에스겔 37장

 

마른 뼈들이 살아나는 환상

 

37:1 주님께서 권능으로 나를 사로잡으셨다 주님의 영이 나를 데리고 나가서, 골짜기의 한가운데 나를 내려 놓으셨다 그런데 그 곳에는 뼈들이 가득히 있었다

( The hand of the LORD was upon me, and he brought me out by the Spirit of the LORD and set me in the middle of a valley; it was full of bones.)

 

37:2 그가 나를 데리고 그 뼈들이 널려 있는 사방으로 다니게 하셨다 그 골짜기의 바닥에 뼈가 대단히 많았다 보니, 그것들은 아주 말라 있었다

( He led me back and forth among them, and I saw a great many bones on the floor of the valley, bones that were very dry.)

 

37:3 그가 내게 물으셨다 "사람아, 이 뼈들이 살아날 수 있겠느냐?" 내가 대답하였다 "주 하나님, 주님께서는 아십니다"

( He asked me, "Son of man, can these bones live?" I said, "O Sovereign LORD, you alone know.")

 

37:4 그가 내게 말씀하셨다 "너는 이 뼈들에게 대언하여라 너는 그것들에게 전하여라 '너희 마른 뼈들아, 너희는 나 주의 말을 들어라

( Then he said to me, "Prophesy to these bones and say to them, 'Dry bones, hear the word of the LORD!)

 

37:5 나 주 하나님이 이 뼈들에게 말한다 내가 너희 속에 생기를 불어넣어, 너희가 다시 살아나게 하겠다

( This is what the Sovereign LORD says to these bones: I will make breath enter you, and you will come to life.)

 

37:6 내가 너희에게 힘줄이 뻗치게 하고, 또 너희에게 살을 입히고, 또 너희를 살갗으로 덮고, 너희 속에 생기를 불어넣어, 너희가 다시 살아나게 하겠다 그 때에야 비로소 너희는, 내가 주인 줄 알게 될 것이다'"

( I will attach tendons to you and make flesh come upon you and cover you with skin; I will put breath in you, and you will come to life. Then you will know that I am the LORD.'")

 

37:7 그래서 나는 명을 받은 대로 대언하였다 내가 대언을 할 때에 무슨 소리가 났다 보니, 그것은 뼈들이 서로 이어지는 요란한 소리였다

( So I prophesied as I was commanded. And as I was prophesying, there was a noise, a rattling sound, and the bones came together, bone to bone.)

 

37:8 내가 바라보고 있으니, 그 뼈들 위에 힘줄이 뻗치고, 살이 오르고, 살 위로 살갗이 덮였다 그러나 그들 속에 생기가 없었다

( I looked, and tendons and flesh appeared on them and skin covered them, but there was no breath in them.)

 

37:9 그 때에 그가 내게 말씀하셨다 "사람아, 너는 생기에게 대언하여라 생기에게 대언하여 이렇게 일러라 '나 주 하나님이 너에게 말한다 너 생기야, 사방에서부터 불어와서 이 살해당한 사람들에게 불어서 그들이 살아나게 하여라'"

( Then he said to me, "Prophesy to the breath; prophesy, son of man, and say to it, 'This is what the Sovereign LORD says: Come from the four winds, O breath, and breathe into these slain, that they may live.'")

 

37:10 그래서 내가 명을 받은 대로 대언하였더니, 생기가 그들 속으로 들어갔고, 그래서 그들이 곧 살아나 제 발로 일어나서 서는데, 엄청나게 큰 군대였다

( So I prophesied as he commanded me, and breath entered them; they came to life and stood up on their feet--a vast army.)

 

37:11 그 때에 그가 내게 말씀하셨다 "사람아, 이 뼈들이 바로 이스라엘 온 족속이다 그들이 말하기를 '우리의 뼈가 말랐고, 우리의 희망도 사라졌으니, 우리는 망했다' 한다

( Then he said to me: "Son of man, these bones are the whole house of Israel. They say, 'Our bones are dried up and our hope is gone; we are cut off.')

 

37:12 그러므로 너는 대언하여 그들에게 전하여라 '나 주 하나님이 말한다 내 백성아, 내가 너희 무덤을 열고, 무덤 속에서 너희를 이끌어 내고, 너희를 이스라엘 땅으로 들어가게 하겠다

( Therefore prophesy and say to them: 'This is what the Sovereign LORD says: O my people, I am going to open your graves and bring you up from them; I will bring you back to the land of Israel.)

