이사야57-61: 심판을 온전케 하심

이사야 57장

 

57:1 의인이 망해도 그것을 마음에 두는 자가 없고, 경건한 사람이 이 세상을 떠나도 그 뜻을 깨닫는 자가 없다 의인이 세상을 떠나는 것은, 실상은 재앙을 피하여 가는 것이다

( The righteous perish, and no one ponders it in his heart; devout men are taken away, and no one understands that the righteous are taken away to be spared from evil.)

 

57:2 그는 평화로운 곳으로 들어가는 것이다 바른길을 걷는 사람은 자기 침상 위에 편히 누울 것이다

( Those who walk uprightly enter into peace; they find rest as they lie in death.)

 

57:3 너희 점쟁이의 자식들아, 간통하는 자와 창녀의 씨들아, 이리 가까이 오너라

( "But you--come here, you sons of a sorceress, you offspring of adulterers and prostitutes!)

 

57:4 너희가 누구를 조롱하는 거냐? 너희가 누구에게 입을 크게 벌리고 혀를 내미느냐? 너희는 거역하는 자의 자식, 거짓말쟁이의 종자가 아니냐?

( Whom are you mocking? At whom do you sneer and stick out your tongue? Are you not a brood of rebels, the offspring of liars?)

 

57:5 너희는 상수리나무 사이에서, 모든 푸른 나무 아래에서, 정욕에 불타 바람을 피우며, 골짜기 가운데서, 갈라진 바위 밑에서, 자식들을 죽여 제물로 바쳤다

( You burn with lust among the oaks and under every spreading tree; you sacrifice your children in the ravines and under the overhanging crags.)

 

57:6 너는 골짜기의 매끈한 돌들을 가져다가, 그것들을 신으로 떠받들었다 네가 그것들에게 술을 부어 바치고, 또 곡식제물을 바쳤다 "내가 너희의 그런 꼴을 보았으니, 내가 어찌 기뻐하겠느냐?"

( The idols among the smooth stones of the ravines are your portion; they, they are your lot. Yes, to them you have poured out drink offerings and offered grain offerings. In the light of these things, should I relent?)

 

57:7 너는 또 저 우뚝 솟은 높은 산 위에 올라가서, 거기에다 자리를 깔았다 거기에서 제사를 지냈다

( You have made your bed on a high and lofty hill; there you went up to offer your sacrifices.)

 

57:8 "너의 집 문과 문설주 뒤에는 우상을 세워 놓았다 너는 나를 버리고 떠나서, 옷을 다 벗고, 네가 좋아하는 자들과 함께 알몸으로 침상에 올라가 자리를 넓게 폈다 너는 그들과 함께 자려고 화대를 지불하고, 거기에서 정욕을 불태웠다

( Behind your doors and your doorposts you have put your pagan symbols. Forsaking me, you uncovered your bed, you climbed into it and opened it wide; you made a pact with those whose beds you love, and you looked on their nakedness.)

 

57:9 너는 또 몰렉에게 가려고, 몸에 기름을 바르고 향수를 듬뿍 뿌렸다 섬길 신들을 찾느라고 먼 나라에 사신들을 보내고, 스올에까지 사절을 내려 보냈다

( You went to Molech with olive oil and increased your perfumes. You sent your ambassadors far away; you descended to the grave itself!)

 

57:10 신들을 찾아 나선 여행길이 고되어서 지쳤으면서도, 너는 '헛수고'라고 말하지 않는구나 오히려 너는 우상들이 너에게 새 힘을 주어서 지치지 않았다고 생각하는구나

( You were wearied by all your ways, but you would not say, 'It is hopeless.' You found renewal of your strength, and so you did not faint.)

 

57:11 네가 그처럼 무서워하는 신들이 누구냐? 도대체 그 신들이 얼마나 무서우면, 나를 속이면서까지, 나를 까마득히 잊어가면서까지, 그 신들에게 매달리느냐? 내가 오랫동안 침묵하고 있었다고, 네가 나를 경외하지 않는 것이냐?

( "Whom have you so dreaded and feared that you have been false to me, and have neither remembered me nor pondered this in your hearts? Is it not because I have long been silent that you do not fear me?)

 

57:12 너는 네가 하는 일이 다 옳다고 생각하겠지만, 네가 한 일을 내가 다 폭로할 것이니, 너의 우상들이 너를 돕지 못할 것이다

( I will expose your righteousness and your works, and they will not benefit you.)

