호세아12-14: 이스라엘을 향한 하나님의 사랑

호세아 12장

 

12:1 에브라임은 바람을 먹고 살며, 종일 열풍을 따라서 달리고, 거짓말만 하고 폭력만을 일삼는다 앗시리아와 동맹을 맺고 이집트에는 기름을 조공으로 바친다

( Ephraim feeds on the wind; he pursues the east wind all day and multiplies lies and violence. He makes a treaty with Assyria and sends olive oil to Egypt.)

 

12:2 주님께서 유다를 심판하시고, 야곱을 그의 행실에 따라 처벌하실 것이다 그가 한 일들을 따라 그대로 그에게 갚으실 것이다

( The LORD has a charge to bring against Judah; he will punish Jacob according to his ways and repay him according to his deeds.)

 

12:3 야곱이 모태에 있을 때에는 형과 싸웠으며, 다 큰 다음에는 하나님과 대결하여 싸웠다

( In the womb he grasped his brother's heel; as a man he struggled with God.)

 

12:4 야곱은 천사와 싸워서 이기자, 울면서 은총을 간구하였다 하나님은 베델에서 그를 만나시고, 거기에서 우리에게 말씀하셨다

( He struggled with the angel and overcame him; he wept and begged for his favor. He found him at Bethel and talked with him there--)

 

12:5 주님은 만군의 하나님이다 '주님'은 우리가 기억해야 할 그분의 이름이다

( the LORD God Almighty, the LORD is his name of renown!)

 

12:6 그러니 너희는 하나님께로 돌아오너라 사랑과 정의를 지키며, 너희 하나님에게만 희망을 두고 살아라

( But you must return to your God; maintain love and justice, and wait for your God always.)

 

에브라임의 사회 경제적인 범죄

 

12:7 "에브라임은, 거짓 저울을 손에 든 장사꾼이 되어서, 사람 속이기를 좋아한다

( The merchant uses dishonest scales; he loves to defraud.)

 

12:8 그러면서도 에브라임은 자랑한다 '아, 내가 정말 부자가 되었구나 이제는 한 밑천 톡톡히 잡았다 모두 내가 피땀을 흘려서 모은 재산이니, 누가 나더러 부정으로 재산을 모았다고 말하겠는가?'

( Ephraim boasts, "I am very rich; I have become wealthy. With all my wealth they will not find in me any iniquity or sin.")

 

12:9 그러나 나는, 너희가 이집트 땅에 살 때로부터 너희의 주 하나님이다 내가 광야에서 너희를 찾아갔을 때에 너희가 장막에서 살았던 것처럼, 나는, 너희가 다시 장막에서 살게 하겠다

( "I am the LORD your God, who brought you out of Egypt; I will make you live in tents again, as in the days of your appointed feasts.)

 

12:10 내가 예언자들에게 말할 때에, 여러 가지 환상을 보였으며, 예언자를 시켜서 백성에게 내 계획을 알렸다

( I spoke to the prophets, gave them many visions and told parables through them.")

 

12:11 길르앗이 악하냐? 그렇다 그들은 거짓되다 길갈에서는 사람들이 황소를 잡아서 제물로 바치고 있다 그들의 제단이 들녘의 돌더미처럼 많다"

( Is Gilead wicked? Its people are worthless! Do they sacrifice bulls in Gilgal? Their altars will be like piles of stones on a plowed field.)

 

12:12 우리 조상 야곱은 메소포타미아 평야로 달아나야 했다 이스라엘은 아내를 얻으려고 종살이를 하였다 아내를 얻으려고 목자가 되었다

( Jacob fled to the country of Aram; Israel served to get a wife, and to pay for her he tended sheep.)

 

12:13 주님께서는 예언자 한 사람을 시키셔서 이스라엘을 이집트에서 이끌어 내시고, 예언자 한 사람을 시키셔서 그들을 지켜 주셨다

( The LORD used a prophet to bring Israel up from Egypt, by a prophet he cared for him.)

 

12:14 에브라임이 주님을 몹시 노엽게 하였으니 죽어 마땅하다 주님께서 에브라임을 벌하시고, 받으신 수모를 에브라임에게 되돌려 주실 것이다

( But Ephraim has bitterly provoked him to anger; his Lord will leave upon him the guilt of his bloodshed and will repay him for his contempt.)

