로마서 1장

 

1:1 그리스도 예수의 종인 나 바울은 부르심을 받아 사도가 되었습니다 나는 하나님의 복음을 전하기 위하여 따로 세우심을 받았습니다

( Paul, a servant of Christ Jesus, called to be an apostle and set apart for the gospel of God--)

 

1:2 이 복음은 하나님께서 예언자들을 통하여 성경에 미리 약속하신 것으로

( the gospel he promised beforehand through his prophets in the Holy Scriptures)

 

1:3 그의 아들을 두고 하신 말씀입니다 이 아들은, 육신으로는 다윗의 후손으로 태어나셨으며,

( regarding his Son, who as to his human nature was a descendant of David,)

 

1:4 성령으로는 죽은 사람들 가운데서 부활하심으로 나타내신 권능으로 하나님의 아들로 확정되신 분이십니다 그는 곧 우리 주 예수 그리스도이십니다

( and who through the Spirit of holiness was declared with power to be the Son of God by his resurrection from the dead: Jesus Christ our Lord.)

 

1:5 우리는 그를 통하여 은혜를 입어 사도의 직분을 받았습니다 그것은 우리가 그 이름을 전하여 모든 민족이 믿고 순종하게 하려는 것입니다

( Through him and for his name's sake, we received grace and apostleship to call people from among all the Gentiles to the obedience that comes from faith.)

 

1:6 여러분도 그들 가운데 들어 있어서, 예수 그리스도의 부르심을 받은 사람이 되었습니다

( And you also are among those who are called to belong to Jesus Christ.)

 

1:7 나는 로마에 있는 모든 신도에게 이 편지를 씁니다 하나님께서 여러분을 사랑하셔서, 그의 거룩한 백성으로 부르셨습니다 하나님 우리 아버지와 주 예수 그리스도께서 내려 주시는 은혜와 평화가 여러분에게 있기를 빕니다

( To all in Rome who are loved by God and called to be saints: Grace and peace to you from God our Father and from the Lord Jesus Christ.)

 

바울의 로마 방문 계획

 

1:8 나는 먼저 여러분 모두의 일로, 예수 그리스도를 통하여 나의 하나님께 감사를 드립니다 그것은 여러분의 믿음에 대한 소문이 온 세상에 퍼지고 있기 때문입니다

( First, I thank my God through Jesus Christ for all of you, because your faith is being reported all over the world.)

 

1:9 하나님은, 내가 그 아들의 복음을 전하는 일로 충심으로 섬기는 분이시기에, 내 마음 속을 알고 계십니다 나는 기도할 때마다, 언제나 여러분을 생각하며,

( God, whom I serve with my whole heart in preaching the gospel of his Son, is my witness how constantly I remember you)

 

1:10 어떻게 해서든지 하나님의 뜻으로 여러분에게로 갈 수 있는 좋은 길이 열리기를 간구하고 있습니다

( in my prayers at all times; and I pray that now at last by God's will the way may be opened for me to come to you.)

 

1:11 내가 여러분을 간절히 보고 싶어하는 것은, 여러분에게 신령한 은사를 좀 나누어주어, 여러분을 굳세게 하려고 하는 것입니다

( I long to see you so that I may impart to you some spiritual gift to make you strong--)

 

1:12 이것은, 내가 여러분과 함께 지내면서, 여러분과 내가 서로의 믿음으로 서로 격려를 받고자 하는 것입니다

( that is, that you and I may be mutually encouraged by each other's faith.)

 

1:13 형제자매 여러분, 여러분은 이것을 아시기 바랍니다 나는 여러분에게 가려고 여러 번 마음을 먹었으나, 지금까지 길이 막혀서 뜻을 이루지 못하였습니다 나는 다른 이방 사람들 가운데서도 열매를 거둔 것과 같이, 여러분 가운데서도 그것을 좀 거두려고 했던 것입니다

( I do not want you to be unaware, brothers, that I planned many times to come to you (but have been prevented from doing so until now) in order that I might have a harvest among you, just as I have had among the other Gentiles.)

 

1:14 나는 그리스 사람에게나 미개한 사람에게나, 지혜가 있는 사람에게나 어리석은 사람에게나, 다 빚을 진 사람입니다

( I am obligated both to Greeks and non-Greeks, both to the wise and the foolish.)

 

1:15 그러므로 나의 간절한 소원은, 로마에 있는 여러분에게도 복음을 전하는 일입니다

( That is why I am so eager to preach the gospel also to you who are at Rome.)