 

37:13 내 백성아, 내가 너희의 무덤을 열고 그 무덤 속에서 너희를 이끌어 낼 그 때에야 비로소 너희는, 내가 주인 줄 알 것이다

( Then you, my people, will know that I am the LORD, when I open your graves and bring you up from them.)

 

37:14 내가 내 영을 너희 속에 두어서 너희가 살 수 있게 하고, 너희를 너희의 땅에 데려다가 놓겠으니, 그 때에야 비로소 너희는, 나 주가 말하고 그대로 이룬 줄을 알 것이다 나 주의 말이다'"

( I will put my Spirit in you and you will live, and I will settle you in your own land. Then you will know that I the LORD have spoken, and I have done it, declares the LORD.'")

 

남북 왕국의 통일

 

37:15 주님께서 내게 말씀하셨다

( The word of the LORD came to me:)

 

37:16 "너 사람아, 너는 막대기 하나를 가져다가, 그 위에 '유다 및 그와 연합한 이스라엘 자손'이라고 써라 막대기를 또 하나 가져다가 그 위에 '에브라임의 막대기 곧 요셉 및 그와 연합한 이스라엘 온 족속'이라고 써라

( "Son of man, take a stick of wood and write on it, 'Belonging to Judah and the Israelites associated with him.' Then take another stick of wood, and write on it, 'Ephraim's stick, belonging to Joseph and all the house of Israel associated with him.')

 

37:17 그리고 두 막대기가 하나가 되게, 그 막대기를 서로 연결시켜라 그것들이 네 손에서 하나가 될 것이다

( Join them together into one stick so that they will become one in your hand.)

 

37:18 네 민족이 네게 묻기를 '이것이 무슨 뜻인지 우리에게 일러주지 않겠느냐?' 하면,

( "When your countrymen ask you, 'Won't you tell us what you mean by this?')

 

37:19 너는 그들에게 말해 주어라 '나 주 하나님이 말한다 내가 에브라임의 손 안에 있는 요셉과 그와 연합한 이스라엘 지파의 막대기를 가져다 놓고, 그 위에 유다의 막대기를 연결시켜서, 그 둘을 한 막대기로 만들겠다 그들이 내 손에서 하나가 될 것이다' 하셨다고 하여라

( say to them, 'This is what the Sovereign LORD says: I am going to take the stick of Joseph--which is in Ephraim's hand--and of the Israelite tribes associated with him, and join it to Judah's stick, making them a single stick of wood, and they will become one in my hand.')

 

37:20 또 너는, 글 쓴 두 막대기를 그들이 보는 앞에서 네 손에 들고,

( Hold before their eyes the sticks you have written on)

 

37:21 그들에게 말해 주어라 '나 주 하나님이 말한다 이스라엘 백성이 들어가 살고 있는 그 여러 민족 속에서 내가 그들을 데리고 나오며, 사방에서 그들을 모아다가, 그들의 땅으로 데리고 들어가겠다

( and say to them, 'This is what the Sovereign LORD says: I will take the Israelites out of the nations where they have gone. I will gather them from all around and bring them back into their own land.)

 

37:22 그들의 땅 이스라엘의 산 위에서 내가 그들을 한 백성으로 만들고, 한 임금이 그들을 다스리게 하며 그들이 다시는 두 민족이 되지 않고, 두 나라로 갈라지지 않을 것이다

( I will make them one nation in the land, on the mountains of Israel. There will be one king over all of them and they will never again be two nations or be divided into two kingdoms.)

 

37:23 그들이 다시는 우상과 역겨운 것과 온갖 범죄로 자기들을 더럽히지 않을 것이다 그들이 범죄한 그 모든 곳에서, 내가 그들을 구해 내어 깨끗이 씻어 주면, 그들은 내 백성이 되고 나는 그들의 하나님이 될 것이다

( They will no longer defile themselves with their idols and vile images or with any of their offenses, for I will save them from all their sinful backsliding, and I will cleanse them. They will be my people, and I will be their God.)

 

37:24 내 종 다윗이 그들을 다스리는 왕이 되어, 그들 모두를 거느리는 한 목자가 될 것이다 그들은 내 규례를 지키며 살고, 내 율례를 지켜 실천할 것이다

( "'My servant David will be king over them, and they will all have one shepherd. They will follow my laws and be careful to keep my decrees.)