호세아 13장

 

이스라엘에 대한 최후의 심판

 

13:1 "에브라임이 말만 하면 모두 떨었다 온 이스라엘이 그렇게 에브라임을 우러러보았는데, 바알 신을 섬겨 죄를 짓고 말았으므로, 이제 망하고 말았다

( When Ephraim spoke, men trembled; he was exalted in Israel. But he became guilty of Baal worship and died.)

 

13:2 그런데도 그들은 거듭 죄를 짓고 있다 은을 녹여 거푸집에 부어서 우상들을 만든다 재주껏 만든 은 신상들, 그것들은 모두 세공업자들이 만든 것인데도, 그들은, 이 신상 앞에 제물을 바치라고 하면서, 송아지 신상들에게 입을 맞춘다

( Now they sin more and more; they make idols for themselves from their silver, cleverly fashioned images, all of them the work of craftsmen. It is said of these people, "They offer human sacrifice and kiss the calf-idols.")

 

13:3 그러므로 그들은 아침 안개처럼 되고, 이른 새벽에 사라지는 이슬처럼 될 것이다 타작 마당에서 바람에 날려 나가는 쭉정이처럼 되고, 굴뚝에서 나오는 연기처럼 될 것이다

( Therefore they will be like the morning mist, like the early dew that disappears, like chaff swirling from a threshing floor, like smoke escaping through a window.)

 

13:4 그러나 나는, 너희가 이집트 땅에 살 때로부터 주 너희의 하나님이다 그 때에 너희가 아는 하나님은 나밖에 없고, 나 말고는 다른 구원자가 없었다

( "But I am the LORD your God, who brought you out of Egypt. You shall acknowledge no God but me, no Savior except me.)

 

13:5 나는 저 광야에서, 그 메마른 땅에서, 너희를 먹이고 살렸다

( I cared for you in the desert, in the land of burning heat.)

 

13:6 그들을 잘 먹였더니 먹는 대로 배가 불렀고, 배가 부를수록 마음이 교만해지더니, 마침내 나를 잊었다

( When I fed them, they were satisfied; when they were satisfied, they became proud; then they forgot me.)

 

13:7 그래서 내가 그들에게 사자처럼 되고, 이제는 표범처럼 되어서, 길목을 지키겠다

( So I will come upon them like a lion, like a leopard I will lurk by the path.)

 

13:8 새끼 빼앗긴 암곰처럼 그들에게 달려들어, 염통을 갈기갈기 찢을 것이다 암사자처럼, 그 자리에서 그들을 뜯어먹을 것이다 들짐승들이 그들을 남김없이 찢어 먹을 것이다

( Like a bear robbed of her cubs, I will attack them and rip them open. Like a lion I will devour them; a wild animal will tear them apart.)

 

13:9 이스라엘아, 네가 나를 대적하니, 너를 돕는 자를 대적하니, 너는 이제 망했다

( "You are destroyed, O Israel, because you are against me, against your helper.)

 

13:10 왕과 대신들을 세워 달라고 조르더니, 도대체, 너의 왕이 지금 어디에 있느냐? 너를 구원하라고 하여라 대신들이 지금 어디에 있느냐? 너의 모든 성읍에서 샅샅이 찾아보아라 너를 궁지에서 건져 달라고 하여라

( Where is your king, that he may save you? Where are your rulers in all your towns, of whom you said, 'Give me a king and princes'?)

 

13:11 내가 홧김에 너에게 왕을 주었으나, 분을 참을 수 없어서 너의 왕을 없애 버렸다

( So in my anger I gave you a king, and in my wrath I took him away.)

 

13:12 에브라임의 허물을 적은 문서를 모두 모았고, 죄상을 적은 기록을 모두 보관하고 있다

( The guilt of Ephraim is stored up, his sins are kept on record.)

 

13:13 에브라임이 다시 태어나는 진통을 겪고 있다 그러나 그는, 때가 되었는데도 태를 열고 나올 줄 모르는 미련한 아들과도 같다

( Pains as of a woman in childbirth come to him, but he is a child without wisdom; when the time arrives, he does not come to the opening of the womb.)