 

57:13 너의 우상들에게 살려 달라고 부르짖어 보아라 오히려 바람이 우상들을 날려 버릴 것이며, 입김이 그것들을 쓸어 버릴 것이다 그러나 나에게로 피하여 오는 사람은, 땅을 차지하여 거기에서 살고, 나의 거룩한 성전에서 나를 예배할 것이다"

( When you cry out for help, let your collection of idols save you! The wind will carry all of them off, a mere breath will blow them away. But the man who makes me his refuge will inherit the land and possess my holy mountain.")

 

57:14 "내가 말한다 땅을 돋우고 돋우어서 길을 내어라 나의 백성이 걷는 길에 거치는 것이 없게 하여라"

( And it will be said: "Build up, build up, prepare the road! Remove the obstacles out of the way of my people.")

 

57:15 지극히 높으신 분, 영원히 살아 계시며, 거룩한 이름을 가지신 분께서, 이렇게 말씀하신다 "내가 비록 높고 거룩한 곳에 있으나, 겸손한 사람과도 함께 있고, 잘못을 뉘우치고 회개하는 사람과도 함께 있다 겸손한 사람과 함께 있으면서 그들에게 용기를 북돋우어 주고, 회개하는 사람과 같이 있으면서 그들의 상한 마음을 아물게 하여 준다

( For this is what the high and lofty One says--he who lives forever, whose name is holy: "I live in a high and holy place, but also with him who is contrite and lowly in spirit, to revive the spirit of the lowly and to revive the heart of the contrite.)

 

57:16 나는 사람들과 끝없이 다투지만은 않는다 한없이 분을 품지도 않는다 사람에게 생명을 준 것이 나인데, 내가 그들과 끝없이 다투고 한없이 분을 품고 있으면, 사람이 어찌 견디겠느냐?

( I will not accuse forever, nor will I always be angry, for then the spirit of man would grow faint before me--the breath of man that I have created.)

 

57:17 사람의 탐욕스러운 죄 때문에 내가 노하여 그들을 쳤고, 내가 노하여 나의 얼굴을 가렸다 그래도 그들은 끝내 나를 거역하고 제 마음에 내키는 길로 가버렸다

( I was enraged by his sinful greed; I punished him, and hid my face in anger, yet he kept on in his willful ways.)

 

57:18 사람의 소행이 어떠한지, 내가 보아서 다 알고 있다 그러나 나는 그들을 고쳐 주겠다 그들을 인도하여 주며, 도와주겠다 슬퍼하는 사람들을 위로하여 주겠다

( I have seen his ways, but I will heal him; I will guide him and restore comfort to him,)

 

57:19 이제 내가 말로 평화를 창조한다 먼 곳에 있는 사람과 가까운 곳에 있는 사람에게 평화, 평화가 있어라" 주님께서 약속하신다 "내가 너를 고쳐 주마"

( creating praise on the lips of the mourners in Israel. Peace, peace, to those far and near," says the LORD. "And I will heal them.")

 

57:20 그러나 악인들은 요동하는 바다와 같아서 고요히 쉬지 못하니, 성난 바다는 진흙과 더러운 것을 솟아 올릴 뿐이다

( But the wicked are like the tossing sea, which cannot rest, whose waves cast up mire and mud.)

 

57:21 나의 하나님께서 말씀하신다 "악인들에게는 평화가 없다"

( "There is no peace," says my God, "for the wicked.")

이사야 58장

 

58:1 "목소리를 크게 내어 힘껏 외쳐라 주저하지 말아라 너의 목소리를 나팔 소리처럼 높여서 나의 백성에게 그들의 허물을 알리고, 야곱의 집에 그들의 죄를 알려라

( "Shout it aloud, do not hold back. Raise your voice like a trumpet. Declare to my people their rebellion and to the house of Jacob their sins.)

 

58:2 그들이 마치 공의를 행하고 하나님의 규례를 저버리지 않는 민족이나 되듯이, 날마다 나를 찾으며, 나의 길을 알기를 좋아한다 그들은 무엇이 공의로운 판단인가를 나에게 묻고, 하나님께 가까이 나가기를 즐거워한다고 한다"

( For day after day they seek me out; they seem eager to know my ways, as if they were a nation that does what is right and has not forsaken the commands of its God. They ask me for just decisions and seem eager for God to come near them.)

