자는 돼지의 피를 바치는 자와 같다 분향을 드리는 자는 우상을 찬미하는 자와 같다 "이러한 제사장들은 나의 뜻을 묻지 않고 제 뜻대로 한 자들이다 오히려 가증한 우상숭배를 즐겼다 가증한 우상들을 진정으로 좋아하였다

( But whoever sacrifices a bull is like one who kills a man, and whoever offers a lamb, like one who breaks a dog's neck; whoever makes a grain offering is like one who presents pig's blood, and whoever burns memorial incense, like one who worships an idol. They have chosen their own ways, and their souls delight in their abominations;)

 

66:4 그러기에, 나도 나의 뜻대로 그들을 혹독하게 다루어, 그들이 겁내는 것을 그들에게 들이닥치게 하겠다 내가 그렇게 불렀으나 그들이 응답하지 않았으며, 내가 그렇게 말하였으나 그들이 듣지 않았으며, 오히려 내가 보는 데서 악한 일을 하며, 내가 좋아하지 않는 일을 골라 하였기 때문이다"

( so I also will choose harsh treatment for them and will bring upon them what they dread. For when I called, no one answered, when I spoke, no one listened. They did evil in my sight and chose what displeases me.")

 

66:5 주님의 말씀을 떨리는 마음으로 받아들이는 사람들아, 너희는 그의 말씀을 들어라 "너희를 미워하는 백성은 너희가 나의 이름을 부른다고 해서 너희를 따돌리며, 이르기를 '주가 영광을 드러내어 너희들이 기뻐하는 모습을 우리가 한 번 볼 수 있게 하여 보아라' 하고 말하나, 그들은 수치를 당할 것이다"

( Hear the word of the LORD, you who tremble at his word: "Your brothers who hate you, and exclude you because of my name, have said, 'Let the LORD be glorified, that we may see your joy!' Yet they will be put to shame.)

 

66:6 성읍에서 요란한 소리가 나오며, 성전으로부터 소리가 들려 온다 이것은 바로 주님께서 주님의 대적들에게 보응하시는 주님의 목소리이다

( Hear that uproar from the city, hear that noise from the temple! It is the sound of the LORD repaying his enemies all they deserve.)

 

66:7 시온은 진통이 오기도 전에 해산한다 해산의 고통이 오기도 전에 아이를 낳는다

( "Before she goes into labor, she gives birth; before the pains come upon her, she delivers a son.)

 

66:8 누가 이런 일을 들은 적이 있느냐? 누가 이런 일을 본 적이 있느냐? 나라가 어찌 하루에 생길 수 있으며, 민족이 어찌 한 순간에 태어날 수 있겠느냐? 그러나 시온은 진통이 오자마자 아이들을 낳았다

( Who has ever heard of such a thing? Who has ever seen such things? Can a country be born in a day or a nation be brought forth in a moment? Yet no sooner is Zion in labor than she gives birth to her children.)

 

66:9 "바로 내가 아이를 모태에서 나오게 하거늘, 어찌 내가 아이를 낳게 할 수 없겠느냐?" 주님께서 말씀하신다 "아이를 낳게 하는 이가 나이거늘, 어찌 내가 아이를 못 나오게 막겠느냐?" 너의 하나님께서 말씀하신다

( Do I bring to the moment of birth and not give delivery?" says the LORD. "Do I close up the womb when I bring to delivery?" says your God.)

 

66:10 "예루살렘을 사랑하는 사람들아, 그 성읍과 함께 기뻐하고 즐거워하여라 예루살렘을 생각하며 슬퍼하던 사람들아, 너희는 모두 그 성읍과 함께 크게 기뻐하여라

( "Rejoice with Jerusalem and be glad for her, all you who love her; rejoice greatly with her, all you who mourn over her.)

 

66:11 이는, 너희로 하여금, 위로를 주는 예루살렘의 품에서 젖을 빨아 배부르게 하고, 또한 너희로 하여금, 풍요한 젖을 빨아들여 기쁨을 누리게 하려 함이다"

( For you will nurse and be satisfied at her comforting breasts; you will drink deeply and delight in her overflowing abundance.")

 

66:12 주님께서 이렇게 말씀하신다 "내가 예루살렘에 평화가 강물처럼 넘치게 하며, 뭇 나라의 부귀영화가 시냇물처럼 넘쳐서 흘러 오게 하겠다" 너희는 예루살렘의 젖을 빨며, 그 팔에 안기고, 그 무릎 위에서 귀여움을 받을 것이다

( For this is what the LORD says: "I will extend peace to her like a river, and the wealth of nations like a flooding stream; you will nurse and be carried on her arm and dandled on her knees.)