 

37:25 그 때에는 내가 내 종 야곱에게 준 땅 곧 그들의 조상이 살던 땅에서 그들이 살게 될 것이다 그 땅에서 그들과, 그 자자손손이 영원히 거기에서 살 것이며, 내 종 다윗이 그들의 영원한 왕이 될 것이다

( They will live in the land I gave to my servant Jacob, the land where your fathers lived. They and their children and their children's children will live there forever, and David my servant will be their prince forever.)

 

37:26 내가 그들과 평화의 언약을 세워서, 영원한 언약을 삼을 것이다 내가 그들을 튼튼히 세우며, 번성하게 하며, 내 성소를 그들 한가운데 세워서 영원히 이어지게 하겠다

( I will make a covenant of peace with them; it will be an everlasting covenant. I will establish them and increase their numbers, and I will put my sanctuary among them forever.)

 

37:27 내가 살 집이 그들 가운데 있을 것이며, 나는 그들의 하나님이 되고 그들은 내 백성이 될 것이다

( My dwelling place will be with them; I will be their God, and they will be my people.)

 

37:28 내 성소가 영원히 그들 한가운데 있을 그 때에야 비로소 세계 만민이, 내가 이스라엘을 거룩하게 하는 주인 줄 알 것이다'"

( Then the nations will know that I the LORD make Israel holy, when my sanctuary is among them forever.'")

하나님의 도구 곡

 

38:1 주님께서 나에게 말씀하셨다

( The word of the LORD came to me:)

 

38:2 "사람아, 너는 마곡 땅 쪽으로 얼굴을 돌리고, 로스와 메섹과 두발의 왕 곡을 규탄하여 예언하여라

( "Son of man, set your face against Gog, of the land of Magog, the chief prince of Meshech and Tubal; prophesy against him)

 

38:3 너는 전하여라 '나 주 하나님이 말한다 너 로스와 메섹과 두발의 왕 곡아, 내가 너를 대적한다

( and say: 'This is what the Sovereign LORD says: I am against you, O Gog, chief prince of Meshech and Tubal.)

 

38:4 내가 너를 돌려 세우고, 갈고리로 네 아가미를 꿰고 너와 네 모든 군대, 곧 군마와 기마병과, 곧 완전무장을 한 군대, 큰 방패와 작은 방패를 들고 칼을 잡은 대 병력을, 내가 끌어내겠다

( I will turn you around, put hooks in your jaws and bring you out with your whole army--your horses, your horsemen fully armed, and a great horde with large and small shields, all of them brandishing their swords.)

 

38:5 방패와 투구로 무장을 한 페르시아와 에티오피아와 리비아를 끌어내고,

( Persia, Cush and Put will be with them, all with shields and helmets,)

 

38:6 고멜과 그의 모든 군대와, 북쪽 끝에 있는 도갈마 족속과 그의 모든 군대와, 수많은 백성을 너와 함께 끌어내겠다

( also Gomer with all its troops, and Beth Togarmah from the far north with all its troops--the many nations with you.)

 

38:7 너는 네게로 집결된 온 군대와 함께, 만반의 준비를 하고, 그들을 잘 지휘하여라

( "'Get ready; be prepared, you and all the hordes gathered about you, and take command of them.)

 

38:8 네가 공격 명령을 받기까지는 오랫동안 기다리고 있어야 한다 여러 해가 지난 다음에 때가 되면, 너는, 오래 걸려 전쟁의 상처를 다 씻은 한 나라를 침략하게 될 것이다 그 나라는, 여러 민족 가운데 흩어져 살다가 돌아온 사람들이, 오랫동안 폐허로 남아 있던 이스라엘의 산지에 다시 세운 나라다 그 나라 백성은 타국 백성들 사이에서 살다가 돌아온 뒤에, 그 때쯤에는 아주 안전하게 살고 있을 것이다

( After many days you will be called to arms. In future years you will invade a land that has recovered from war, whose people were gathered from many nations to the mountains of Israel, which had long been desolate. They had been brought out from the nations, and now all of them live in safety.)