 

58:3 주님께서 보시지도 않는데, 우리가 무엇 때문에 금식을 합니까? 주님께서 알아 주시지도 않는데, 우리가 무엇 때문에 고행을 하겠습니까? 너희들이 금식하는 날, 너희 자신의 향락만을 찾고, 일꾼들에게는 무리하게 일을 시킨다

( 'Why have we fasted,' they say, 'and you have not seen it? Why have we humbled ourselves, and you have not noticed?' "Yet on the day of your fasting, you do as you please and exploit all your workers.)

 

58:4 너희가 다투고 싸우면서, 금식을 하는구나 이렇게 못된 주먹질이나 하려고 금식을 하느냐? 너희의 목소리를 저 높은 곳에 들리게 할 생각이 있다면, 오늘과 같은 이런 금식을 해서는 안 된다

( Your fasting ends in quarreling and strife, and in striking each other with wicked fists. You cannot fast as you do today and expect your voice to be heard on high.)

 

58:5 "이것이 어찌 내가 기뻐하는 금식이겠느냐? 이것이 어찌 사람이 통회하며 괴로워하는 날이 되겠느냐?" 머리를 갈대처럼 숙이고 굵은 베와 재를 깔고 앉는다고 해서 어찌 이것을 금식이라고 하겠으며, 주님께서 너희를 기쁘게 반기실 날이라고 할 수 있겠느냐?

( Is this the kind of fast I have chosen, only a day for a man to humble himself? Is it only for bowing one's head like a reed and for lying on sackcloth and ashes? Is that what you call a fast, a day acceptable to the LORD?)

 

58:6 "내가 기뻐하는 금식은, 부당한 결박을 풀어 주는 것, 멍에의 줄을 끌러 주는 것, 압제받는 사람을 놓아 주는 것, 모든 멍에를 꺾어 버리는 것, 바로 이런 것들이 아니냐?"

( "Is not this the kind of fasting I have chosen: to loose the chains of injustice and untie the cords of the yoke, to set the oppressed free and break every yoke?)

 

58:7 또한 굶주린 사람에게 너의 먹거리를 나누어 주는 것, 떠도는 불쌍한 사람을 집에 맞아들이는 것이 아니겠느냐? 헐벗은 사람을 보았을 때에 그에게 옷을 입혀 주는 것, 너의 골육을 피하여 숨지 않는 것이 아니겠느냐?

( Is it not to share your food with the hungry and to provide the poor wanderer with shelter--when you see the naked, to clothe him, and not to turn away from your own flesh and blood?)

 

58:8 그리하면 네 빛이 새벽 햇살처럼 비칠 것이며, 네 상처가 빨리 나을 것이다 네 의를 드러내실 분이 네 앞에 가실 것이며, 주님의 영광이 네 뒤에서 호위할 것이다

( Then your light will break forth like the dawn, and your healing will quickly appear; then your righteousness will go before you, and the glory of the LORD will be your rear guard.)

 

58:9 그 때에 네가 주님을 부르면 주님께서 응답하실 것이다 네가 부르짖을 때에, 주님께서 '내가 여기에 있다' 하고 대답하실 것이다 네가 너의 나라에서 무거운 멍에와 온갖 폭력과 폭언을 없애 버린다면,

( Then you will call, and the LORD will answer; you will cry for help, and he will say: Here am I. "If you do away with the yoke of oppression, with the pointing finger and malicious talk,)

 

58:10 네가 너의 정성을 굶주린 사람에게 쏟으며, 불쌍한 자의 소원을 충족시켜 주면, 너의 빛이 어둠 가운데서 나타나며, 캄캄한 밤이 오히려 대낮같이 될 것이다

( and if you spend yourselves in behalf of the hungry and satisfy the needs of the oppressed, then your light will rise in the darkness, and your night will become like the noonday.)

 

58:11 주님께서 너를 늘 인도하시고, 메마른 곳에서도 너의 영혼을 충족시켜 주시며, 너의 뼈마디에 원기를 주실 것이다 너는 마치 물 댄 동산처럼 되고, 물이 끊어지지 않는 샘처럼 될 것이다

( The LORD will guide you always; he will satisfy your needs in a sun-scorched land and will strengthen your frame. You will be like a well-watered garden, like a spring whose waters never fail.)

 

58:12 너의 백성이 해묵은 폐허에서 성읍을 재건하며, 대대로 버려 두었던 기초를 다시 쌓을 것이다 사람들은 너를 두고 "갈라진 벽을 고친 왕!" "길거리를 고쳐 사람이 살 수 있도록 한 왕!" 이라고 부를 것이다

( Your people will rebuild the ancient ruins and will raise up the age-old foundations; you will be called Repairer of Broken Walls, Restorer of Streets with Dwellings.)

