이사야31-35: 장차 오실 의의 왕

이사야 31장

 

31:1 도움을 청하러 이집트로 내려가는 자들에게 재앙이 닥칠 것이다 그들은 군마를 의지하고, 많은 병거를 믿고 기마병의 막강한 힘을 믿으면서, 이스라엘의 거룩하신 분은 바라보지도 않고, 주님께 구하지도 않는다

( Woe to those who go down to Egypt for help, who rely on horses, who trust in the multitude of their chariots and in the great strength of their horsemen, but do not look to the Holy One of Israel, or seek help from the LORD.)

 

31:2 그러나 주님께서는 지혜로우셔서, 재앙을 내리실 것이다 이미 하신 말씀은 취소하지 않으신다 주님께서 일어나셔서, 악을 일삼는 자의 집을 치시며, 악한 일을 돕는 자를 치실 것이다

( Yet he too is wise and can bring disaster; he does not take back his words. He will rise up against the house of the wicked, against those who help evildoers.)

 

31:3 이집트 사람은 사람일 뿐이요, 하나님이 아니며, 그들의 군마 또한 고기덩이일 뿐이요, 영이 아니다 주님께서 손을 들고 치시면, 돕던 자가 넘어지고, 도움을 받던 자도 쓰러져서, 모두 함께 멸망하고 말 것이다

( But the Egyptians are men and not God; their horses are flesh and not spirit. When the LORD stretches out his hand, he who helps will stumble, he who is helped will fall; both will perish together.)

 

31:4 주님께서 나에게 이런 말씀을 하셨다 "사자가 으르렁거릴 때에, 힘센 사자가 먹이를 잡고 으르렁거릴 때에, 목동들이 떼지어 몰려와서 소리 친다고 그 사자가 놀라느냐? 목동들이 몰려와서 고함 친다고 그 사자가 먹이를 버리고 도망가느냐?" 그렇듯, 만군의 주님께서도 그렇게 시온 산과 언덕들을 보호하신다

( This is what the LORD says to me: "As a lion growls, a great lion over his prey--and though a whole band of shepherds is called together against him, he is not frightened by their shouts or disturbed by their clamor--so the LORD Almighty will come down to do battle on Mount Zion and on its heights.)

 

31:5 새가 날개를 펴고 둥지의 새끼를 보호하듯이, 만군의 주님께서 예루살렘을 보호하신다 감싸 주고 건져 주며, 다치지 않게 뛰어넘어서, 그 도성을 살리신다

( Like birds hovering overhead, the LORD Almighty will shield Jerusalem; he will shield it and deliver it, he will 'pass over' it and will rescue it.")

 

31:6 이스라엘의 자손아, 너희가 그토록 거역하던 그분께로 돌이켜라

( Return to him you have so greatly revolted against, O Israelites.)

 

31:7 너희 각 사람이 너희 손으로 직접 은 우상과 금 우상을 만들어 죄를 지었으나, 그 날이 오면, 그 우상을 다 내던져야 할 것이다

( For in that day every one of you will reject the idols of silver and gold your sinful hands have made.)

 

31:8 "앗시리아가 칼에 쓰러지겠으나, 사람의 칼에 쓰러지는 것이 아니고, 칼에 멸망하겠으나, 인간의 칼에 멸망하는 것이 아니다 그가 칼 앞에서 도망할 것이요, 그 장정들이 강제노동을 하는 신세가 될 것이다

( "Assyria will fall by a sword that is not of man; a sword, not of mortals, will devour them. They will flee before the sword and their young men will be put to forced labor.)

 

31:9 그의 왕은 두려워서 달아나고, 겁에 질린 그의 지휘관들은 부대기를 버리고 도망할 것이다" 시온에 불을 가지고 계시며 예루살렘에 화덕을 가지고 계신 주님께서, 이렇게 말씀하셨다

( Their stronghold will fall because of terror; at sight of the battle standard their commanders will panic," declares the LORD, whose fire is in Zion, whose furnace is in Jerusalem.)