 

38:9 그 때에 네가 쳐올라갈 것이며, 너와 네 모든 군대와 너와 함께 한 많은 나라의 연합군이 폭풍처럼 몰려들고, 구름처럼 그 땅을 덮을 것이다

( You and all your troops and the many nations with you will go up, advancing like a storm; you will be like a cloud covering the land.)

 

38:10 나 주 하나님이 말한다 그 날이 오면, 네 마음 속에서 온갖 생각이 떠올라, 네가 흉악한 생각을 꾀하게 될 것이다

( "'This is what the Sovereign LORD says: On that day thoughts will come into your mind and you will devise an evil scheme.)

 

38:11 그래서 너는 혼자 속으로, 성벽이 없이 사는 마을로 쳐올라가겠다고, 평안히 살고 있는 저 평화로운 사람들에게로 쳐들어가겠다고, 성벽도 없고 성문도 없고 문빗장도 없이 사는 사람들을 덮쳐서

( You will say, "I will invade a land of unwalled villages; I will attack a peaceful and unsuspecting people--all of them living without walls and without gates and bars.)

 

38:12 물건을 약탈하며 노략하겠다고 하는, 악한 생각을 품게 될 것이다 그러나 네가, 여러 나라에 흩어져서 살다가 돌아와서 오랫동안 폐허로 남아 있던 땅에 다시 정착하여 가축과 재산을 늘려 가며 살고 있는 백성을, 손을 들어 칠 때에,

( I will plunder and loot and turn my hand against the resettled ruins and the people gathered from the nations, rich in livestock and goods, living at the center of the land.")

 

38:13 스바와 드단과 스페인의 상인들과 젊은 용사들이 너를 비난할 것이다 네가 노략질이나 하려고 가는 것이냐고, 네가 강탈이나 하려고 군대를 동원하였느냐고, 은과 금을 탈취해 가려고, 가축과 재산을 빼앗아 가려고, 엄청난 전리품을 약탈해 가려고 원정길에 나섰느냐고 비난할 것이다'

( Sheba and Dedan and the merchants of Tarshish and all her villages will say to you, "Have you come to plunder? Have you gathered your hordes to loot, to carry off silver and gold, to take away livestock and goods and to seize much plunder?" ')

 

38:14 사람아, 너는 예언하여 곡에게 전하여라 '나 주 하나님이 말한다 내 백성 이스라엘이 안전하게 사는 그 날을 네가 어찌 알지 못하겠느냐?

( "Therefore, son of man, prophesy and say to Gog: 'This is what the Sovereign LORD says: In that day, when my people Israel are living in safety, will you not take notice of it?)

 

38:15 그 때가 되면, 너는 네 나라 북쪽 끝에서 원정길에 나설 것이다 그 때에 너는 대군을 이끌고 떠날 것이다 놀라운 규모를 지닌 기마대와 많은 보병을 이끌고 정복길에 오를 것이다

( You will come from your place in the far north, you and many nations with you, all of them riding on horses, a great horde, a mighty army.)

 

38:16 마치 구름이 땅을 덮는 것같이, 네가 내 백성 이스라엘을 칠 것이다 곡아, 오랜 세월이 지난 뒤에, 때가 되면 내가 너를 끌어들여서, 내 땅을 치게 하겠다 뭇 민족은, 내가 내 거룩함을 밝히 나타내려고 너를 이렇게 부리고 있는 것을 보고 나서야, 내가 누구인지를 알 것이다

( You will advance against my people Israel like a cloud that covers the land. In days to come, O Gog, I will bring you against my land, so that the nations may know me when I show myself holy through you before their eyes.)

 

38:17 나 주 하나님이 말한다 곡아, 내가 옛날에 내 종 이스라엘의 예언자들을 시켜서 말하여 둔 사람들 가운데 하나가 바로 너다 예언자들이 여러 해 동안 예언하기를, 내가 너를 끌어들여서, 이스라엘을 치게 할 것이라고 말하였다'"

( "'This is what the Sovereign LORD says: Are you not the one I spoke of in former days by my servants the prophets of Israel? At that time they prophesied for years that I would bring you against them.)

 

곡의 심판

 

38:18 "곡이 이스라엘 땅을 쳐들어오는 그 날에는, 내가 분노를 참지 못할 것이다

( This is what will happen in that day: When Gog attacks the land of Israel, my hot anger will be aroused, declares the Sovereign LORD.)