 

58:13 "유다야, 네가 안식일에 발길을 삼가 여행을 하지 않으며, 나의 거룩한 날에 너의 쾌락을 일삼지 않으며, 안식일을 '즐거운 날'이라고 부르며, 주의 거룩한 날을 '존귀한 날'이라고 한다면, 그리고 이 날을 귀하게 여겨서, 네 멋대로 하지 않으며, 너 자신의 쾌락을 찾지 않으며, 함부로 말하지 않으면,

( "If you keep your feet from breaking the Sabbath and from doing as you please on my holy day, if you call the Sabbath a delight and the LORD'S holy day honorable, and if you honor it by not going your own way and not doing as you please or speaking idle words,)

 

58:14 그 때에 너는 주 안에서 즐거움을 얻을 것이다 내가 너를 땅에서 영화롭게 하고, 너의 조상 야곱의 유산을 먹고 살도록 하겠다" 이것은 주님께서 친히 하신 말씀이다

( then you will find your joy in the LORD, and I will cause you to ride on the heights of the land and to feast on the inheritance of your father Jacob." The mouth of the LORD has spoken.)

이사야 59장

 

59:1 주님의 손이 짧아서 구원하지 못하시는 것도 아니고, 주님의 귀가 어두워서 듣지 못하시는 것도 아니다

( Surely the arm of the LORD is not too short to save, nor his ear too dull to hear.)

 

59:2 오직, 너희 죄악이 너희와 너희의 하나님 사이를 갈라놓았고, 너희의 죄 때문에 주님께서 너희에게서 얼굴을 돌리셔서, 너희의 말을 듣지 않으실 뿐이다

( But your iniquities have separated you from your God; your sins have hidden his face from you, so that he will not hear.)

 

59:3 너희의 손이 피로 더러워졌으며, 너희의 손가락이 죄악으로 더러워졌고, 너희의 입술이 거짓말을 하며, 너희의 혀가 악독한 말을 하기 때문이다

( For your hands are stained with blood, your fingers with guilt. Your lips have spoken lies, and your tongue mutters wicked things.)

 

59:4 공의로써 소송을 제기하는 사람이 아무도 없고, 진실되게 재판하는 사람이 하나도 없다 헛된 것을 믿고 거짓을 말하며, 해로운 생각을 품고서, 죄를 짓는다

( No one calls for justice; no one pleads his case with integrity. They rely on empty arguments and speak lies; they conceive trouble and give birth to evil.)

 

59:5 그들은 독사의 알을 품고, 거미줄로 옷감을 짠다 그 알을 먹는 사람은 죽을 것이요, 그 알이 밟혀서 터지면, 독사가 나올 것이다

( They hatch the eggs of vipers and spin a spider's web. Whoever eats their eggs will die, and when one is broken, an adder is hatched.)

 

59:6 그들이 거미줄로 짠 것은 옷이 되지 못하고, 그들이 만든 것으로는 아무도 몸을 덮지 못한다 그들이 하는 일이란 죄악을 저지르는 것뿐이며, 그들의 손에는 폭행만 있다

( Their cobwebs are useless for clothing; they cannot cover themselves with what they make. Their deeds are evil deeds, and acts of violence are in their hands.)

 

59:7 그들의 발은 나쁜 일을 하는 데 빠르고, 죄 없는 사람을 죽이는 일에 신속하다 그들의 생각이란 죄악으로 가득 차 있을 뿐이며, 그들이 가는 길에는 황폐와 파멸이 있을 뿐이다

( Their feet rush into sin; they are swift to shed innocent blood. Their thoughts are evil thoughts; ruin and destruction mark their ways.)

 

59:8 그들은 안전한 길을 알지 못하며 그들이 가는 길에는 공평이 없다 스스로 길을 굽게 만드니, 그 길을 걷는 모든 사람에게 안전이 없다

( The way of peace they do not know; there is no justice in their paths. They have turned them into crooked roads; no one who walks in them will know peace.)

 

59:9 그러므로 공평이 우리에게서 멀고, 공의가 우리에게 미치지 못한다 우리가 빛을 바라나, 어둠뿐이며, 밝음을 바라나, 암흑 속을 걸을 뿐이다

( So justice is far from us, and righteousness does not reach us. We look for light, but all is darkness; for brightness, but we walk in deep shadows.)