이사야 32장

 

32:1 "장차 한 왕이 나와서 공의로 통치하고, 통치자들이 공평으로 다스릴 것이다"

( See, a king will reign in righteousness and rulers will rule with justice.)

 

32:2 통치자들마다 광풍을 피하는 곳과 같고, 폭우를 막는 곳과 같게 될 것입니다 메마른 땅에서 흐르는 냇물과 같을 것이며, 사막에 있는 큰 바위 그늘과 같을 것입니다

( Each man will be like a shelter from the wind and a refuge from the storm, like streams of water in the desert and the shadow of a great rock in a thirsty land.)

 

32:3 "백성을 돌보는 통치자의 눈이 멀지 않을 것이며, 백성의 요구를 듣는 통치자의 귀가 막히지 않을 것이다

( Then the eyes of those who see will no longer be closed, and the ears of those who hear will listen.)

 

32:4 그들은 경솔하지 않을 것이며, 사려 깊게 행동할 것이며, 그들이 의도한 것을 분명하게 말할 것이다"

( The mind of the rash will know and understand, and the stammering tongue will be fluent and clear.)

 

32:5 아무도 어리석은 사람을 더 이상 고상한 사람이라고 부르지 않을 것이며, 간교한 사람을 존귀한 사람이라고 말하지 않을 것입니다

( No longer will the fool be called noble nor the scoundrel be highly respected.)

 

32:6 어리석은 사람은 어리석은 말을 하며, 그 마음으로 악을 좋아하여 불경건한 일을 하며, 주님께 함부로 말을 하고, 굶주린 사람에게 먹거리를 주지 않고, 목마른 사람에게 마실 물을 주지 않습니다

( For the fool speaks folly, his mind is busy with evil: He practices ungodliness and spreads error concerning the LORD; the hungry he leaves empty and from the thirsty he withholds water.)

 

32:7 우둔한 사람은 악해서, 간계나 꾸미며, 힘 없는 사람들이 정당한 권리를 주장해도, 거짓말로 그 가난한 사람들을 파멸시킵니다

( The scoundrel's methods are wicked, he makes up evil schemes to destroy the poor with lies, even when the plea of the needy is just.)

 

32:8 그러나 고귀한 사람은 고귀한 일을 계획하고, 그 고귀한 뜻을 펼치며 삽니다

( But the noble man makes noble plans, and by noble deeds he stands.)

 

32:9 안일하게 사는 여인들아, 일어나서 나의 목소리를 들어라 걱정거리가 없이 사는 딸들아, 내가 하는 말에 귀를 기울여라

( You women who are so complacent, rise up and listen to me; you daughters who feel secure, hear what I have to say!)

 

32:10 걱정거리가 없이 사는 딸들아, 일 년이 채 되지 못하여 몸서리 칠 일이 생길 것이다 포도농사가 망하여 거둘 것이 없을 것이다

( In little more than a year you who feel secure will tremble; the grape harvest will fail, and the harvest of fruit will not come.)

 

32:11 안일하게 사는 여인들아, 몸부림 쳐라 걱정거리가 없이 사는 여인들아, 몸서리 쳐라 맨몸이 되도록 옷을 다 벗어버리고 베로 허리를 둘러라

( Tremble, you complacent women; shudder, you daughters who feel secure! Strip off your clothes, put sackcloth around your waists.)

 

32:12 밭농사와 포도농사를 망쳤으니, 가슴을 쳐라

( Beat your breasts for the pleasant fields, for the fruitful vines)

 

32:13 나의 백성이 사는 땅에 가시덤불과 찔레나무가 자랄 것이니, 가슴을 쳐라 기쁨이 넘치던 모든 집과 흥겨운 소리 그치지 않던 성읍을 기억하고, 가슴을 쳐라

( and for the land of my people, a land overgrown with thorns and briers--yes, mourn for all houses of merriment and for this city of revelry.)