 

38:19 그 때에 내가 질투하고 격노하면서 심판을 선언하여 이스라엘 땅에 큰 지진이 일어나게 할 것이다

( In my zeal and fiery wrath I declare that at that time there shall be a great earthquake in the land of Israel.)

 

38:20 바다의 물고기와 공중의 새와 들의 짐승과, 땅에 기어 다니는 모든 벌레와, 땅 위에 있는 모든 사람이 내 앞에서 떨 것이며, 산이 무너지고, 절벽이 무너지고, 모든 성벽이 허물어질 것이다

( The fish of the sea, the birds of the air, the beasts of the field, every creature that moves along the ground, and all the people on the face of the earth will tremble at my presence. The mountains will be overturned, the cliffs will crumble and every wall will fall to the ground.)

 

38:21 그리고 내가 곡을 칠 칼을 내 모든 산으로 불러들이겠다 나 주 하나님의 말이다 칼을 든 자가 저희끼리 죽일 것이다

( I will summon a sword against Gog on all my mountains, declares the Sovereign LORD. Every man's sword will be against his brother.)

 

38:22 내가 전염병과 피 비린내 나는 일로 그를 심판하겠다 또 내가, 억수 같은 소나기와 돌덩이 같은 우박과 불과 유황을, 곡과 그의 모든 군대와 그와 함께 한 많은 연합군 위에 퍼붓겠다

( I will execute judgment upon him with plague and bloodshed; I will pour down torrents of rain, hailstones and burning sulfur on him and on his troops and on the many nations with him.)

 

38:23 내가 이렇게 뭇 민족이 보는 앞에서 내 위엄을 떨치고 나서 거룩함을 밝히 나타내면, 그 때에야 비로소 그들이, 내가 주인 줄 알 것이다"

( And so I will show my greatness and my holiness, and I will make myself known in the sight of many nations. Then they will know that I am the LORD.')

침략자 곡의 멸망

 

39:1 "너 사람아, 곡을 규탄하여 예언하여라 '나 주 하나님이 말한다 너 로스와 메섹과 두발의 왕 곡아, 내가 너를 대적한다

( "Son of man, prophesy against Gog and say: 'This is what the Sovereign LORD says: I am against you, O Gog, chief prince of Meshech and Tubal.)

 

39:2 내가 너를 돌려 세우고 이끌어 내겠다 너를 북쪽 끝에서 이끌어 내서 이스라엘의 산지를 침략하게 하겠다

( I will turn you around and drag you along. I will bring you from the far north and send you against the mountains of Israel.)

 

39:3 그렇게 해 놓고서, 나는 네 왼손에서는 활을 쳐서 떨어뜨리고, 네 오른손에서는 네 화살을 떨어뜨리겠다

( Then I will strike your bow from your left hand and make your arrows drop from your right hand.)

 

39:4 너는 네 모든 군대와, 너와 함께 한 연합군과 함께 이스라엘의 산지 위에서 쓰러져 죽을 것이다 나는 날개 돋친 온갖 종류의 사나운 새들과 들짐승들에게 너를 넘겨 주어서, 뜯어 먹게 하겠다

( On the mountains of Israel you will fall, you and all your troops and the nations with you. I will give you as food to all kinds of carrion birds and to the wild animals.)

 

39:5 내가 말하였으니, 너는 틀림없이 들판에서 쓰러져 죽을 것이다 나 주 하나님의 말이다

( You will fall in the open field, for I have spoken, declares the Sovereign LORD.)

 

39:6 내가 또 마곡과 여러 섬에서 평안히 사는 사람들에게 불을 보내겠다 그 때에야 비로소 그들이, 내가 주인 줄 알 것이다

( I will send fire on Magog and on those who live in safety in the coastlands, and they will know that I am the LORD.)

 

39:7 내가 내 백성 이스라엘 가운데 내 거룩한 이름을 알려 주어서, 내 거룩한 이름이 다시는 더럽혀지지 않게 하겠다 그 때에야 비로소 뭇 민족이, 내가 주인 줄, 곧 이스라엘의 거룩한 하나님인 줄 알 것이다

( "'I will make known my holy name among my people Israel. I will no longer let my holy name be profaned, and the nations will know that I the LORD am the Holy One in Israel.)

 

39:8 그대로 되어 가고, 그대로 이루어질 것이다 그 날이 바로 내가 예고한 날이다 나 주 하나님의 말이다

( It is coming! It will surely take place, declares the Sovereign LORD. This is the day I have spoken of.)