 

복음의 능력

 

1:16 나는 복음을 부끄러워하지 않습니다 이 복음은 유대 사람을 비롯하여 그리스 사람에게 이르기까지, 모든 믿는 사람을 구원하는 하나님의 능력입니다

( I am not ashamed of the gospel, because it is the power of God for the salvation of everyone who believes: first for the Jew, then for the Gentile.)

 

1:17 하나님의 의가 복음 속에 나타납니다 이 일은 오로지 믿음에 근거하여 일어납니다 이것은 성경에 기록한 바 "의인은 믿음으로 살 것이다" 한 것과 같습니다

( For in the gospel a righteousness from God is revealed, a righteousness that is by faith from first to last, just as it is written: "The righteous will live by faith.")

 

사람이 짓는 갖가지 죄

 

1:18 하나님의 진노가, 불의한 행동으로 진리를 가로막는 사람의 온갖 불경건함과 불의함을 겨냥하여, 하늘로부터 나타납니다

( The wrath of God is being revealed from heaven against all the godlessness and wickedness of men who suppress the truth by their wickedness,)

 

1:19 하나님을 알 만한 일이 사람에게 환히 드러나 있습니다 하나님께서 그것을 환히 드러내 주셨습니다

( since what may be known about God is plain to them, because God has made it plain to them.)

 

1:20 이 세상 창조 때로부터, 하나님의 보이지 않는 속성, 곧 그분의 영원하신 능력과 신성은, 사람이 그 지으신 만물을 보고서 깨닫게 되어 있습니다 그러므로 사람들은 핑계를 댈 수가 없습니다

( For since the creation of the world God's invisible qualities--his eternal power and divine nature--have been clearly seen, being understood from what has been made, so that men are without excuse.)

 

1:21 사람들은 하나님을 알면서도, 하나님을 하나님으로 영화롭게 해드리거나 감사를 드리기는커녕, 오히려 생각이 허망해져서, 그들의 지각없는 마음이 어두워졌습니다

( For although they knew God, they neither glorified him as God nor gave thanks to him, but their thinking became futile and their foolish hearts were darkened.)

 

1:22 사람들은 스스로 지혜가 있다고 주장하지만, 실상은 어리석은 사람이 되었습니다

( Although they claimed to be wise, they became fools)

 

1:23 그들은 썩지 않는 하나님의 영광을, 썩어 없어질 사람이나 새나 네 발 짐승이나 기어다니는 동물의 형상으로 바꾸어 놓았습니다

( and exchanged the glory of the immortal God for images made to look like mortal man and birds and animals and reptiles.)

 

1:24 그러므로 하나님께서는, 사람들이 마음의 욕정대로 하도록 더러움에 그대로 내버려 두시니, 서로의 몸을 욕되게 하였습니다

( Therefore God gave them over in the sinful desires of their hearts to sexual impurity for the degrading of their bodies with one another.)

 

1:25 사람들은 하나님의 진리를 거짓으로 바꾸고, 창조주 대신에 피조물을 숭배하고 섬겼습니다 하나님은 영원히 찬송을 받으실 분이십니다 아멘

( They exchanged the truth of God for a lie, and worshiped and served created things rather than the Creator--who is forever praised. Amen.)

 

1:26 이런 까닭에, 하나님께서는 사람들을 부끄러운 정욕에 내버려 두셨습니다 여자들은 남자와의 바른 관계를 바르지 못한 관계로 바꾸고,

( Because of this, God gave them over to shameful lusts. Even their women exchanged natural relations for unnatural ones.)

 

1:27 또한 남자들도 이와 같이, 여자와의 바른 관계를 버리고 서로 욕정에 불탔으며, 남자가 남자와 더불어 부끄러운 짓을 하게 되었습니다 그래서 그들은 그 잘못에 마땅한 대가를 스스로 받았습니다

( In the same way the men also abandoned natural relations with women and were inflamed with lust for one another. Men committed indecent acts with other men, and received in themselves the due penalty for their perversion.)

 

1:28 사람들이 하나님을 인정하기를 싫어하므로, 하나님께서는 사람들을 타락한 마음 자리에 내버려 두셔서, 해서는 안될 일을 하도록 놓아 두셨습니다

( Furthermore, since they did not think it worthwhile to retain the knowledge of God, he gave them over to a depraved mind, to do what ought not to be done.)