 

32:14 요새는 파괴되고, 붐비던 도성은 텅 비고, 망대와 탑이 영원히 돌무더기가 되어서, 들나귀들이 즐거이 뛰노는 곳, 양 떼가 풀을 뜯는 곳이 될 것이다

( The fortress will be abandoned, the noisy city deserted; citadel and watchtower will become a wasteland forever, the delight of donkeys, a pasture for flocks,)

 

32:15 그러나 주님께서 저 높은 곳에서부터 다시 우리에게 영을 보내 주시면, 황무지는 기름진 땅이 되고, 광야는 온갖 곡식을 풍성하게 내는 곡창지대가 될 것이다

( till the Spirit is poured upon us from on high, and the desert becomes a fertile field, and the fertile field seems like a forest.)

 

32:16 그 때에는, 광야에 공평이 자리잡고, 기름진 땅에 의가 머물 것이다

( Justice will dwell in the desert and righteousness live in the fertile field.)

 

32:17 의의 열매는 평화요, 의의 결실은 영원한 평안과 안전이다

( The fruit of righteousness will be peace; the effect of righteousness will be quietness and confidence forever.)

 

32:18 나의 백성은 평화로운 집에서 살며, 안전한 거처, 평온히 쉴 수 있는 곳에서 살 것이다

( My people will live in peaceful dwelling places, in secure homes, in undisturbed places of rest.)

 

32:19 （비록 삼림이 우박에 쓰러지고 성읍이 완전히 무너져 내려도,）

( Though hail flattens the forest and the city is leveled completely,)

 

32:20 씨를 뿌리는 곳마다 댈 물이 넉넉하고, 어디에서나 안심하고 소와 나귀를 놓아 키울 수 있으니, 너희는 복이 있다

( how blessed you will be, sowing your seed by every stream, and letting your cattle and donkeys range free.)

이사야 33장

 

33:1 약탈 한 번 당하지 않고, 남을 약탈하기만 한 자야, 너에게 재앙이 닥칠 것이다 배반 한 번 당하지 않고, 남을 배반하기만 한 자야, 너에게 재앙이 닥칠 것이다 너의 약탈이 끝나면, 이제 네가 약탈을 당할 것이며, 너의 배반이 끝나면, 이제 네가 배반을 당할 것이다

( Woe to you, O destroyer, you who have not been destroyed! Woe to you, O traitor, you who have not been betrayed! When you stop destroying, you will be destroyed; when you stop betraying, you will be betrayed.)

 

33:2 주님, 우리에게 은혜를 베풀어 주십시오 우리가 주님을 기다립니다 아침마다 우리의 능력이 되어 주시고, 어려울 때에 우리의 구원이 되어 주십시오

( O LORD, be gracious to us; we long for you. Be our strength every morning, our salvation in time of distress.)

 

33:3 주님의 우렁찬 소리에 백성이 도망 치며, 주님께서 일어나셔서 우리편이 되어 싸우시니, 민족들이 흩어집니다

( At the thunder of your voice, the peoples flee; when you rise up, the nations scatter.)

 

33:4 민족들아, 사람들이 황충이 떼처럼 몰려들어서, 너희가 약탈한 전리품을 빼앗을 것이다 메뚜기 떼가 뛰어오르듯, 사람들이 그 탈취물 위에 달려들 것이다

( Your plunder, O nations, is harvested as by young locusts; like a swarm of locusts men pounce on it.)

 

33:5 주님은 참으로 위대하시다! 저 높은 곳에 계시면서도, 시온을 공평과 의로 충만하게 하실 것이다

( The LORD is exalted, for he dwells on high; he will fill Zion with justice and righteousness.)

 

33:6 주님께서 너로 안정된 시대를 누리게 하실 것이다 주님께서 늘 백성을 구원하시고, 지혜와 지식을 주신다 주님을 경외하는 것이 가장 귀중한 보배다

( He will be the sure foundation for your times, a rich store of salvation and wisdom and knowledge; the fear of the LORD is the key to this treasure.)

 

33:7 용사들이 거리에서 살려 달라고 울부짖고, 평화협상에 나섰던 사절이 슬피 운다

( Look, their brave men cry aloud in the streets; the envoys of peace weep bitterly.)