 

39:9 그 때에는 이스라엘에서 성읍마다 주민이 바깥으로 나가서, 버려진 무기들을 땔감으로 주울 것이다 큰 방패와 작은 방패, 활과 화살, 몽둥이와 창을 모아 땔감으로 쓰면, 일곱 해 동안은 넉넉히 쓸 것이다

( "'Then those who live in the towns of Israel will go out and use the weapons for fuel and burn them up--the small and large shields, the bows and arrows, the war clubs and spears. For seven years they will use them for fuel.)

 

39:10 그 무기들을 땔감으로 쓰기 때문에, 들에 나가서 나무를 주워 오지 않아도 될 것이며, 숲에서 나무를 베어 올 필요도 없을 것이다 그들은 또 전에 자기들에게서 약탈해 간 사람들을 약탈하고, 노략질해 간 사람들을 노략질할 것이다 나 주 하나님의 말이다'"

( They will not need to gather wood from the fields or cut it from the forests, because they will use the weapons for fuel. And they will plunder those who plundered them and loot those who looted them, declares the Sovereign LORD.)

 

곡의 무덤

 

39:11 "그 날에는 내가 이스라엘 땅, 사해의 동쪽, '아바림 골짜기'에 곡의 무덤을 만들어 주겠다 이스라엘 사람들이 곡과 그의 모든 군대를 거기에 묻으면, 여행자들이 그리로는 못 다니게 될 것이고, 그 곳 이름은 '하몬곡 골짜기'라고 불릴 것이다

( "'On that day I will give Gog a burial place in Israel, in the valley of those who travel east toward the Sea. It will block the way of travelers, because Gog and all his hordes will be buried there. So it will be called the Valley of Hamon Gog.)

 

39:12 이스라엘 족속이 그들의 시체를 다 거두어다 묻어서 땅을 깨끗하게 하는 데는, 일곱 달이 걸릴 것이다

( "'For seven months the house of Israel will be burying them in order to cleanse the land.)

 

39:13 그 땅 온 백성이 모두 나서서 시체를 묻을 것이며, 내가 승리하는 날에는 그들이 매장한 일로 영예를 떨칠 것이다 나 주 하나님의 말이다

( All the people of the land will bury them, and the day I am glorified will be a memorable day for them, declares the Sovereign LORD.)

 

39:14 일곱 달이 지난 다음에도, 백성은 시체를 찾아 묻는 일을 전담할 사람들을 뽑아서, 그 땅을 늘 돌아다니게 할 것이며, 그들은 시체를 묻는 사람들과 함께 돌아다니면서, 지면에 남아 있는 시체들을 샅샅이 찾아 묻어서, 그 땅을 깨끗하게 할 것이다

( "'Men will be regularly employed to cleanse the land. Some will go throughout the land and, in addition to them, others will bury those that remain on the ground. At the end of the seven months they will begin their search.)

 

39:15 그들이 그 땅을 돌아다니다가, 누구라도 사람의 뼈를 발견하여 그 곁에 표시를 해 두면, 시체를 묻는 사람들이 그 표시를 보고 시체를 찾아, 그것을 가져다가 '하몬곡 골짜기'에 묻을 것이다

( As they go through the land and one of them sees a human bone, he will set up a marker beside it until the gravediggers have buried it in the Valley of Hamon Gog.)

 

39:16 그 부근에는 '하몬곡 골짜기'라는 이름을 딴 하모나라는 성읍이 생길 것이다 그들이 이렇게 그 땅을 깨끗하게 할 것이다"

( (Also a town called Hamonah will be there.) And so they will cleanse the land.')

 

39:17 나 주 하나님이 말한다 "너 사람아, 날개 돋친 온갖 종류의 새들과 들의 모든 짐승에게 전하여라 '너희는 모여 오너라 내가, 너희들이 먹을 수 있도록 이스라엘의 산 위에서 희생제물을 잡아서, 큰 잔치를 준비할 터이니, 너희가 사방에서 몰려와서, 고기도 먹고 피도 마셔라

( "Son of man, this is what the Sovereign LORD says: Call out to every kind of bird and all the wild animals: 'Assemble and come together from all around to the sacrifice I am preparing for you, the great sacrifice on the mountains of Israel. There you will eat flesh and drink blood.)