 

1:29 사람들은 온갖 불의와 악행과 탐욕과 악의로 가득 차 있으며, 시기와 살의와 분쟁과 사기와 적의로 가득 차 있으며, 수군거리는 자요,

( They have become filled with every kind of wickedness, evil, greed and depravity. They are full of envy, murder, strife, deceit and malice. They are gossips,)

 

1:30 중상하는 자요, 하나님을 미워하는 자요, 불손한 자요, 오만한 자요, 자랑하는 자요, 악을 꾸미는 모략꾼이요, 부모를 거역하는 자요,

( slanderers, God-haters, insolent, arrogant and boastful; they invent ways of doing evil; they disobey their parents;)

 

1:31 우매한 자요, 신의가 없는 자요, 무정한 자요, 무자비한 자입니다

( they are senseless, faithless, heartless, ruthless.)

 

1:32 그들은, 이와 같은 일을 하는 자들은 죽어야 마땅하다는 하나님의 공정한 법도를 알면서도, 자기들만 이런 일을 하는 것이 아니라, 이런 일을 저지르는 사람을 두둔하기까지 합니다

( Although they know God's righteous decree that those who do such things deserve death, they not only continue to do these very things but also approve of those who practice them.)

로마서 2장

 

하나님의 공정한 심판

 

2:1 그러므로 남을 심판하는 사람이여, 그대가 누구이든지, 죄가 없다고 변명할 수 없습니다 그대는 남을 심판하는 일로 결국 자기를 정죄하는 셈입니다 남을 심판하는 그대도 똑같은 일을 하고 있기 때문입니다

( You, therefore, have no excuse, you who pass judgment on someone else, for at whatever point you judge the other, you are condemning yourself, because you who pass judgment do the same things.)

 

2:2 하나님의 심판이 이런 일을 하는 사람들에게 공정하게 내린다는 것을 우리는 압니다

( Now we know that God's judgment against those who do such things is based on truth.)

 

2:3 이런 일을 하는 사람들을 심판하면서, 스스로 그런 일을 하는 사람이여, 그대는 하나님의 심판을 피할 수 있을 줄로 생각합니까?

( So when you, a mere man, pass judgment on them and yet do the same things, do you think you will escape God's judgment?)

 

2:4 아니면, 하나님께서 인자하심을 베푸셔서 그대를 인도하여 회개하게 하신다는 것을 알지 못하고, 오히려 하나님의 풍성하신 인자하심과 너그러우심과 오래 참으심을 업신여기는 것입니까?

( Or do you show contempt for the riches of his kindness, tolerance and patience, not realizing that God's kindness leads you toward repentance?)

 

2:5 그대는 완고하여 회개할 마음이 없으니, 하나님의 공정한 심판이 나타날 진노의 날에 자기가 받을 진노를 스스로 쌓아 올리고 있는 것입니다

( But because of your stubbornness and your unrepentant heart, you are storing up wrath against yourself for the day of God's wrath, when his righteous judgment will be revealed.)

 

2:6 하나님께서는 "각 사람에게 그가 한 대로 갚아 주실 것입니다"

( God "will give to each person according to what he has done.")

 

2:7 참으면서 선한 일을 하여 영광과 존귀와 불멸의 것을 구하는 사람에게는 영원한 생명을 주시고,

( To those who by persistence in doing good seek glory, honor and immortality, he will give eternal life.)

 

2:8 이기심에 사로잡혀서 진리를 거스르고 불의를 따르는 사람에게는 진노와 분노를 쏟으실 것입니다

( But for those who are self-seeking and who reject the truth and follow evil, there will be wrath and anger.)

 

2:9 악한 일을 하는 모든 사람에게는, 먼저 유대 사람을 비롯하여 그리스 사람에게 이르기까지, 환난과 고통을 주실 것이요,

( There will be trouble and distress for every human being who does evil: first for the Jew, then for the Gentile;)

 

2:10 선한 일을 하는 모든 사람에게는, 먼저 유대 사람을 비롯하여 그리스 사람에게 이르기까지, 영광과 존귀와 평강을 내리실 것입니다

( but glory, honor and peace for everyone who does good: first for the Jew, then for the Gentile.)

 

2:11 하나님께서는 사람을 차별함이 없이 대하시기 때문입니다

( For God does not show favoritism.)

 

2:12 율법을 모르고 범죄한 사람은 율법과 상관없이 망할 것이요, 율법을 알고 범죄한 사람은 율법을 따라 심판을 받을 것입니다

( All who sin apart from the law will also perish apart from the law, and all who sin under the law will be judged by the law.)