 

59:10 우리는 앞을 못 보는 사람처럼 담을 더듬고, 눈먼 사람처럼 더듬고 다닌다 대낮에도 우리가 밤길을 걸을 때처럼 넘어지니, 몸이 건강하다고 하나 죽은 사람과 다를 바 없다

( Like the blind we grope along the wall, feeling our way like men without eyes. At midday we stumble as if it were twilight; among the strong, we are like the dead.)

 

59:11 우리 모두가 곰처럼 부르짖고, 비둘기처럼 슬피 울며, 공평을 바라지만 공평이 없고, 구원을 바라지만 그 구원이 우리에게서 멀다

( We all growl like bears; we moan mournfully like doves. We look for justice, but find none; for deliverance, but it is far away.)

 

59:12 주님, 주님께 지은 우리의 죄가 매우 많습니다 우리의 죄가 우리를 고발합니다 우리가 지은 죄를 우리가 발뺌할 수 없으며, 우리의 죄를 우리가 잘 압니다

( For our offenses are many in your sight, and our sins testify against us. Our offenses are ever with us, and we acknowledge our iniquities:)

 

59:13 우리가 죄를 짓고 주님을 부정하였습니다 우리의 하나님께 등을 돌리고 물러가서, 포학한 말과 거역하는 말을 하면서, 거짓말을 마음에 품었고, 또 실제로 거짓말을 하였습니다

( rebellion and treachery against the LORD, turning our backs on our God, fomenting oppression and revolt, uttering lies our hearts have conceived.)

 

59:14 그래서 공평이 뒤로 밀려나고 공의가 멀어졌으며, 성실이 땅바닥에 떨어졌고, 정직이 발붙이지 못합니다

( So justice is driven back, and righteousness stands at a distance; truth has stumbled in the streets, honesty cannot enter.)

 

59:15 성실이 사라지니, 악에서 떠난 자가 오히려 약탈을 당합니다 주님께서 이것을 보셨다 공평이 없는 것을 보시고 슬퍼하셨다

( Truth is nowhere to be found, and whoever shuns evil becomes a prey. The LORD looked and was displeased that there was no justice.)

 

59:16 압박받는 사람을 도우려는 사람이 없음을 보시고, 중재자가 없음을 보시고, 주님께서는 놀라셨다 주님께서는 직접, 억압받는 사람들을 구원하시려고, 반드시 공의를 이루시려고, 당신의 능력을 친히 발휘하실 것이다

( He saw that there was no one, he was appalled that there was no one to intervene; so his own arm worked salvation for him, and his own righteousness sustained him.)

 

59:17 주님께서 공의를 갑옷으로 입으시고, 구원의 투구를 머리에 쓰셨다 응징을 속옷으로 입으셨다 열심을 겉옷으로 입으셨다

( He put on righteousness as his breastplate, and the helmet of salvation on his head; he put on the garments of vengeance and wrapped himself in zeal as in a cloak.)

 

59:18 그들이 한 대로 갚으신다 적들에게 진노하시며, 원수들에게 보복하신다 섬들에게도 보복하신다

( According to what they have done, so will he repay wrath to his enemies and retribution to his foes; he will repay the islands their due.)

 

59:19 해 지는 곳에서 주님의 이름을 두려워하며, 해 뜨는 곳에서 주님의 영광을 두려워할 것이다 원수가 강물처럼 몰려오겠으나, 주님의 영이 그들을 물리치실 것이다

( From the west, men will fear the name of the LORD, and from the rising of the sun, they will revere his glory. For he will come like a pent-up flood that the breath of the LORD drives along.)

 

59:20 주님께서 시온에 속량자로 오시고, 야곱의 자손 가운데서 죄를 회개한 사람들에게 오신다 주님께서 하신 말씀이다

( "The Redeemer will come to Zion, to those in Jacob who repent of their sins," declares the LORD.)

 

59:21 주님께서 말씀하신다 "내가 그들과 맺은 나의 언약은 이러하다 너의 위에 있는 나의 영과 너의 입에 담긴 나의 말이, 이제부터 영원토록, 너의 입과 너의 자손의 입과 또 그 자손의 자손의 입에서 떠나지 않을 것이다" 주님께서 하신 말씀이다

( "As for me, this is my covenant with them," says the LORD. "My Spirit, who is on you, and my words that I have put in your mouth will not depart from your mouth, or from the mouths of your children, or from the mouths of their descendants from this time on and forever," says the LORD.)