 

33:8 큰길마다 위험하여 행인이 끊기며, 적이 평화조약을 파기하며, 증인들이 경멸을 받으며, 아무도 존경을 받지 못한다

( The highways are deserted, no travelers are on the roads. The treaty is broken, its witnesses are despised, no one is respected.)

 

33:9 땅이 통곡하고 고달파 하며, 레바논이 부끄러워하고 메마르며, 샤론은 아라바 사막과 같으며, 바산과 갈멜은 나뭇잎이 모조리 떨어진다

( The land mourns and wastes away, Lebanon is ashamed and withers; Sharon is like the Arabah, and Bashan and Carmel drop their leaves.)

 

33:10 주님께서 말씀하신다 "이제는 내가 활동을 시작하겠다 이제는 내가 일어나서, 나의 권능이 얼마나 큰지를 나타내 보이겠다

( "Now will I arise," says the LORD. "Now will I be exalted; now will I be lifted up.)

 

33:11 너희는 겨를 잉태하여 지푸라기를 낳는다 너희는 제 꾀에 속아 넘어간다

( You conceive chaff, you give birth to straw; your breath is a fire that consumes you.)

 

33:12 뭇 민족은 불에 탄 석회같이 되며, 찍어다가 태우는 가시덤불같이 될 것이다

( The peoples will be burned as if to lime; like cut thornbushes they will be set ablaze.")

 

33:13 너희 먼 곳에 있는 자들아, 내가 무슨 일을 하였는지 들어 보아라! 너희 가까운 곳에 있는 자들아, 나의 권능을 깨달아라!"

( You who are far away, hear what I have done; you who are near, acknowledge my power!)

 

33:14 시온에서는 죄인들이 공포에 떨고 경건하지 않은 자들이 두려움에 사로잡힌다 "우리들 가운데 누가 사르는 불을 견디어 내겠는가? 우리들 가운데 누가 꺼지지 않는 불덩이를 견디어 내겠는가?" 하고 말한다

( The sinners in Zion are terrified; trembling grips the godless: "Who of us can dwell with the consuming fire? Who of us can dwell with everlasting burning?")

 

33:15 의롭게 사는 사람, 정직하게 말하는 사람, 권세를 부려 가난한 사람의 재산을 착취하는 일은 아예 생각하지도 않는 사람, 뇌물을 거절하는 사람, 살인자의 음모에 귀를 막는 사람, 악을 꾀하는 것을 보지 않으려고 눈을 감는 사람,

( He who walks righteously and speaks what is right, who rejects gain from extortion and keeps his hand from accepting bribes, who stops his ears against plots of murder and shuts his eyes against contemplating evil--)

 

33:16 바로 이런 사람들이 안전한 곳에 산다 돌로 쌓은 견고한 산성이 그의 은신처가 될 것이다 먹거리가 끊어지지 않고, 마실 물이 떨어지지 않는다

( this is the man who will dwell on the heights, whose refuge will be the mountain fortress. His bread will be supplied, and water will not fail him.)

 

33:17 네가 다시 한 번 왕의 장엄한 모습을 볼 것이며, 백성은 사방으로 확장된 영토를 볼 것이다

( Your eyes will see the king in his beauty and view a land that stretches afar.)

 

33:18 너는 지난날 무서웠던 일들을 돌이켜보며, 격세지감을 느낄 것이다 서슬이 시퍼렇던 이방인 총독, 가혹하게 세금을 물리고, 무리하게 재물을 빼앗던 이방인 세금 징수관들, 늘 너의 뒤를 밟으며 감시하던 정보원들, 모두 옛날 이야기가 될 것이다

( In your thoughts you will ponder the former terror: "Where is that chief officer? Where is the one who took the revenue? Where is the officer in charge of the towers?")

 

33:19 악한 백성, 곧 네가 알아듣지 못하는 언어로 말을 하며 이해할 수도 없는 언어로 말하던 그 악한 이방인을, 다시는 더 보지 않을 것이다

( You will see those arrogant people no more, those people of an obscure speech, with their strange, incomprehensible tongue.)