 

2:13 하나님 앞에서는 율법을 듣는 사람이 의로운 사람이 아닙니다 오직 율법을 실천하는 사람이라야 의롭게 될 것이기 때문입니다

( For it is not those who hear the law who are righteous in God's sight, but it is those who obey the law who will be declared righteous.)

 

2:14 율법을 가지지 않은 이방 사람이, 사람의 본성을 따라 율법이 명하는 바를 행하면, 그들은 율법을 가지고 있지 않아도, 자기 자신이 자기에게 율법입니다

( (Indeed, when Gentiles, who do not have the law, do by nature things required by the law, they are a law for themselves, even though they do not have the law,)

 

2:15 그런 사람은, 율법이 요구하는 일이 자기의 마음에 적혀 있음을 드러내 보입니다 그들의 양심도 이 사실을 증언합니다 그들의 생각들이 서로 고발하기도 하고, 변호하기도 합니다

( since they show that the requirements of the law are written on their hearts, their consciences also bearing witness, and their thoughts now accusing, now even defending them.))

 

2:16 이런 일은, 내가 전하는 복음대로, 하나님께서 그리스도를 내세우셔서 사람들이 감추고 있는 비밀들을 심판하실 그 날에 드러날 것입니다

( This will take place on the day when God will judge men's secrets through Jesus Christ, as my gospel declares.)

 

유대 사람과 율법

 

2:17 그런데, 그대가 유대 사람이라고 자처한다고 합시다 그래서 그대는 율법을 의지하며, 하나님을 자랑하며,

( Now you, if you call yourself a Jew; if you rely on the law and brag about your relationship to God;)

 

2:18 율법의 가르침을 받아서 하나님의 뜻을 알고 가장 선한 일을 분간할 줄 알며,

( if you know his will and approve of what is superior because you are instructed by the law;)

 

2:19 눈먼 사람의 길잡이요 어둠 속에 있는 사람의 빛이라고 생각하며,

( if you are convinced that you are a guide for the blind, a light for those who are in the dark,)

 

2:20 지식과 진리가 율법에 구체화된 모습으로 들어 있다고 하면서, 스스로 어리석은 사람의 스승이요 어린 아이의 교사로 확신한다고 합시다

( an instructor of the foolish, a teacher of infants, because you have in the law the embodiment of knowledge and truth--)

 

2:21 그렇다면 그대는 남은 가르치면서도, 왜 자기 자신은 가르치지 않습니까? 도둑질을 하지 말라고 설교하면서도, 왜 도둑질을 합니까?

( you, then, who teach others, do you not teach yourself? You who preach against stealing, do you steal?)

 

2:22 간음을 하지 말라고 하면서도, 왜 간음을 합니까? 우상을 미워하면서도, 왜 신전의 물건을 훔칩니까?

( You who say that people should not commit adultery, do you commit adultery? You who abhor idols, do you rob temples?)

 

2:23 율법을 자랑하면서도, 왜 율법을 어겨서 하나님을 욕되게 합니까?

( You who brag about the law, do you dishonor God by breaking the law?)

 

2:24 성경에 기록한 바 "너희 때문에 하나님의 이름이 이방 사람들 가운데서 모독을 받는다" 한 것과 같습니다

( As it is written: "God's name is blasphemed among the Gentiles because of you.")

 

2:25 율법을 지키면 할례를 받은 것이 유익하지만, 율법을 어기면 그대가 받은 할례는 할례를 받지 않은 것으로 되어 버립니다

( Circumcision has value if you observe the law, but if you break the law, you have become as though you had not been circumcised.)

 

2:26 그러므로 할례를 받지 않은 사람이 율법의 규정을 지키면, 그 사람은 할례를 받지 않았더라도 할례를 받은 것으로 여겨질 것이 아니겠습니까?

( If those who are not circumcised keep the law's requirements, will they not be regarded as though they were circumcised?)

 

2:27 그리고 본래 할례를 받지 않았더라도 율법을 온전히 지키는 사람이, 율법의 조문을 가지고 있고 할례를 받았으면서도 율법을 범하는 사람인 그대를 정죄할 것입니다

( The one who is not circumcised physically and yet obeys the law will condemn you who, even though you have the written code and circumcision, are a lawbreaker.)