이사야 60장

 

60:1 예루살렘아, 일어나서 빛을 비추어라 구원의 빛이 너에게 비치었으며, 주님의 영광이 아침 해처럼 너의 위에 떠올랐다

( "Arise, shine, for your light has come, and the glory of the LORD rises upon you.)

 

60:2 어둠이 땅을 덮으며, 짙은 어둠이 민족들을 덮을 것이다 그러나 오직 너의 위에는 주님께서 아침 해처럼 떠오르시며, 그의 영광이 너의 위에 나타날 것이다

( See, darkness covers the earth and thick darkness is over the peoples, but the LORD rises upon you and his glory appears over you.)

 

60:3 이방 나라들이 너의 빛을 보고 찾아오고, 뭇 왕이 떠오르는 너의 광명을 보고, 너에게로 올 것이다

( Nations will come to your light, and kings to the brightness of your dawn.)

 

60:4 눈을 들어 사방을 둘러보아라 그들이 모두 모여 너에게로 오고 있다 너의 아들들이 먼 곳으로부터 오며, 너의 딸들이 팔에 안겨서 올 것이다

( "Lift up your eyes and look about you: All assemble and come to you; your sons come from afar, and your daughters are carried on the arm.)

 

60:5 그 때에 이것을 보는 너의 얼굴에는 기쁨이 넘치고, 흥분한 너의 가슴은 설레고, 기쁨에 벅찬 가슴은 터질 듯 할 것이다 풍부한 재물이 뱃길로 너에게로 오며, 이방 나라의 재산이 너에게로 들어올 것이다

( Then you will look and be radiant, your heart will throb and swell with joy; the wealth on the seas will be brought to you, to you the riches of the nations will come.)

 

60:6 많은 낙타들이 너의 땅을 덮을 것이며, 미디안과 에바의 어린 낙타가 너의 땅을 뒤덮을 것이다 스바의 모든 사람이 금과 유향을 가지고 와서, 주님께서 하신 일을 찬양할 것이다

( Herds of camels will cover your land, young camels of Midian and Ephah. And all from Sheba will come, bearing gold and incense and proclaiming the praise of the LORD.)

 

60:7 게달의 모든 양 떼가 다 너에게로 모여들며, 네가 느바욧의 숫양들을 제물로 쓸 것이다 "내가 내 성전을 이전보다 더욱 영화롭게 할 때에, 이것들이 내 제단 위에 합당한 제물로 오를 것이다"

( All Kedar's flocks will be gathered to you, the rams of Nebaioth will serve you; they will be accepted as offerings on my altar, and I will adorn my glorious temple.)

 

60:8 저기, 구름 떼처럼 몰려오는 저 사람들이 누구냐? 제 보금자리로 돌아오는 비둘기처럼 날아오는 저 사람들이 누구냐?

( "Who are these that fly along like clouds, like doves to their nests?)

 

60:9 너의 자녀들이 온다 섬들이 나를 사모하며, 다시스의 배들이 맨 먼저 먼 곳에 있는 너의 자녀들을 데리고 온다 그들이, 주 너의 하나님의 이름을 높이려고, 이스라엘의 거룩하신 하나님께 드리려고, 은과 금을 함께 싣고 온다 주님께서 너를 영화롭게 하셨기 때문이다

( Surely the islands look to me; in the lead are the ships of Tarshish, bringing your sons from afar, with their silver and gold, to the honor of the LORD your God, the Holy One of Israel, for he has endowed you with splendor.)

 

60:10 이방 자손이 너의 성벽을 쌓으며, 그들의 왕들이 너를 섬길 것이다 "비록 내가 진노하여 너를 쳤으나, 이제 내가 은혜를 베풀어서 너를 불쌍히 여기겠다"

( "Foreigners will rebuild your walls, and their kings will serve you. Though in anger I struck you, in favor I will show you compassion.)

 

60:11 너의 성문은 언제나 열려 있어서, 밤낮으로 닫히지 않을 것이다 이방 나라의 재물이 이 문을 지나 너에게로 오며, 이방 왕들이 사로잡혀서 너에게로 끌려올 것이다

( Your gates will always stand open, they will never be shut, day or night, so that men may bring you the wealth of the nations--their kings led in triumphal procession.)