 

33:20 우리가 마음껏 절기를 지킬 수 있는 우리의 도성 시온을 보아라 옮겨지지 않을 장막, 예루살렘을 보아라 우리가 살기에 얼마나 안락한 곳인가? 다시는 옮겨지지 않을 장막과도 같다 그 말뚝이 영원히 뽑히지 않을 것이며, 그 줄이 하나도 끊어지지 않을 것이다

( Look upon Zion, the city of our festivals; your eyes will see Jerusalem, a peaceful abode, a tent that will not be moved; its stakes will never be pulled up, nor any of its ropes broken.)

 

33:21 거기에서는 주님께서 우리의 능력이 되시니, 그 곳은 마치 드넓은 강과 시내가 흐르는 곳 같겠지만, 대적의 배가 그리로 오지 못하고, 적군의 군함이 들어올 엄두도 못낼 것이다

( There the LORD will be our Mighty One. It will be like a place of broad rivers and streams. No galley with oars will ride them, no mighty ship will sail them.)

 

33:22 주님께서는 우리의 재판관이시며, 주님께서는 우리에게 법을 세워 주시는 분이시며, 주님께서는 우리의 왕이시니, 우리를 구원하실 분이시다

( For the LORD is our judge, the LORD is our lawgiver, the LORD is our king; it is he who will save us.)

 

33:23 그리로 들어오는 배마다, 돛대 줄이 느슨하여 돛대를 똑바로 세우지 못하고, 돛을 펴지도 못할 것이다 우리는 많은 탈취물을 얻을 것이다 다리를 저는 사람들까지도 많이 탈취할 것이다

( Your rigging hangs loose: The mast is not held secure, the sail is not spread. Then an abundance of spoils will be divided and even the lame will carry off plunder.)

 

33:24 거기에서는 아무도 "내가 병들었다"고 말하지 않겠고, 거기에서 사는 백성은 죄를 용서받을 것이다

( No one living in Zion will say, "I am ill"; and the sins of those who dwell there will be forgiven.)

이사야 34장

 

34:1 민족들아, 가까이 와서 들어라 백성들아, 귀를 기울여라 땅과 거기에 가득한 것들아, 세상과 그 안에서 사는 모든 것들아, 들어라

( Come near, you nations, and listen; pay attention, you peoples! Let the earth hear, and all that is in it, the world, and all that comes out of it!)

 

34:2 주님께서 모든 민족에게 진노하시고, 그들의 모든 군대에게 분노하셔서 그들을 진멸시키시려고 하신다 그들이 살해당하도록 버려 두시기로 작정하셨다

( The LORD is angry with all nations; his wrath is upon all their armies. He will totally destroy them, he will give them over to slaughter.)

 

34:3 죽은 자들이 내동댕이쳐져서, 그 시체에서는 악취가 솟아오르며, 홍수처럼 흐르는 피에 산들이 무너져 내릴 것이다

( Their slain will be thrown out, their dead bodies will send up a stench; the mountains will be soaked with their blood.)

 

34:4 해와 달과 별들이 떨어져서 가루가 되고, 하늘은 마치 두루마리처럼 말릴 것이다 포도나무의 잎이 말라 떨어지듯이, 무화과나무의 잎이 말라 떨어지듯이, 하늘에 있는 별들이 떨어질 것이다

( All the stars of the heavens will be dissolved and the sky rolled up like a scroll; all the starry host will fall like withered leaves from the vine, like shriveled figs from the fig tree.)

 

34:5 "나의 칼이 하늘에서 흡족하게 마셨으니, 그 칼이 이제 에돔을 칠 것이다 내가 나의 칼에게, 에돔을 심판하여 진멸시키라고 명하였다"

( My sword has drunk its fill in the heavens; see, it descends in judgment on Edom, the people I have totally destroyed.)