 

13:14 내가 그들을 스올의 권세에서 속량하며 내가 그들을 사망에서 구속하겠다 사망아, 네 재앙이 어디 있느냐? 스올아, 네 멸망이 어디 있느냐? 이제는 내게 동정심 같은 것은 없다

( "I will ransom them from the power of the grave; I will redeem them from death. Where, O death, are your plagues? Where, O grave, is your destruction? "I will have no compassion,)

 

13:15 이스라엘이 비록 형제들 가운데서 번성하여도, 사막에서 동풍이 불어오게 할 터이니, 주의 바람이 불면 샘과 우물이 모두 말라 버리고, 귀중한 보물상자들도 모두 빼앗길 것이다

( even though he thrives among his brothers. An east wind from the LORD will come, blowing in from the desert; his spring will fail and his well dry up. His storehouse will be plundered of all its treasures.)

 

13:16 사마리아가 저의 하나님에게 반항하였으니, 이제는 그 죄값을 치를 수밖에 없다 사람들은 칼에 찔려 쓰러지고, 어린 아이들은 박살 나고, 아이 밴 여인들은 배가 찢길 것이다"

( The people of Samaria must bear their guilt, because they have rebelled against their God. They will fall by the sword; their little ones will be dashed to the ground, their pregnant women ripped open.")

호세아 14장

 

이스라엘을 향한 호세아의 호소

 

14:1 이스라엘아, 주 너의 하나님께로 돌아오너라 네가 지은 죄가 너를 걸어 거꾸러뜨렸지만,

( Return, O Israel, to the LORD your God. Your sins have been your downfall!)

 

14:2 너희는 말씀을 받들고 주님께로 돌아와서 이렇게 아뢰어라 "우리가 지은 모든 죄를 용서하여 주십시오 우리를 자비롭게 받아 주십시오 수송아지를 드리는 대신에 우리가 입술을 열어 주님을 찬양하겠습니다

( Take words with you and return to the LORD. Say to him: "Forgive all our sins and receive us graciously, that we may offer the fruit of our lips.)

 

14:3 다시는 앗시리아에게 우리를 살려 달라고 호소하지 않겠습니다 군마를 의지하지도 않겠습니다 다시는 우리 손으로 만들어 놓은 우상을 우리의 신이라고 고백하지도 않겠습니다 고아를 가엾게 여기시는 분은 주님밖에 없습니다"

( Assyria cannot save us; we will not mount war-horses. We will never again say 'Our gods' to what our own hands have made, for in you the fatherless find compassion.")

 

주께서 이스라엘에게 새 삶을 약속하시다

 

14:4 "내가 그들의 반역하는 병을 고쳐 주고, 기꺼이 그들을 사랑하겠다 그들에게 품었던 나의 분노가 이제는 다 풀렸다

( "I will heal their waywardness and love them freely, for my anger has turned away from them.)

 

14:5 내가 이스라엘 위에 이슬처럼 내릴 것이니, 이스라엘이 나리꽃처럼 피고, 레바논의 백향목처럼 뿌리를 내릴 것이다

( I will be like the dew to Israel; he will blossom like a lily. Like a cedar of Lebanon he will send down his roots;)

 

14:6 그 나무에서 가지들이 새로 뻗고, 올리브 나무처럼 아름다워지고, 레바논의 백향목처럼 향기롭게 될 것이다

( his young shoots will grow. His splendor will be like an olive tree, his fragrance like a cedar of Lebanon.)

 

14:7 그들이 다시 내 그늘 밑에 살면서, 농사를 지어서 곡식을 거둘 것이다 포도나무처럼 꽃이 피고, 레바논의 포도주처럼 유명해질 것이다

( Men will dwell again in his shade. He will flourish like the grain. He will blossom like a vine, and his fame will be like the wine from Lebanon.)

 

14:8 에브라임이 고백할 것이다 '나는 이제 우상들과 아무 상관이 없습니다' 그러면 나는 그에게 응답할 것이다 '내가 너를 지켜 주마' 나는 무성한 잣나무와 같으니, 너는 필요한 생명의 열매를 나에게서 언제나 얻을 수 있을 것이다"

( O Ephraim, what more have I to do with idols? I will answer him and care for him. I am like a green pine tree; your fruitfulness comes from me.")

 

맺는 말

 

14:9 지혜로운 사람은 여기에 쓴 것을 깨달아라 총명한 사람은 이것을 마음에 새겨라 주님의 길은 올바르다 의로운 백성은 그 길을 따라 살아가지만 죄인은 비틀거리며 넘어질 것이다

( Who is wise? He will realize these things. Who is discerning? He will understand them. The ways of the LORD are right; the righteous walk in them, but the rebellious stumble in them.)