 

60:12 너를 섬기지 않는 민족과 나라는 망하고, 그런 이방 나라들은 반드시 황폐해질 것이다

( For the nation or kingdom that will not serve you will perish; it will be utterly ruined.)

 

60:13 "레바논의 자랑인 잣나무와 소나무와 회양목이 함께 너에게로 올 것이다 그 나무가 나의 성전 터를 아름답게 꾸밀 것이니, 이렇게 하여서 내가 나의 발 둘 곳을 영화롭게 하겠다"

( "The glory of Lebanon will come to you, the pine, the fir and the cypress together, to adorn the place of my sanctuary; and I will glorify the place of my feet.)

 

60:14 너를 괴롭히던 자들의 자손이 몸을 굽히고 너에게 나아오며, 너를 멸시하던 자들이 모두 너의 발 아래에 엎드려서, 너를 '주님의 도성'이라고 부르고, '이스라엘의 거룩하신 분의 시온' 이라고 부를 것이다

( The sons of your oppressors will come bowing before you; all who despise you will bow down at your feet and will call you the City of the LORD, Zion of the Holy One of Israel.)

 

60:15 "비록 네가 전에는 버림을 받고 미움을 받아서, 너의 옆으로 오는 사람이 없었으나, 이제는 내가 길이길이 너를 높이고, 너를 오고오는 세대 사람들에게 기쁨이 되게 하겠다

( "Although you have been forsaken and hated, with no one traveling through, I will make you the everlasting pride and the joy of all generations.)

 

60:16 네가 이방 나라들의 젖을 빨며, 뭇 왕의 젖을 빨아먹을 것이니, 이것으로써, 너는 나 주가 너의 구원자이며, 너의 속량자요, 야곱의 전능자임을 알게 될 것이다"

( You will drink the milk of nations and be nursed at royal breasts. Then you will know that I, the LORD, am your Savior, your Redeemer, the Mighty One of Jacob.)

 

60:17 내가 놋쇠 대신 금을 가져 오며, 철 대신 은을 가져 오며, 나무 대신 놋쇠를 가져 오며, 돌 대신 철을 가져 오겠다 "내가 평화를 너의 감독자로 세우며, 의를 너의 지배자로 세우겠다"

( Instead of bronze I will bring you gold, and silver in place of iron. Instead of wood I will bring you bronze, and iron in place of stones. I will make peace your governor and righteousness your ruler.)

 

60:18 다시는 너의 땅에서 폭행 소문이 들려 오지 않을 것이며, 너의 국경 안에서는 황폐와 파괴 소문이 들려오지 않을 것이다 너는 너의 성벽을 '구원'이라고 부르고, 너의 성문을 '찬송'이라고 부를 것이다

( No longer will violence be heard in your land, nor ruin or destruction within your borders, but you will call your walls Salvation and your gates Praise.)

 

60:19 해는 더 이상 낮을 밝히는 빛이 아니며, 달도 더 이상 밤을 밝히는 빛이 아닐 것이다 오직 주님께서 너의 영원한 빛이 되시고, 하나님께서 너의 영광이 되실 것이다

( The sun will no more be your light by day, nor will the brightness of the moon shine on you, for the LORD will be your everlasting light, and your God will be your glory.)

 

60:20 주님께서 몸소 너의 영원한 빛이 되시며, 네가 곡하는 날도 끝이 날 것이므로, 다시는 너의 해가 지지 않으며, 다시는 너의 달이 이지러지지 않을 것이다

( Your sun will never set again, and your moon will wane no more; the LORD will be your everlasting light, and your days of sorrow will end.)

 

60:21 너의 백성이 모두 시민권을 얻고, 땅을 영원히 차지할 것이다 그들은 주님께서 심으신 나무다 주님의 영광을 나타내라고 만든 주님의 작품이다

( Then will all your people be righteous and they will possess the land forever. They are the shoot I have planted, the work of my hands, for the display of my splendor.)

 

60:22 그들 가운데서 가장 작은 이라도 한 족속의 조상이 될 것이며, 가장 약한 이가 강한 나라를 이룰 것이다 "때가 되면, 나 주가 이 일을 지체없이 이루겠다"

( The least of you will become a thousand, the smallest a mighty nation. I am the LORD; in its time I will do this swiftly.")