 

34:6 제물을 잡은 주님의 칼이 어린 양과 염소의 피에 흥건히 젖고, 숫양의 콩팥에서 나온 기름이 그 칼에 엉겨붙듯이, 주님의 칼이 그들의 피에 흥건히 젖고, 그 기름이 그 칼에 엉겨붙었다 주님께서 보스라에서 그 백성을 희생제물로 잡으시고 에돔 땅에서 그 백성을 크게 살육하신 것이다

( The sword of the LORD is bathed in blood, it is covered with fat--the blood of lambs and goats, fat from the kidneys of rams. For the LORD has a sacrifice in Bozrah and a great slaughter in Edom.)

 

34:7 백성이 들소처럼 쓰러질 것이다 송아지와 황소처럼 쓰러질 것이다 땅이 핏빛으로 물들고, 흙이 기름에 엉길 것이다

( And the wild oxen will fall with them, the bull calves and the great bulls. Their land will be drenched with blood, and the dust will be soaked with fat.)

 

34:8 이 때가 바로, 주님께서 복수하시는 날이니, 시온을 구하여 주시고 대적을 파멸시키시는 해, 보상하여 주시는 해이다

( For the LORD has a day of vengeance, a year of retribution, to uphold Zion's cause.)

 

34:9 에돔의 강들이 역청으로 변하고, 흙이 유황으로 변하고, 온 땅이 역청처럼 타오를 것이다

( Edom's streams will be turned into pitch, her dust into burning sulfur; her land will become blazing pitch!)

 

34:10 그 불이 밤낮으로 꺼지지 않고 타서, 그 연기가 끊임없이 치솟으며, 에돔은 영원토록 황폐하여, 영원히 그리로 지나가는 사람이 없을 것이다

( It will not be quenched night and day; its smoke will rise forever. From generation to generation it will lie desolate; no one will ever pass through it again.)

 

34:11 펠리컨과 고슴도치가 그 땅을 차지하겠고, 부엉이와 까마귀가 거기에서 자리를 잡을 것이다 주님께서 에돔을 '혼돈의 줄'과 '황무의 추'로 재실 터이니, 에돔을 창조 전처럼 황무하게 하실 것이다

( The desert owl and screech owl will possess it; the great owl and the raven will nest there. God will stretch out over Edom the measuring line of chaos and the plumb line of desolation.)

 

34:12 거기에는, 나라를 세울 통치자들이 없을 것이며, 백성을 다스릴 지도자도 없을 것이다

( Her nobles will have nothing there to be called a kingdom, all her princes will vanish away.)

 

34:13 궁궐이 있던 곳마다 가시나무가 돋아나고, 그 요새에는 쐐기풀과 엉겅퀴만 무성할 것이다 그 곳은 승냥이 떼의 굴이 되고, 타조들의 집이 될 것이다

( Thorns will overrun her citadels, nettles and brambles her strongholds. She will become a haunt for jackals, a home for owls.)

 

34:14 거기에서는 들짐승들이 이리 떼와 만나고, 숫염소가 소리를 내어 서로를 찾을 것이다 밤짐승이 거기에서 머물러 쉴 곳을 찾을 것이다

( Desert creatures will meet with hyenas, and wild goats will bleat to each other; there the night creatures will also repose and find for themselves places of rest.)

 

34:15 부엉이가 집을 만들어 거기에 깃들고, 그 알을 낳아 까서, 제 몸으로 그늘을 만들어 덮을 것이다 솔개들도 제 짝과 함께 그리로 모일 것이다

( The owl will nest there and lay eggs, she will hatch them, and care for her young under the shadow of her wings; there also the falcons will gather, each with its mate.)

 

34:16 주님의 책을 자세히 읽어 보아라 이 짐승들 가운데서 어느 것 하나 빠지는 것이 없겠고, 하나도 그 짝이 없는 짐승은 없을 것이다 주님께서 친히 입을 열어 그렇게 되라고 명하셨고 주님의 영이 친히 그 짐승들을 모으실 것이기 때문이다

( Look in the scroll of the LORD and read: None of these will be missing, not one will lack her mate. For it is his mouth that has given the order, and his Spirit will gather them together.)