 

39:18 너희는 용사들의 살을 먹고, 세상 왕들의 피를 마셔라 바산에서 살지게 기른 가축들, 곧 숫양과 어린 양과 염소와 수송아지들을 먹듯이 하여라

( You will eat the flesh of mighty men and drink the blood of the princes of the earth as if they were rams and lambs, goats and bulls--all of them fattened animals from Bashan.)

 

39:19 너희는 내가 너희에게 주려고 준비한 잔치의 제물 가운데서 기름진 것을 배부르도록 먹고, 피도 취하도록 마셔라

( At the sacrifice I am preparing for you, you will eat fat till you are glutted and drink blood till you are drunk.)

 

39:20 또 너희는 내가 마련한 잔칫상에서 군마와 기병과 용사와 모든 군인을 배부르게 뜯어 먹어라 나 주 하나님의 말이다'"

( At my table you will eat your fill of horses and riders, mighty men and soldiers of every kind,' declares the Sovereign LORD.)

 

이스라엘의 회복

 

39:21 "내가 이와 같이 여러 민족 가운데 내 영광을 드러낼 것이니, 내가 어떻게 심판을 집행하며, 내가 어떻게 그들에게 내 권능을 나타내는지, 여러 민족이 직접 볼 것이다

( "I will display my glory among the nations, and all the nations will see the punishment I inflict and the hand I lay upon them.)

 

39:22 그 때에야 비로소 이스라엘 족속이, 나 주가 그들의 하나님임을 그 날로부터 영원히 알게 될 것이다

( From that day forward the house of Israel will know that I am the LORD their God.)

 

39:23 그 때에야 비로소 여러 민족은, 이스라엘 족속도 죄를 지었기 때문에 포로로 끌려갔다는 것을 알게 될 것이다 그들이 나를 배반하였기 때문에 내가 그들을 모른 체 하고 그들을 원수의 손에 넘겨 주어, 모두 칼에 쓰러지게 했다는 것을 알게 될 것이다

( And the nations will know that the people of Israel went into exile for their sin, because they were unfaithful to me. So I hid my face from them and handed them over to their enemies, and they all fell by the sword.)

 

39:24 나는 그들의 더러움과 그들의 온갖 범죄에 따라서 그들을 벌하였고, 그들을 외면하였다"

( I dealt with them according to their uncleanness and their offenses, and I hid my face from them.)

 

39:25 "그러므로 나 주 하나님이 말한다 이제는 내가 포로된 야곱의 자손을 돌아오게 하고, 이스라엘 온 족속을 불쌍히 여기며, 내 거룩한 이름을 열심을 내어 지키겠다

( "Therefore this is what the Sovereign LORD says: I will now bring Jacob back from captivity and will have compassion on all the people of Israel, and I will be zealous for my holy name.)

 

39:26 이스라엘이 고국 땅으로 돌아와서 평안히 살고, 그들을 위협하는 사람이 없게 될 때에, 그들은 수치스러웠던 일들과 나를 배반한 모든 행위를 부끄러워하며 뉘우칠 것이다

( They will forget their shame and all the unfaithfulness they showed toward me when they lived in safety in their land with no one to make them afraid.)

 

39:27 내가 그들을 만민 가운데서 돌아오게 하고, 원수들의 땅에서 그들을 모아 데리고 나올 때에, 뭇 민족이 보는 앞에서, 내가 그들로 말미암아 내 거룩함을 나타낼 것이다

( When I have brought them back from the nations and have gathered them from the countries of their enemies, I will show myself holy through them in the sight of many nations.)

 

39:28 그 때에야 비로소 뭇 민족이 나 주 이스라엘 하나님이 이스라엘을 여러 민족에게 포로가 되어 잡혀 가게 하였으나, 그들을 고국 땅으로 다시 모으고, 그들 가운데서 한 사람도 다른 나라에 남아 있지 않게 한 줄을 알 것이다

( Then they will know that I am the LORD their God, for though I sent them into exile among the nations, I will gather them to their own land, not leaving any behind.)

 

39:29 내가 이스라엘 족속에게 내 영을 부어 주었으니, 내가 그들을 다시는 외면하지 않겠다 나 주 하나님의 말이다"

( I will no longer hide my face from them, for I will pour out my Spirit on the house of Israel, declares the Sovereign LORD.")