이사야 61장

 

61:1 주님께서 나에게 기름을 부으시니, 주 하나님의 영이 나에게 임하셨다 주님께서 나를 보내셔서, 가난한 사람들에게 기쁜 소식을 전하고, 상한 마음을 싸매어 주고, 포로에게 자유를 선포하고, 갇힌 사람에게 석방을 선언하고,

( The Spirit of the Sovereign LORD is on me, because the LORD has anointed me to preach good news to the poor. He has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim freedom for the captives and release from darkness for the prisoners,)

 

61:2 주님의 은혜의 해와 우리 하나님의 보복의 날을 선언하고, 모든 슬퍼하는 사람들을 위로하게 하셨다

( to proclaim the year of the LORD'S favor and the day of vengeance of our God, to comfort all who mourn,)

 

61:3 시온에서 슬퍼하는 사람들에게 재 대신에 화관을 씌워 주시며, 슬픔 대신에 기쁨의 기름을 발라 주시며, 괴로운 마음 대신에 찬송이 마음에 가득 차게 하셨다 그리하여 사람들은 그들을 가리켜, 의의 나무, 주님께서 스스로 영광을 나타내시려고 손수 심으신 나무라고 부른다

( and provide for those who grieve in Zion--to bestow on them a crown of beauty instead of ashes, the oil of gladness instead of mourning, and a garment of praise instead of a spirit of despair. They will be called oaks of righteousness, a planting of the LORD for the display of his splendor.)

 

61:4 그들은 오래 전에 황폐해진 곳을 쌓으며, 오랫동안 무너져 있던 곳도 세울 것이다 황폐한 성읍들을 새로 세우며, 대대로 무너진 채로 버려져 있던 곳을 다시 세울 것이다

( They will rebuild the ancient ruins and restore the places long devastated; they will renew the ruined cities that have been devastated for generations.)

 

61:5 낯선 사람들이 나서서 너희 양 떼를 먹이며, 다른 나라 사람들이 와서 너희의 농부와 포도원지기가 될 것이다

( Aliens will shepherd your flocks; foreigners will work your fields and vineyards.)

 

61:6 사람들은 너희를 '주님의 제사장'이라고 부를 것이며, '우리 하나님의 봉사자' 라고 일컬을 것이다 열방의 재물이 너희 것이 되어 너희가 마음껏 쓸 것이고, 그들의 부귀영화가 바로 너의 것임을 너희가 자랑할 것이다

( And you will be called priests of the LORD, you will be named ministers of our God. You will feed on the wealth of nations, and in their riches you will boast.)

 

61:7 너희가 받은 수치를 갑절이나 보상받으며, 부끄러움을 당한 대가로 받은 몫을 기뻐할 것이다 그러므로 너희가 땅에서 갑절의 상속을 받으며, 영원한 기쁨을 차지할 것이다

( Instead of their shame my people will receive a double portion, and instead of disgrace they will rejoice in their inheritance; and so they will inherit a double portion in their land, and everlasting joy will be theirs.)

 

61:8 "나 주는 공평을 사랑하고, 불의와 약탈을 미워한다 나는 그들의 수고를 성실히 보상하여 주고, 그들과 영원한 언약을 세우겠다

( "For I, the LORD, love justice; I hate robbery and iniquity. In my faithfulness I will reward them and make an everlasting covenant with them.)

 

61:9 그들의 자손이 열방에 알려지며, 그들의 자손이 만민 가운데 알려질 것이다 그들을 보는 사람마다, 그들이 나 주의 복을 받은 자손임을 인정할 것이다"

( Their descendants will be known among the nations and their offspring among the peoples. All who see them will acknowledge that they are a people the LORD has blessed.")

 

61:10 신랑에게 제사장의 관을 씌우듯이, 신부를 패물로 단장시키듯이, 주님께서 나에게 구원의 옷을 입혀 주시고, 의의 겉옷으로 둘러 주셨으니, 내가 주님 안에서 크게 기뻐하며, 내 영혼이 하나님 안에서 즐거워할 것이다

( I delight greatly in the LORD; my soul rejoices in my God. For he has clothed me with garments of salvation and arrayed me in a robe of righteousness, as a bridegroom adorns his head like a priest, and as a bride adorns herself with her jewels.)

 

61:11 땅이 싹을 내며, 동산이 거기에 뿌려진 것을 움트게 하듯이, 주 하나님께서도 모든 나라 앞에서 의와 찬송을 샘 솟듯이 솟아나게 하실 것이다

( For as the soil makes the sprout come up and a garden causes seeds to grow, so the Sovereign LORD will make righteousness and praise spring up before all nations.)