 

2:28 겉모양으로 유대 사람이라고 해서 유대 사람이 아니요, 겉모양으로 살갗에 할례를 받았다고 해서 할례가 아닙니다

( A man is not a Jew if he is only one outwardly, nor is circumcision merely outward and physical.)

 

2:29 오히려 속 사람으로 유대 사람인 이가 유대 사람이며, 율법의 조문을 따라서 받는 할례가 아니라 성령으로 마음에 받는 할례가 참 할례입니다 이런 사람은, 사람에게서가 아니라, 하나님에게서 칭찬을 받습니다

( No, a man is a Jew if he is one inwardly; and circumcision is circumcision of the heart, by the Spirit, not by the written code. Such a man's praise is not from men, but from God.)

로마서 3장

 

3:1 그러면 유대 사람의 특권은 무엇이며, 할례의 이로움은 무엇입니까?

( What advantage, then, is there in being a Jew, or what value is there in circumcision?)

 

3:2 모든 면에서 많이 있습니다 첫째는, 그들이 하나님의 말씀을 맡았다는 것입니다

( Much in every way! First of all, they have been entrusted with the very words of God.)

 

3:3 그런데 그들 가운데서 얼마가 신실하지 못했다고 해서 무슨 일이라도 일어납니까? 그들이 신실하지 못했다고 해서, 하나님의 신실하심이 없어지겠습니까?

( What if some did not have faith? Will their lack of faith nullify God's faithfulness?)

 

3:4 그럴 수 없습니다 사람은 다 거짓말쟁이이지만, 하나님은 참되십니다 성경에 기록한 바 "주님께서는 말씀하실 때에 의로우시다 인정을 받으시고 재판을 받으실 때에 주님께서 이기시려는 것입니다" 한 것과 같습니다

( Not at all! Let God be true, and every man a liar. As it is written: "So that you may be proved right when you speak and prevail when you judge.")

 

3:5 그런데 우리의 불의가 하나님의 의를 드러나게 한다면, 무엇이라고 말하겠습니까? 우리에게 진노를 내리시는 하나님이 불의하시다는 말입니까? （이것은 사람들이 말하는 방식으로 내가 말해 본 것입니다）

( But if our unrighteousness brings out God's righteousness more clearly, what shall we say? That God is unjust in bringing his wrath on us? (I am using a human argument.))

 

3:6 절대로 그럴 수 없습니다 만일 그렇다면 하나님께서 어떻게 세상을 심판하실 수 있겠습니까?

( Certainly not! If that were so, how could God judge the world?)

 

3:7 다음과 같이 반박하는 사람도 있을 것입니다 "나의 거짓됨 때문에 하나님의 참되심이 더욱 분명하게 드러나서 하나님께 영광이 돌아간다면, 왜 나도 역시 여전히 죄인으로 판정을 받습니까?"

( Someone might argue, "If my falsehood enhances God's truthfulness and so increases his glory, why am I still condemned as a sinner?")

 

3:8 더욱이 "좋은 일이 생기게 하기 위하여, 악한 일을 하자" 하고 말할 수 있겠습니까? 사실, 어떤 사람들은 우리가 그런 말을 한다고 비방합니다 그런 사람들은 심판을 받아야 마땅합니다

( Why not say--as we are being slanderously reported as saying and as some claim that we say--"Let us do evil that good may result"? Their condemnation is deserved.)

 

사람은 모두 죄인이다

 

3:9 그러면 무엇을 말해야 하겠습니까? 우리 유대 사람이 이방 사람보다 낫습니까? 전혀 그렇지 않습니다 유대 사람이나 그리스 사람이나, 다같이 죄 아래에 있음을 우리가 이미 지적하였습니다

( What shall we conclude then? Are we any better? Not at all! We have already made the charge that Jews and Gentiles alike are all under sin.)

 

3:10 성경에 이렇게 기록되어 있습니다 "의인은 없다 한 사람도 없다

( As it is written: "There is no one righteous, not even one;)

 

3:11 깨닫는 사람도 없고, 하나님을 찾는 사람도 없다

( there is no one who understands, no one who seeks God.)

 

3:12 모두가 곁길로 빠져서, 쓸모가 없게 되었다 선한 일을 하는 사람은 없다 한 사람도 없다"

( All have turned away, they have together become worthless; there is no one who does good, not even one.")

 

3:13 "그들의 목구멍은 열린 무덤이다 혀는 사람을 속인다" "입술에는 독사의 독이 있다"

( "Their throats are open graves; their tongues practice deceit." "The poison of vipers is on their lips.")