 

34:17 주님께서 친히 그 짐승들에게 땅을 나누어 주시고, 손수 줄을 그어서 그렇게 나누어 주실 것이니, 그 짐승들이 영원히 그 땅을 차지할 것이며, 세세토록 거기에서 살 것이다

( He allots their portions; his hand distributes them by measure. They will possess it forever and dwell there from generation to generation.)

이사야 35장

 

35:1 광야와 메마른 땅이 기뻐하며, 사막이 백합화처럼 피어 즐거워할 것이다

( The desert and the parched land will be glad; the wilderness will rejoice and blossom. Like the crocus,)

 

35:2 사막은 꽃이 무성하게 피어, 크게 기뻐하며, 즐겁게 소리 칠 것이다 레바논의 영광과 갈멜과 샤론의 영화가, 사막에서 꽃 피며, 사람들이 주님의 영광을 보며, 우리 하나님의 영화를 볼 것이다

( it will burst into bloom; it will rejoice greatly and shout for joy. The glory of Lebanon will be given to it, the splendor of Carmel and Sharon; they will see the glory of the LORD, the splendor of our God.)

 

35:3 너희는 맥풀린 손이 힘을 쓰게 하여라 떨리는 무릎을 굳세게 하여라

( Strengthen the feeble hands, steady the knees that give way;)

 

35:4 두려워하는 사람을 격려하여라 "굳세어라 두려워하지 말아라 너희의 하나님께서 복수하러 오신다 하나님께서 보복하러 오신다 너희를 구원하여 주신다" 하고 말하여라

( say to those with fearful hearts, "Be strong, do not fear; your God will come, he will come with vengeance; with divine retribution he will come to save you.")

 

35:5 그 때에 눈먼 사람의 눈이 밝아지고, 귀먹은 사람의 귀가 열릴 것이다

( Then will the eyes of the blind be opened and the ears of the deaf unstopped.)

 

35:6 그 때에 다리를 절던 사람이 사슴처럼 뛰고, 말을 못하던 혀가 노래를 부를 것이다 광야에서 물이 솟겠고, 사막에 시냇물이 흐를 것이다

( Then will the lame leap like a deer, and the mute tongue shout for joy. Water will gush forth in the wilderness and streams in the desert.)

 

35:7 뜨겁게 타오르던 땅은 연못이 되고, 메마른 땅은 물이 쏟아져 나오는 샘이 될 것이다 승냥이 떼가 뒹굴며 살던 곳에는, 풀 대신에 갈대와 왕골이 날 것이다

( The burning sand will become a pool, the thirsty ground bubbling springs. In the haunts where jackals once lay, grass and reeds and papyrus will grow.)

 

35:8 거기에는 큰길이 생길 것이니, 그것을 '거룩한 길'이라고 부를 것이다 깨끗하지 못한 자는 그리로 다닐 수 없다 그 길은 오직 그리로 다닐 수 있는 사람들의 것이다 악한 사람은 그 길로 다닐 수 없고, 어리석은 사람은 그 길에서 서성거리지도 못할 것이다

( And a highway will be there; it will be called the Way of Holiness. The unclean will not journey on it; it will be for those who walk in that Way; wicked fools will not go about on it.)

 

35:9 거기에는 사자가 없고, 사나운 짐승도 그리로 지나다니지 않을 것이다 그 길에는 그런 짐승들은 없을 것이다 오직 구원받은 사람만이 그 길을 따라 고향으로 갈 것이다

( No lion will be there, nor will any ferocious beast get up on it; they will not be found there. But only the redeemed will walk there,)

 

35:10 주님께 속량받은 사람들이 예루살렘으로 돌아올 것이다 그들이 기뻐 노래하며 시온에 이를 것이다 기쁨이 그들에게 영원히 머물고, 즐거움과 기쁨이 넘칠 것이니, 슬픔과 탄식이 사라질 것이다

( and the ransomed of the LORD will return. They will enter Zion with singing; everlasting joy will crown their heads. Gladness and joy will overtake them, and sorrow and sighing will flee away.)