 

66:13 "어머니가 그 자식을 위로하듯이, 내가 너희를 위로할 것이니, 너희가 예루살렘에서 위로를 받을 것이다"

( As a mother comforts her child, so will I comfort you; and you will be comforted over Jerusalem.")

 

66:14 너희가 이것을 보고 마음이 기쁠 것이며 너희의 뼈들이 무성한 풀처럼 튼튼할 것이다 그리고 주님의 권능이 종들에게 알려지며, 주님께서 원수들에게 진노하실 것이다

( When you see this, your heart will rejoice and you will flourish like grass; the hand of the LORD will be made known to his servants, but his fury will be shown to his foes.)

 

66:15 보아라, 주님께서 화염에 싸여 오시며, 그의 병거는 마치 회오리바람처럼 올 것이다 그의 노여움이 진노로 바뀌고, 그의 질책이 타는 불길이 되어 보응하려 하신다

( See, the LORD is coming with fire, and his chariots are like a whirlwind; he will bring down his anger with fury, and his rebuke with flames of fire.)

 

66:16 주님께서 불로 온 세상을 심판하시며, 주님의 칼로 모든 사람을 심판하실 것이니, 주님께 죽음을 당할 자가 많을 것이다

( For with fire and with his sword the LORD will execute judgment upon all men, and many will be those slain by the LORD.)

 

66:17 "스스로를 거룩하게 구별하며, 몸을 깨끗하게 하고, 이교 제사를 바치는 동산으로 들어가서, 우상을 가운데 놓고 둘러서서 돼지고기와 부정한 짐승과 쥐고기를 먹는 자들은, 모두 다 망할 것이다" 주님의 말씀이시다

( "Those who consecrate and purify themselves to go into the gardens, following the one in the midst of those who eat the flesh of pigs and rats and other abominable things--they will meet their end together," declares the LORD.)

 

66:18 "내가 그들의 일과 생각을 알기에, 언어가 다른 모든 민족을 모을 때가 올 것이니, 그들이 와서 나의 영광을 볼 것이다

( "And I, because of their actions and their imaginations, am about to come and gather all nations and tongues, and they will come and see my glory.)

 

66:19 그리고 내가 그들 가운데 징표를 두어서, 살아 남은 자들을 스페인, 뿔, 활을 잘 쏘는 룻, 두발, 야완 민족들과 나의 명성을 들은 적도 없고, 나의 영광을 본 적도 없는 먼 섬들에게 보낼 것이며, 그들이 나의 영광을 모든 민족에게 알릴 것이다

( "I will set a sign among them, and I will send some of those who survive to the nations--to Tarshish, to the Libyans and Lydians (famous as archers), to Tubal and Greece, and to the distant islands that have not heard of my fame or seen my glory. They will proclaim my glory among the nations.)

 

66:20 마치 이스라엘 자손이 주의 성전에 바칠 예물을 깨끗한 그릇에 담아서 가져 오는 것과 같이, 그들이 또한 모든 민족들로부터 너희의 모든 동포를 나 주에게 바치는 선물로 말과 수레와 가마와 노새와 낙타에 태워서, 나의 거룩한 산 예루살렘으로 데려올 것이다" 주님께서 말씀하신다

( And they will bring all your brothers, from all the nations, to my holy mountain in Jerusalem as an offering to the LORD--on horses, in chariots and wagons, and on mules and camels," says the LORD. "They will bring them, as the Israelites bring their grain offerings, to the temple of the LORD in ceremonially clean vessels.)

 

66:21 "그리고 나도 그들 가운데서 제사장과 레위 사람으로 삼을 자를 택하여 세우겠다" 주님께서 말씀하신다

( And I will select some of them also to be priests and Levites," says the LORD.)

 

66:22 "내가 지을 새 하늘과 새 땅이 내 앞에 늘 있듯이, 너희 자손과 너희 이름이 늘 있을 것이다" 주님의 말씀이시다

( "As the new heavens and the new earth that I make will endure before me," declares the LORD, "so will your name and descendants endure.)

 

66:23 "매달 초하루와 안식일마다, 모든 사람이, 내 앞에 경배하려고 나올 것이다" 주님께서 말씀하신다

( From one New Moon to another and from one Sabbath to another, all mankind will come and bow down before me," says the LORD.)

 

66:24 "그들이 나가서 나를 거역한 자들의 시체들을 볼 것이다" 그들을 먹는 벌레가 죽지 않으며, 그들을 삼키는 불도 꺼지지 않을 것이니, 모든 사람이 그들을 보고 소름이 끼칠 것이다

( "And they will go out and look upon the dead bodies of those who rebelled against me; their worm will not die, nor will their fire be quenched, and they will be loathsome to all mankind.")