 

3:14 "입에는 저주와 독설이 가득 찼다"

( "Their mouths are full of cursing and bitterness.")

 

3:15 "발은 피를 흘리는 일에 빠르며,

( "Their feet are swift to shed blood;)

 

3:16 그들이 가는 길에는 파멸과 비참함이 있다

( ruin and misery mark their ways,)

 

3:17 그들은 평화의 길을 알지 못한다"

( and the way of peace they do not know.")

 

3:18 "그들의 눈에는 하나님을 두려워하는 빛이 없다"

( "There is no fear of God before their eyes.")

 

3:19 율법에 있는 모든 말씀이 율법 아래 사는 사람에게 말한 것임을 우리는 압니다 그것은 모든 입을 막고, 온 세상을 하나님 앞에서 유죄로 드러내려는 것입니다

( Now we know that whatever the law says, it says to those who are under the law, so that every mouth may be silenced and the whole world held accountable to God.)

 

3:20 그러므로 율법의 행위로는 하나님 앞에서 의롭다고 인정받을 사람이 아무도 없습니다 율법으로는 죄를 인식할 뿐입니다

( Therefore no one will be declared righteous in his sight by observing the law; rather, through the law we become conscious of sin.)

 

하나님의 의

 

3:21 그러나 이제는 율법과는 상관없이 하나님의 의가 나타났습니다 그것은 율법과 예언자들이 증언한 것입니다

( But now a righteousness from God, apart from law, has been made known, to which the Law and the Prophets testify.)

 

3:22 그런데 하나님의 의는 예수 그리스도를 믿는 믿음을 통하여 오는 것인데, 모든 믿는 사람에게 미칩니다 거기에는 아무 차별이 없습니다

( This righteousness from God comes through faith in Jesus Christ to all who believe. There is no difference,)

 

3:23 모든 사람이 죄를 범하였습니다 그래서 사람은 하나님의 영광에 못 미치는 처지에 놓여 있습니다

( for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God,)

 

3:24 그러나 사람은, 그리스도 예수 안에서 얻는 구원으로 말미암아, 하나님의 은혜로 값없이 의롭다는 선고를 받습니다

( and are justified freely by his grace through the redemption that came by Christ Jesus.)

 

3:25 하나님께서는 이 예수를 속죄제물로 내주셨습니다 그것은 그의 피를 믿을 때에 유효합니다 하나님께서 이렇게 하신 것은, 사람들이 이제까지 지은 죄를 너그럽게 보아주심으로써 자기의 의를 나타내시려는 것이었습니다

( God presented him as a sacrifice of atonement, through faith in his blood. He did this to demonstrate his justice, because in his forbearance he had left the sins committed beforehand unpunished--)

 

3:26 하나님께서 오래 참으시다가 지금 이 때에 자기의 의로우심을 나타내신 것은, 하나님은 의로우신 분이시라는 것과 예수를 믿는 사람은 누구나 의롭다고 하신다는 것을 보여 주시려는 것입니다

( he did it to demonstrate his justice at the present time, so as to be just and the one who justifies those who have faith in Jesus.)

 

3:27 그렇다면 사람이 자랑할 것이 어디에 있습니까? 전혀 없습니다 무슨 법으로 의롭게 됩니까? 행위의 법으로 됩니까? 아닙니다 믿음의 법으로 됩니다

3:28 사람이 율법의 행위와는 상관없이 믿음으로 의롭다고 인정을 받는다고 우리는 생각합니다

( For we maintain that a man is justified by faith apart from observing the law.)

 

3:29 하나님은 유대 사람만의 하나님이십니까? 이방 사람의 하나님도 되시지 않습니까? 그렇습니다 이방 사람의 하나님도 되십니다

( Is God the God of Jews only? Is he not the God of Gentiles too? Yes, of Gentiles too,)

 

3:30 참으로 하나님은 오직 한 분뿐이십니다 그러므로 하나님께서는 할례를 받은 사람도 믿음을 보시고 의롭다고 하시고, 할례를 받지 않은 사람도 믿음을 보시고 의롭다고 하십니다

( since there is only one God, who will justify the circumcised by faith and the uncircumcised through that same faith.)

 

3:31 그러면 믿음으로 말미암아 우리가 율법을 폐합니까? 그럴 수 없습니다 도리어 율법을 굳게 세웁니다

( Do we, then, nullify the law by this faith? Not at all! Rather, we uphold the law.)
